Chapter 228 Does Mother not want us anymore?

Eyes, glasses, cobra. These were the only things she could think of regarding eyes...

"Sister-in-law Cheng." At about five o'clock, Qian Dawei knocked on the door outside.

Cheng Zhenzhu opened the door and saw Comrade Dawei with a sad face. She closed the door and motioned Comrade Dawei to go to his room.

"Sister-in-law Cheng, Jiamu, and the others, have died..." Back in his room, Qian Dawei could no longer contain his emotions. He was already choking with sobs as he finished these words. He still couldn't believe that his good brother and sister-in-law were gone.

I heard the body was already swollen and rotten when it was recovered. He asked, hoping for a 1% chance, how could they confirm the identity if they couldn't see what it looked like? Then they said the man had a military insignia on him. That was something Jiamu rarely left with him...

"Comrade Dawei, you might find what I'm about to tell you incredible. I had a dream..." Cheng Zhenzhu explained the matter as simply as possible. Since Comrade Jiamu wanted to tell Comrade Dawei, she was happy to help.

But whether Comrade Dawei believed it or not was not something she could control...

After hearing this, Qian Dawei widened his eyes and stood there like a wooden man, his throat no longer able to make any sound.

"Comrade Lu said you're trustworthy, so he asked me to tell you this. But we can't let more people know about this..." Cheng Zhenzhu took out a piece of paper with her speculation about the "eye" written on it. "I think it's better to leave this to you. We'll just say the children are on a mission. I'll take them to Sanshi Island to live for a while..."

It took Qian Dawei a long time to digest half of it. He admired Cheng's calmness and was willing to believe that Jiamu and the others were alive. In that situation, no one else would have thought about alerting the troops except Jiamu.

But the thought of Jiamu arriving in 2023 was too much for him to process immediately. In 2023, who knows, he might even be a pile of ashes? Qian Dawei felt a mixture of strange emotions. When he finally realized what was happening, he realized he had already been immersed in the situation...

"Sister-in-law Cheng, I believe what you said." Qian Dawei took the paper and put it away carefully. "Then let's compare our statements."

It's really hard to explain to the child. I have to come up with an explanation that the child can accept...

After a while, it was time for dinner. Cheng Zhenzhu went back to her room to help San Tiao get dressed and then took them downstairs to eat.

Dinner consisted of hot dishes and steamed buns. The dishes included minced meat with potatoes, sauerkraut vermicelli with some meat slices, and a side of Chinese cabbage and black sausage. It was quite a feast.

The children weren't used to the blood sausage, but loved the sauerkraut bowl. Each grabbed a steamed bun and slurped down a few vermicelli noodles, feeling particularly comfortable. San Tiao, having just woken up, was still a little dazed and ate slowly, like a lazy little sloth.

"Delicious, delicious~" Er Tiao ate with a smile on his face.

"I think it's delicious too." It just tasted bad. He took a big bite of the steamed bun and stuffed a piece of potato into his mouth with his chopsticks.

Liu Tiao happily ate the steamed buns, and after finishing one, he reached out for another.

"Just finished it?" Cheng Zhenzhu was surprised to see the empty hands of Liu Tiao. She had only eaten half of it. Comrade Dawei had only finished one!

"I'm done eating." Liu Tiao clapped his empty hands. He was hungry.

Next to him, his twin brother Lu Jianxian was stunned as he held a steamed bun that was much bigger than his hand. This little brother really knows how to eat! His younger brother is greedy, but he can't eat like this...

"I can still eat half of it." Liu Tiao gestured twice and smiled foolishly at his mother.

"Eat, eat. We have to take the train again tomorrow, and we won't be able to eat such delicious food then." Cheng Zhenzhu broke half of a steamed bun for Liu Tiao, and picked up two pieces of food with chopsticks for San Tiao and the twins with short hands.

"Take the train to grandma's house?" This is the first reaction.

"Do you want to go to grandma's house?" Cheng Zhenzhu asked.

"Yeah. I want to go! It's fun at grandma's place, there are little sisters there, and I can get a lot of red envelopes." Both eyes began to shine.

"Loach. Delicious~" Six comments added.

Niqiao. His three eyes lit up for a moment, and he took a big bite of the steamed bun meat with an "Awoo".

Cheng Zhenzhu couldn't help but laugh. But she wasn't going to the sea market this year. She was afraid the extra two tails would scare her parents again...

Grandma... Mom seemed to have told them. Brother Tiao Tiao and the others were going to their grandma's place, so why hadn't Dad and Mom come to pick them up yet? Lu Jianxian's mood suddenly darkened. Seeing this, Lu Siqi stopped eating his steamed bun and meat, feeling miserable along with his brother.

Cheng Zhenzhu noticed and touched the two children's heads, "Do you miss your father and mother?"

Lu Siqi nodded her little head, a little crying in her milky voice, "I want to~"

Hearing his brother's sobbing, Lu Jianxian couldn't hold back any longer. When he raised his head, his whole face was covered with tears. "Mom...are you going to tie it or not...don't you want me and my brother anymore?"

"Of course not. Your father and mother miss you very much." Cheng Zhenzhu felt complicated after hearing this, and she didn't know what to feel.

No. Lu Siqi covered his eyes and twisted his body, feeling a little angry. Mother had clearly said she would come pick them up soon, but she didn't come, and she still hasn't come now. "Hmph~"

"Wa wa~" No matter how strong Lu Jianxian was, he was just a child who was not even two years old. At this moment, he broke down emotionally and cried very loudly.

It's perfectly normal for children to cry. With so many children, it would be strange if they didn't cry. The diners glanced at the children and looked away with sympathy.
