Chapter 80 The Second Dumbledore

Cyrus greedily breathed in the humid air in the secret room.

To be honest, the smell here is not so pleasant, the air smells like it has been rotting for a thousand years. But for Cyrus now, this is the smell of life itself!

He "enjoyed" it for almost a minute, during which he did nothing, not even conjuring up a suitable piece of clothing for himself. But soon, he woke up from his intoxication.

A journey of a hundred miles begins with a single step. Now is not the time to celebrate.

He conjured himself a set of clothes that were exactly the same as the ones Riddle wore in his memory fifty years ago, and then took out the Marauder's Map from Ginny's pocket.

On the map, the name Minerva McGonagall walked to the door of the bathroom, and after a brief pause, she left in a hurry.

Cyrus imagined the stern teacher's panicked expression after seeing the words on the wall, and she hurriedly and helplessly spread the news to all the professors and students, and then prepared to close the school.

Maybe she would try to contact Dumbledore? But in any case, Dumbledore's name had not yet appeared in the castle.

When Cyrus thought of Dumbledore, he had a bad feeling in his heart. This old man put too much pressure on him, and Cyrus was always worried that something unexpected would happen.

Fortunately, the Marauder's Map will not go wrong.

"I remember that in the original book, Dumbledore returned to the castle during the time when Harry went to the Chamber of Secrets. Maybe I still have time to get the Invisibility Cloak."

The power of the Death Cloak seemed to be slightly weaker than the other two Deathly Hallows, but it was still a treasure. What Cyrus was more concerned about was the legend that those who possessed three Deathly Hallows were equivalent to controlling death.

The only person who possessed these three treasures at the same time in the original book was Harry Potter, and in fact, he did come back to life from King's Cross Station in the soul and returned to reality.

What if I also collected the three Deathly Hallows? Coincidentally, Cyrus knew the location of these three Hallows and how to obtain them.

Without much hesitation, he turned around and spoke to the statue of Slytherin in Parseltongue: "Speak to me, Slytherin - the greatest of the four great men of Hogwarts."

Slytherin's huge stone face moved, its mouth opened, widening wider and wider, and finally forming a huge black hole.

Something was moving in the statue's mouth. Something was rustling and sliding upward from deep inside the statue.

A huge snake monster, green all over, with the bright light of a poisonous snake, its body as thick as an oak tree trunk. It stretched its upper body high into the air, and its flat head was randomly weaving around among the stone pillars, like a drunk.

Finally, the basilisk slowly swam in front of Cyrus and waited for his orders.

"You are a little too big, it's better to be smaller." Cyrus used his wand to press against the basilisk's body and cast a superb shrinking spell. The huge basilisk immediately turned into a small snake with the thickness of a finger under his magic power, and then slid along his arm and hid in Cyrus' sleeve.

Then, Cyrus left the secret room. As he walked down the corridor, Magna's voice, amplified many times by magic, began to echo in the castle:

"All students, please return to your respective dormitories immediately. All teachers, please return to the staff lounge. Please act immediately."

Students crowded out, and Cyrus disappeared in the crowd, following everyone towards the tower on the corner of the eighth floor. The students were panic-stricken and uneasy.

"Fred, George, do you know what happened?" Li pushed through the crowd, and he seemed to be swept forward by the waves.

"What else?" The twins shook their shoulders at the same time.

Cyrus followed them into the Gryffindor tower, and Percy and a female prefect began to count the number of people, mainly the number of girls, but the more he counted, the paler his face became.

Ginny was gone.

The sky began to darken. Cyrus passed by the mirror on the fifth floor, walked through the statue of the one-eyed witch on the fourth floor, and walked out of the castle gate. He picked a few mandrake leaves while passing by the greenhouse, and finally he came to the Whomping Willow.

From here you can see the castle and the Black Lake, and the castle seems to be glowing under the golden sunset.

But the fire will soon dim and disappear, and eventually everything will be shrouded in darkness.

Cyrus slowly walked to the front of the Whomping Willow and touched its scar with his wand before the Whomping Willow could see him. The irritable willow tree immediately calmed down.

In this way, Cyrus, wearing an invisibility cloak, leaned against a tree trunk, and looked down at the traces of travel on the Marauder's Map in the last remaining fire of the evening.

He saw the teachers separate in the staff room, each going to their own office or college. Professor McGonagall took the three Weasleys to her office in the Gryffindor common room, and the headmaster's office was still empty, and Dumbledore's name had not appeared anywhere.

Dumbledore hadn't returned yet, but Harry and Ron were already on the move.

They found Lockhart, and the three of them stayed in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom for a long time. Finally, Lockhart was forced to follow them to the bathroom.

Then, their trace disappeared from the Marauder's Map.

About half an hour later, Dumbledore's name appeared in Professor McGonagall's office along with Molly Weasley and Arthur Weasley.

Cyrus stood up suddenly, breathing a little faster.

Dumbledore showed up, and just like in the book, he appeared in the school. The Whomping Willow was the farthest escape route from him. Apparition was not allowed in Hogwarts, and Fawkes would be sent by him to help Harry. By the time Dumbledore realized something was wrong and came looking for him, Cyrus had already escaped.

"It's time to go! Goodbye, Dumbledore—"

The sun had completely set.

A few not-so-bright stars twinkled in the dark blue sky. Cyrus grabbed the tree trunk with one hand and jumped lightly into the secret cave under the willow tree.

He walked for a long time, and the tunnel began to slope upward. After a while, after turning a corner, a little light came in, and he immediately knew that he was about to reach the exit.

It was a messy, gray room, with peeling wallpaper, stains all over the floor, broken furniture as if someone had smashed it, and the windows were boarded up.

The Shrieking Shack, the transformation place specially prepared for Lupin at Hogwarts, has been considered a terrifying haunted house by wizards for more than a decade, and in theory it is the safest place. But it seems that this is not the case tonight -

Cyrus' face turned pale under the invisibility cloak, and he looked in horror at the white-bearded old man standing by the window with his back to the moonlight.

It's Dumbledore! 'But how did Dumbledore appear here?'

Cyrus hurriedly lowered his head and took another look at the Marauder's Map. On the map, in Professor McGonagall's office, Dumbledore's name was still glaring! Two Dumbledores?
