Chapter 54 Like a dream, but not a dream
The practice of Occlumency is very simple. You just need to empty your mind. However, emptying your mind here does not mean thinking about nothing, but completely emptying your mind, abandoning all emotions, and entering an extremely rational state.
The simple training method does not mean that it is easy to learn. In fact, Occlumency is a spell that requires a lot of talent. People without talent will not improve even if they practice for ten years.
When beginners are just starting to practice, they often confuse emptying their minds with being in a daze. Such practice is useless and will only make people become idiots.
In theory, as long as you can successfully empty your mind completely, it means that Occlumency has been released successfully. But in reality, beginners can only enter this state by meditating for a while in a quiet and comfortable state, and they cannot move.
This level of Occlumency is undoubtedly not a defense against Legilimency. Only by being able to enter the closed state instantly in any environment can you resist Legilimency.
Some masters of Occlumency can even live their daily lives in the closed state. Snape is one of the best.
Snape keeps his closed state all year round, even when teaching students. This can be seen from his cold eyes without any warmth or emotion.
Mike has always been a person who does what he thinks. After deciding to practice brain occlumency, he immediately began to try to empty his mind. However, he obviously made the mistake that beginners often make, confusing emptying the mind with being in a daze. So
in the air mixed with the fragrance of flowers in Godric's Hollow, Mike gradually fell asleep on the sofa.
His consciousness slowly sank, and when Mike opened his eyes again, he found that he was in the blue sea of light again.
Alarm bells rang in his mind. Last night's dream could still be explained by thinking about it during the day and dreaming at night, but now he had the same dream again, which could not be explained.
Subconsciously summoning his wand, he found that the wand sheath that originally contained the wand hidden on his forearm was gone. Mike fumbled around for a while and found that not only the wand sheath, but also the dagger hidden on his waist and the greed pendant on his chest were all gone. Now he was only wearing an extremely ordinary plain wizard robe.
Mike took two deep breaths to calm himself down, and began to observe his surroundings.
It would have been fine if he hadn't looked, but he was shocked when he looked.
Not far from him, the familiar dead tree stood quietly. But unlike the last time, this time there was only a small raven on its branch.
The raven saw that Mike had found him, cried out and flew towards Mike. Seeing this, Mike turned around and ran without thinking. He didn't want to experience the feeling of losing control of magic and piercing his heart again.
However, two legs naturally couldn't outrun wings. Mike didn't run far before he felt his left shoulder sink. He turned his head and found that the raven had landed on his shoulder, and was now looking at Mike curiously with its dark brown pupils.
Not feeling the raven's malice, Mike stretched out his right hand to grab it. But as soon as his hand approached, it was pecked hard by the raven. Feeling the pain, Mike quickly withdrew his hand, checked the injury on his hand, but found that his hand was actually unharmed.
"Gah! Gah!"
Mike heard the unpleasant cry of the raven. He looked towards the source of the sound and found that as the cry sounded, the surrounding scenery slowly began to change.
The light blue light around him began to dim rapidly, and dark blue bricks emerged one by one. In just a moment, a room that Mike was very familiar with was formed.
"Is this... the Ravenclaw lounge?" Mike was a little bit unbelievable.
It should be night now, and it was dark all around. Mike searched carefully with the faint moonlight.
The statue of Ms. Ravenclaw was still standing in the lounge, and the bookshelf was full of various books. The full-length mirror that the seniors put in the lounge because of their conceit was still there. This was indeed the Ravenclaw lounge.
Mike walked to the full-length mirror and looked into it, but was surprised to find that the mirror was empty, and there was no figure of himself at all.
The sound of wind came from his ears, and the raven standing on Mike's left shoulder slapped Mike hard with its wings.
This is intolerable!
Angry Mike decided to teach this ragtag bird a lesson today. Turning his head, he found that the raven was pointing its wings in the direction of the dormitory, clearly wanting Mike to look in that direction.
Looking in the direction the raven pointed, he saw a girl sneaking out of the dormitory like a thief.
Her face was covered by a layer of gray mist, and she couldn't see her face clearly at all. Mike could only tell from her exquisite body curves that she was a girl.
The girl was wearing a Hogwarts school robe and a blue tie around her neck. Judging from her attire, she should be a student of Ravenclaw. But her hand holding the wand was emitting a faint blue light. Looking closely, there was a claw mark on the back of the girl's right hand, which was the source of the blue light.
She seemed to be unable to see Mike. After looking around for a while, she walked to the statue of Ms. Ravenclaw as if no one was around.
Mike became curious and hurried to check.
The girl was facing the statue of Ms. Ravenclaw, with her hands raised to her chest and clasped together in a prayer gesture, while she was muttering something.
"You are the breeze from the quiet lakeside, you are a prophet who explores the truth, you are the most beautiful human being in the world, and your foolish student is asking you to open the door to wisdom."
As the girl's voice became more and more fanatical, the claw marks on the back of her hand began to emit a dazzling blue light, and a blue light door on the statue of Ms. Ravenclaw was slowly opening.
The girl shouted excitedly when she saw the light door, and then she quickly covered her mouth as if she was afraid of waking up her classmates.
Mike, who was standing by, was already stunned as he watched the girl walk into the light door happily.
Although he didn't like to read those miscellaneous books that couldn't help him improve his strength, he had read the famous "Hogwarts, a History of the School".
It clearly recorded that Ms. Ravenclaw came from the quiet lakeside, and combined with the situation just now, the "you" in the girl's mouth obviously referred to Ms. Ravenclaw.
"So the Ravenclaw ladies are so vain?" Mike muttered to himself.
But he felt relieved when he remembered the spell that Riddle used to summon the basilisk in the original book. Are Slytherins only allowed to be naive, but Ravenclaws are not allowed to be beautiful?
And the raven on Mike's shoulder showed a very human look of helplessness after hearing Mike's mumbling.
