Chapter 173: Flitwick's Return
Mike frowned slightly and looked down at the wine glass on the table.
Sure enough, a lot of the wine in it had been drunk.
Looking at Penelo's dazed look, Mike was a little dissatisfied.
However, this dissatisfaction must not be shown at this time. Mike knew that if he rashly accused the other girl of getting drunk casually, the result would be nothing but a more intense quarrel.
"Sorry, I'm late." Mike raised his glass and said apologetically, "How about I punish myself with a glass?"
Penelo tilted her head and looked at the wine glass in Mike's hand with a playful look, smiled and pursed her lips to indicate that Mike could drink it in
one gulp. Although there was not much fire whiskey in Mike's glass, Mike's body was still young, and he would definitely be drunk if he drank it directly. Penelo felt that a smart person like Mike would never let himself get drunk.
Looking at Penelo's somewhat teasing eyes, could Mike still bear it? He gritted his teeth and raised the glass to pour it into his mouth.
Just as his lips touched the wine glass, a delicate hand suddenly grabbed Mike's hand.
"Forget it, alcohol is not a good thing." Penelo said, "Besides, at your age, alcohol may cause permanent damage to your mental strength and nerves."
Mike also took advantage of the situation and put the wine glass back on the table with Penelo's strength.
Penelo was about to pull back her hand but was caught by Mike.
"Then... do you forgive me?"
"Forgive you for what?"
Penelo turned her head away and deliberately didn't look at Mike, but the little hand held by Mike didn't have any intention of breaking free.
"I don't want to make any excuses. I was wrong this time." Mike smiled and gently stroked the back of Penelo's hand and said, "My glory belongs to you, my queen."
The fireplace crackled, and the twisted and jumping fire made Penelo's face red. I don't know if it was because of the wine, Penelo suddenly became bold.
The little hand held by Mike gently scratched the palm of Mike's hand, threw a coquettish look at Mike and said unhappily: "Okay, I forgive you."
Hearing this, Mike immediately breathed a sigh of relief and made an exaggerated sigh of relief, which made Penelope laugh.
...
Late at night, Mike, lying on his small bed in the dormitory, tossed and turned and couldn't sleep.
After coaxing Penelope back to sleep, the celebration finally ended. After Mike sent Penelope to the girls' dormitory, he returned to the dormitory alone to wash up.
Although all this seemed so logical, Mike still felt that something was missing.
Just as Mike was thinking about it, the familiar sound of knocking on the glass rang again.
Shaking his head to throw away all the messy things in his mind, Mike got up, opened the window, and took the letter off the owl.
The whole envelope was as white as snow, with only a raven holding a wand on the letter stamp. Mike recognized this pattern, which was the symbol of the Raven's Nest.
Mike's heartbeat began to speed up when he saw the sign. This was a secret code that Mike had agreed with a few friends because he was afraid that his heir would use the method of sending letters to lure others out again. As
soon as he opened the letter, the envelope and letter paper in Mike's hand began to burn. As the flames jumped, Professor Flitwick's voice appeared in Mike's ears.
"Mike, I have returned to Hogwarts. Please come to my office immediately."
As Flitwick's voice disappeared, the letter also burned up.
Mike did not dare to neglect it. He put on a robe and walked out of the dormitory.
The fire in the lounge had been extinguished. Many drunk boys fell to the ground and no one cared. Looking at Roger's snoring face, Mike shook his head.
Roger thought that everything would be fine if Professor Flitwick was not in school. He didn't expect that Professor Flitwick would come back now instead of earlier or later.
He drove the Disillusionment Charm all the way to the office, and saw Professor Flitwick in the office carefully taking a small box out of the bag of the Traceless Extension Charm.
Seeing Flitwick's nervous look, Mike waited until Flitwick put the box on the table before speaking:
"Professor Flitwick, I'm glad you're back. It's a pity that you still missed my game."
Flitwick was startled when he heard Mike's voice. Fortunately, he had already put the small box on the table, otherwise he would have smashed it.
"Mike! You're finally here." Flitwick said with a smile on his face, "I'm sorry I missed your game, but I have absolute trust in you, and you didn't let me down." Flitwick
laughed as soon as he finished speaking, and it was obvious that he was in a very good mood at this time.
"So what's the reason for calling me here so late?"
"I'm sorry to call you here so late, but I really can't bear to tell you this good news tomorrow. You know, I'm actually an impatient person." Flitwick said with his hands dancing and excitement, "I have sent those fragments to the Raven's Nest for identification, and the result of the identification is that those fragments are indeed fragments of the crown!
And after inspection, these fragments are very complete. After being repaired by the alchemist, the crown may be restored to the world."
Mike's eyes widened when he heard it. He couldn't imagine that the alchemists of this era would have such a high level that they could repair the artifact made by the legendary archmage Ravenclaw in the Middle Ages.
But thinking about it, I feel relieved. The wizard world where Harry Potter is located is somewhat different from the traditional world of Ragnarok and the collapse of aura.
The magic power of this world has always been maintained at an average level from beginning to end, and has never regressed.
This also leads to the continuous progress of the wizard society in this world.
For example, a thousand years ago, practicing magic spells could only rely on talent, but today wizards have developed a complete set of very comprehensive magic spell systems, which has enabled many wizards who originally could not reach the standard of using magic spells to cast spells.
Mike believes that if the wizarding world is given hundreds or thousands of years, those squibs will be able to cast spells, and even ordinary Muggles will be able to master the magical power of magic one day.
It seems that repairing the crown with today's alchemy level a thousand years later is not a big deal.
However, just when Mike was full of expectations for today's alchemy, Flitwick poured cold water on him.
"We have invited Master Edie Edward, who is the best at alchemy in the Ministry of Magic, to repair the crown. In a few months we should be able to see a brand new crown." Flitwick said with anticipation, "But Master Edward said that he can't restore the crown's magical power that can give people wisdom, nor can he restore the crown to its original hardness. But even if it's just a showpiece, it's enough. After all, that's the crown of Ravenclaw!"
