"I'm full." Peng Ertiao lifted up his clothes, patted his loud belly, and made a decisive move.
Wang Xiaomei, who was preparing lessons in the courtyard, almost burst out laughing. She, the elder sister-in-law, felt like she had met her match when it came to these kids.
Ahhhhhhh, why do I feel so inexplicably aggrieved! Her eldest sister only needs to bring dried seafood, why bother with all these expensive things? Cheng Zhenyu stamped her feet, threw the things aside, and went into the kitchen to talk to her eldest sister.
"Big sister is here?" Cheng Zhenzhu saw that her big sister looked rather unconvinced, and then she remembered what Zhao Fangrui and Xiao Huzi had just said, and she understood. "Help me taste this loach."
Cheng Zhenyu looked at the two bowls of beautifully colored and fragrant loaches, and her anger instantly subsided. She washed her hands and picked up a loach with her chopsticks to taste.
"Is this loach? Can loach be so delicious?" Cheng Zhenyu was so surprised when she tasted it that her eyes widened and she swallowed all the loach bones in a few gulps.
"It's loach, but it uses a little more oil. There are two more dishes, and they will be ready soon. Big sister, please bring the bowl over." Cheng Zhenzhu continued to fry the next dish.
"Oh, okay." Cheng Zhenyu nodded and impatiently picked up the bowl of loach and went to the living room, completely forgetting why she was looking for Cheng Zhenzhu...
The remaining two dishes were served, and everyone at the table went straight to the loach bowls with their chopsticks. By the time they finished eating, only a few loaches remained in the two bowls. Even these few loaches were not spared by the children, who each grabbed one and left the table.
To enhance the flavor, Cheng Zhenzhu added two extra chilies to the loach. One or several of the fish, who loved spicy food, were particularly satisfied. Three of the fish, even with tears and snot streaming from the spiciness, continued to nibble on the bones with relish.
The six fish ate so much that they were reluctant to spit out even the bones of the loach, and then the two fish, instructed by Cheng Zhenzhu, dug them out...
"Sister, are you going to make this loach again tonight?" Cheng Zhenyu licked her lips, still feeling unsatisfied.
"There's a bowl of fried food left. Just add some ingredients and stir-fry it tonight."
Cheng Zhenyu waved her hand. "One bowl is not enough. When Dad and Zhenbao come back tonight, I'll bring your brother-in-law and niece over. Three bowls won't be enough. So, I'll buy some more later."
"You can buy them everywhere, a basket for just a few cents, it's not difficult. But once you buy them, you have to be responsible for the dissection!" Zhao Fangrui made arrangements in advance.
"Then I'll call Zhao Jiawang and some girls to come over for the cesarean section."
Cheng Zhenyu didn't care; she was determined to eat loaches today! After saying that, she took some money and went out to buy loaches.
Zhao Fangrui sighed helplessly as she watched her daughter dash off. But the loach we had for lunch today was truly fragrant, without even a hint of earthy flavor. The meat was sweet and flavorful, incredibly delicious...
But buying three baskets at once is too much! Zhao Fangrui frowned as she looked at the large tub of loaches spitting out mud in the yard.
"Mom, when I went there, an old man was asking about it quietly, so I bought all the loaches he had..." Cheng Zhenyu bent down to deal with two of them, and found them difficult to deal with, so she urged the children to hurry up and eat watermelon after they were done.
For the little kids who had already eaten watermelon today, this reward was not very tempting. But they wanted to eat loach, so they worked hard to get it.
Lian Liu Tiao reached out and tried to join in. Cheng Zhenzhu dismissed him with a candy and sent him to the sidelines. This guy is a drag on the team, so he shouldn't be allowed to play for now...
Handle the three loaches carefully, slowly removing the internal organs of each loach one by one, and then wash them with water after removing them.
Liu Tiao licked the candy, looked at his older brothers, then looked at his three older brothers, and said with some disdain, "Sa Guo Guo, wait."
"The cleanest." San Tiao replied to his six younger brothers, and showed off the clean headless loach in his hand.
The six little guys pouted twice and urged their other brothers to go wash the loaches...
We didn't cook any other dishes in the evening, just three bowls of loach, a big bowl of steamed egg, a pot of kelp soup, and a vegetable leaf. The whole family enjoyed the meal with great relish.
Cheng Zhenbao was the most excited, excitedly saying he had no idea loach could be so delicious and that he would get some more to cook tomorrow. Wang Xiaomei was so upset that she didn't know what to say to her greedy husband.
"Isn't there a big bucket in the yard? I bought a few baskets, enough for you! But if you want to eat it tomorrow, you can cut it yourself. Do you know how much effort we put into making this today..." Cheng Zhenyu greeted immediately.
I don't know why, but the words "enough" kept ringing in her ears today. She was also thinking about "enough" when she bought loaches...
"Big sister, you've only done a few cesareans, so stop criticizing me." Cheng Zhenbao put down his chopsticks and decided that if they were going to work, they should work together. "How about this, let's do it together tomorrow. It's a day off anyway, so it's okay."
"You're fine, but I am!" Cheng Zhenyu immediately refused. This slippery thing was delicious, but it was a bit difficult to handle. She had already paid for it, so she couldn't be asked to work anymore...
So the next day, Cheng Zhenbao got up early and started cutting loaches. The little tigers were tired from cutting loaches all day and were playing in the house. Cheng Zhenbao refused to call them, and finally Cheng Fugui, who was at home, took pity on them and helped to cut a few loaches.
At Cheng Zhenyu's suggestion, several women gathered at a table and drew cards.
After finishing their homework, Da Ni and Er Ni went to help dig up the loaches. San Ni didn't want to go, so she followed San Tiao who was reading a picture book in the yard, glancing at him from time to time.
Since San Tiao couldn't understand the words, he looked at the pictures instead. After finishing a page, he saw his brother Xiaohu proudly walking up to him with a tiger-shaped backpack on his back and pulling out a picture book from the backpack.
