Chapter 87 Unbreakable Vow

Cyrus was also wearing the same black and white striped prison uniform as Sirius, but this one looked much more energetic on him. He didn't look like a prisoner at all, but more like the warden of Azkaban.

"I know who you are, Sirius."

"Ha..." Sirius sat down on the ground as if he had heard some funny joke, and said self-deprecatingly, "All wizards in Britain know me, the craziest minion of the Dark Lord."

"I know you're not." Cyrus lowered his voice, "You've never betrayed your friends, have you? Peter Pettigrew is the traitor. You didn't refute the accusations during the trial because you wanted to atone for your sins in Azkaban, didn't you?"

Sirius's numb and cloudy eyes showed some light for the first time.

"Who are you? Who told you this?"

"It doesn't matter. I can tell you a secret, but you have to help me do something. Don't worry, it's easy and no one will be hurt." Cyrus looked into Sirius' eyes calmly and said softly.

"I don't care what secrets you have!" Sirius refused without hesitation. He didn't want to hang out with a prisoner whose background he didn't know. Who knew who he was and what his hidden purpose was? He dragged his heavy anklets out of the cell door and shrank into the darkness.

"Are you willing to sink here instead of deciding to leave here and make some compensation for that poor child? Don't forget that you are the godfather of that child. You can give him a real home and you can become a family."

"Harry, family..."

When he mentioned the name, Sirius seemed to become brighter like a star in the night sky, but soon dimmed again. He was discouraged: "What can I do for the child? Do you think he will be willing to follow a man who killed his parents? It will be better without me. Hagrid took him to Lily's relatives, and they will raise him."

"That's only because you don't know his situation. Harry is probably living no better than you at his aunt's house—" Cyrus shook his head, "The closet he sleeps in is not even half the size of your cell. Not to mention, he's in danger now. The mysterious man has his eyes on him."

"The You-Know-Who? He's been defeated!" Sirius rushed out from the darkness and grabbed the iron bars tightly.

"Yes, but he's not dead!" Cyrus looked him straight in the eye. "In fact, he came back two years ago. In order to revive himself, he tried to get the Philosopher's Stone, but Harry stopped him. He's a brave boy, isn't he? But how many times can he stop You-Know-Who?

"And if you really feel guilty about what happened back then, then you should leave here and do what you should do. You can protect him so that he won't be hurt by Peter Pettigrew."

"He's dead, dead! I cornered him!" Sirius went crazy as soon as he heard the name of the filthy betrayer. He grumbled like a mad dog, "He blew himself up, blew himself up into ashes, leaving only a little finger!"

"Really, you think so? You saw his body?" Cyrus asked softly.

In fact, this statement was not very convincing. Sirius believed that Peter's body was destroyed by black magic. Since it had been blown up, it was normal that there was no corpse.

However, Cyrus's confident tone still made him waver: "Do you think a coward like him would be willing to sacrifice his life?"

Sirius seemed to have received a heavy blow, he took a step back, and tried to recall all the details of the past, but he soon found that he could not find any evidence to prove that Peter Pettigrew was really dead.

"He, he...if he is still alive, how could he not show up for so long?"

"Because he is still afraid. Think about it, he told the You-Know-Who the location of the child, and what happened? The You-Know-Who disappeared! What would those Death Eaters think?" Cyrus shifted his gaze away from Sirius and looked around at the other prisoners in Azkaban.

Sirius soon understood what he meant.

Those who have lost power due to You-Know-Who's downfall will not let Peter Pettigrew go.

Even now, most of the Death Eaters were in prison, and the rest might not really want You-Know-Who to return, but if they could kill Pettigrew, at least they could give You-Know-Who an explanation when he returned.

"You know where he is, right!" Sirius glared at Cyrus, "You know where Peter Pettigrew is! Tell me! Let me kill this traitor! Tell me!"

He roared loudly, and the huge sound even awakened the other Death Eaters who were in a numb state. They didn't hear clearly what Cyrus and Sirius said, but they heard Sirius's last roar.

Peter Pettigrew, who killed the Dark Lord, is still alive?

This guy who made them suffer so much in this hell is still alive?

“Boom!”

“Boom!”

"Let me kill him!"

"Let me go!"

Her eyes revealed a cruel murderous intent, she was not seeking freedom, or even escaping from this painful place, but to avenge her master.

This is a woman who is loyal to the Dark Lord. In her heart, Voldemort's status has long surpassed her own husband, family, and even herself. If Cyrus revealed his "identity" to her, I'm afraid she would immediately offer her body and soul.

And she is also very capable and can help Cyrus do a lot of things.

But Cyrus never even paused to look at her.

Bella might be very useful, but he can't use her now. Don't think he's very powerful just because he drove away hundreds of Soul Eaters at once. In fact, this is because of the structure inside Azkaban, so he only faces a few Soul Eaters at a time.

If he left this prison, the Soul Eaters would swarm in from all directions. He didn't even have a magic wand, so how could he possibly deal with them?

In this situation, only Sirius, who can enter and exit Azkaban freely, can help him.

"I can tell you where Peter Pettigrew is, but I want you to do me a favor." Cyrus put his hand through the gap in the iron bars and stopped in front of Sirius. "You must make an unbreakable oath!"

Cyrus was worried that once Sirius left, he might find a way to know his "identity", and then he would regret it immediately. His hatred for the mysterious man was no less than that for Peter Pettigrew.

"Unbreakable oath? Then you must at least find a witness."

“It’s not necessary for me.”

Cyrus took his dirty hands.

"Really? Where's your wand?"

"No need for a wand." Cyrus stretched out the fingers of his right hand and placed them on his and Sirius's clasped left hands.

"Sirius Black, I will tell you about Peter Pettigrew. After you leave Azkaban, can you do me a favor immediately? I need you to bring me a few things from Lucius Malfoy."

"Lucius Malfoy?" Sirius frowned and hesitated a little. Could anyone who was related to the Malfoy family be a good person?

"Are you willing?" Cyrus continued to ask.

"You must guarantee that no one will get hurt, and that this is not an attempt to hurt anyone! Can you guarantee that?" Sirius took the initiative and looked at Cyrus with burning eyes.

To his surprise, Cyrus agreed easily.

"I promise that what I ask you to do will not cause harm to anyone on your own will."

A thin, dazzling tongue of fire burst out from Cyrus's fingertips, like a red, hot wire, wrapping around their clasped hands.

"Then I agree too!" Sirius said impatiently.

The second curse also locked their arms tightly like a branding iron.

"Do you guarantee that all the information you gave me about Peter Pettigrew is true?" Sirius immediately asked the question he was most concerned about.

"I promise." Cyrus nodded and made another oath, "You must promise not to reveal any information about me to anyone, and not to ask anyone about me before you complete my mission..."

"I do..."
