Chapter 47 Year-end Dinner

Chapter 47: End of Year Dinner

Happy times are always so short, and a week of revelry seems to have passed in the blink of an eye.

Not long after Mike returned to the dormitory, the three saviors were rescued one by one. Ron and Hermione were not seriously injured, and soon appeared in front of everyone alive and kicking.

Everyone gathered around the two to ask about what happened last night. Hermione was very thin-skinned, blushing and lowering her head without saying a word. Ron was very excited, and told everyone what they saw and heard under the trapdoor with a red face. Compared with

the two of them, Harry was much more miserable. He lay in the infirmary for three days before waking up. Mike took Franklin to visit him as soon as Harry woke up. During the conversation, Harry apologized to Mike. They didn't take Mike with them on this adventure of the Philosopher's Stone because they couldn't find Mike at the time.

Speaking of Franklin, Mike felt a headache. Franklin became autistic after what happened that day. Mike was still very optimistic about this young man, and Mike had no choice but to comfort him. Franklin recovered only after Mike promised to tutor him during the summer vacation.

Finally, after such a busy week, Mike welcomed his first year-end dinner at Hogwarts.

Because he had to help decorate the hall, Mike followed Professor Flitwick to the hall early.

Under Professor Flitwick's demonstration, the eagles hung banners with Ravenclaw's Eagle of Wisdom on the walls of the hall, and all the tablecloths were changed to blue. Their current house score is the highest, which means that this year's house cup belongs to them.

The hall has become a blue ocean under the efforts of the eagles, and Professor Flitwick's eyes are almost invisible. Slytherin has won the house cup for six consecutive years, and Ravenclaw has been the second for six years. Originally, he thought it would be the same this year, but he didn't expect Mike to show his power and directly push Ravenclaw to the first place. After that, he looked for Mike in the crowd. Such a good child should be rewarded.

Mike didn't smile as much as the others. He knew that this year's House Cup had already been decided for Gryffindor. No matter how many points they were ahead of Gryffindor, Dumbledore would make up for it tonight.

Professor Flitwick saw that Mike looked depressed and thought it was because the holiday was coming soon and Mike would become homeless again. Thinking of this, Professor Flitwick's eyes could not help but have a little more tenderness.

"Mike, why are you staying here alone?" Flitwick patted Mike's arm, "Don't be unhappy, you are our hero today."

I'm afraid you won't be happy soon. Mike thought to himself, and at the same time, he forced a little awkward smile on his face.

Professor Flitwick was more certain of his guess at a glance, and said softly: "Don't worry about the holiday. If you don't mind, you can live in my house. I just happen to have a few old friends to introduce to you." Mike

felt a little strange, but his face remained calm.

"This... is not good. Would it be too much trouble for you?" Mike wanted to refuse. He had promised Franklin to take him to tutoring during the summer vacation.

"You don't have to be polite to me, it's decided!" Professor Flitwick clapped his hands, "Don't rush to leave tomorrow, I'll take you to my house after I finish dealing with the things in the college."

Mike could only agree with a wry smile, and at the same time, he mourned for poor Franklin for three seconds.

Just as Mike and Professor Flitwick were talking happily, students came to the hall one after another, and soon the hall was packed full.

Seeing that the dinner was about to begin, Flitwick greeted the students to return to their respective tables and then returned to his seat.

Mike saw Draco in the crowd. At this time, Draco's face was not very good. The original big back hair became a little messy, and he walked a little lame, as if he had just been beaten.

Not only him, but all the Slytherin students looked unfriendly, as if everyone present owed them a million.

Mike understood their feelings very well. Slytherin's legendary record of winning the college cup for six consecutive years was broken in their hands. They would definitely become the shame of Slytherin.

In sharp contrast to them were Ravenclaw and Gryffindor. One of these two houses was the biggest winner of the school year, while the other was satisfied as long as they saw Slytherin in trouble.

The Slytherin students were furious when they saw the Gryffindor people gloating over the misfortune. Losing to Ravenclaw was fine, after all, it was because they were not good at learning, but Gryffindor was ranked third. What qualifications did you, a defeated opponent, have to be so arrogant?

So the people from the two houses started to curse each other. In terms of eloquence, the little snakes were obviously no match for the little lions, especially the Weasley brothers and Lee Jordan. These three people could scold the entire third grade of Slytherin speechless. Just as

the verbal battle was about to escalate into a fight, Dumbledore finally arrived. As Dumbledore waved his wand, a violent explosion echoed in the hall.

The people in the audience were attracted by the sound. When they saw that it was Dumbledore, they hurried back to their seats and sat down quietly.

Dumbledore nodded in satisfaction as he looked at the audience who had returned to silence, and began his speech.

As expected by Mike, as Dumbledore announced again and again that he would give extra points to the Savior Trio, Gryffindor's score went from third place to tied for first place with Ravenclaw.

This was not the end yet. After Neville added ten points, Gryffindor's score surpassed Ravenclaw and became first.

"It seems that the decoration here needs to be changed tonight."

With the waving of Dumbledore's wand, the blue auditorium that the little eagles had been busy decorating for an afternoon instantly turned into the golden red that represented Gryffindor.

The little lions of Gryffindor exploded. They cheered and came to the Savior Trio, lifted them up high and put them down, shouting the names of the three people.

The little eagles all shut themselves up.

Abbott, the male student president sitting next to Mike, clenched his fists, and didn't even notice that his nails had pierced his palm. Drops of blood kept dripping onto the table, and disappeared after being absorbed by the golden red tablecloth.

The eaglets had a very uncomfortable meal. The delicious food that used to taste delicious became like white wax in their mouths.

Professor Flitwick on the stage also looked unhappy and left the banquet soon after it started.

Mike couldn't eat anymore. He was surrounded by unhappy little wizards who had no appetite. It was obviously inappropriate for him to eat alone at this time. Seeing Professor Flitwick walk out of the hall, Mike also stood up and left.

Mike's departure was like a signal. The Ravenclaw eaglets also stood up one by one and followed Mike out of the hall. The

Slytherin snakes were happy when they saw this, and they also left the hall one after another under the leadership of the prefects.

The originally bustling auditorium was now filled with only the little lion who was still partying and the little badger who was busy eating. Dumbledore's smile on the stage was slowly becoming stiff.
