Chapter 82 Bundled Marketing

Unexpectedly, Ying Zheng first asked a question that had nothing to do with the moon goddess:

"Does the Jade Rabbit know where the Fire Cloud Cave is?"

This question lingered in his mind. Before leaving, the Yellow Emperor said he would wait for him at the Fire Cloud Cave. This place must have a profound meaning.

The others also pricked up their ears, waiting for the Jade Rabbit to answer.

"Hahahahahahaha," to everyone's surprise, the Jade Rabbit laughed so hard that it forgot to eat the meat in its mouth. It nimbly covered its belly with its paws and rolled around laughing like a human.

"You're still thinking about the Fire Cloud Cave? His Majesty the Yellow Emperor was probably just saying it casually to encourage you. Even if you really become the Human Emperor, you'll never get to the Fire Cloud Cave."

Jade Rabbit forced a smile and said, but his words displeased those who heard them, as if he were looking down on the king.

The Qin state produced a legendary monarch who reigned for six generations; how could he be underestimated!

Even Ying Zheng's eyes flashed with displeasure at the carefree laughter of his celestial pet, the Jade Rabbit.

Many ministers stood up for the king, but Meng Tian was the bravest. He stood up abruptly, suppressing his anger, and said to the Jade Rabbit:

"His Majesty the Yellow Emperor himself told Your Majesty about the Fire Cloud Cave. The Jade Rabbit is the Moon Goddess's beloved pet and not a close confidant of the Yellow Emperor. By what right do you presume to speculate on the Yellow Emperor's thoughts and ridicule Your Majesty?"

"Oh no, General Meng acted too impulsively," everyone thought in unison.

General Meng Tian was excellent in every way—calm, composed, and a brilliant military commander. His only flaw, or perhaps not a flaw at all, was his excessive loyalty; he truly placed the King of Qin above all else.

Li Si anxiously went to see the Moon Goddess, fearing that she might harm the Qin state in her anger.

Fortunately, the Moon Goddess was still drinking the Emperor's Elixir and paid no attention to the argument here.

Seeing this, the Jade Rabbit stopped laughing and explained seriously:

"Although I don't know what the Yellow Emperor was thinking, the Fire Cloud Cave is too famous; it's almost impossible for the King of Qin to enter it."

He then turned to Ying Zheng and asked, "Do you know the status of the Three Sovereigns of antiquity in the universe?"

Ying Zheng thought for a moment and said cautiously:

"He should be second only to the Heavenly Emperor," he said, which was an exaggeration. After all, the Three Sovereigns were only human, while the Heavenly Emperor ruled the Three Realms and should be supreme.

I was overjoyed; I had finally steered the conversation to this point. Now it was time for the elite system to shine.

The jade rabbit shook its head, its soft rabbit ears twitching gently.

"Wrong, wrong, wrong, hehe, the Heavenly Emperor has no jurisdiction over the Three Sovereigns. Haotian nominally rules the Three Realms, but there are quite a few people he can't control."

This statement was like hot oil being poured into a pan, instantly eliciting gasps of surprise.

The Heavenly Emperor is supreme in everyone's mind, a deeply ingrained idea. But now the Jade Rabbit says that you mortals are wrong.

How could this not be surprising?

Ying Zheng gripped the wine cup tightly:

"Therefore, the place where the Three Sovereigns reside is the Fiery Cloud Cave. Because of their extremely high status, entering must be extremely difficult, which is why the Jade Rabbit thought I had no hope."

The system was surprised that Ying Zheng had actually said what it wanted to say. It paused for a moment, secretly flipping through the script. Hmm, next it should enrich the background of the Moon Goddess.

"That's right. To this day, only the Three Sovereigns have resided in the Fire Cloud Cave. Although it's called a cave, it's actually a small world, a place where the human race's fortune is condensed. Those without the achievements of the Three Sovereigns are not allowed to enter."

Even the Five Emperors didn't have that.

"No"

Sigh, everyone sighed. Even the Five Ancient Emperors hadn't entered the Fire Cloud Cave, let alone their king…

Ying Zheng was not discouraged. He personally used a bronze knife to cut a few slices of meat from the roasted lamb on the table and put them into the Jade Rabbit's small bowl.

"Jade Rabbit, you've worked hard. I have another question: what is the relationship between Her Highness the Moon Goddess and the new Heavenly Court?"

Alright, now we've reached the key point. Every Qin official with a brain knows the importance of this issue.

The fact that the Moon Goddess was revealed by Xiang Liu to be a princess of the old Heavenly Court, yet still living well in the new Heavenly Court, suggests there must be some unknown reasons behind it.

Now that the Moon Goddess has made a pact with the King of Qin, she is seen as part of the same group as the other gods. Therefore, how well the Moon Goddess fares is is very important to the Qin state.

Ling Xiao mentally encouraged the system, hoping it would add more scenes for the character of the Moon Goddess.

The jade rabbit, with its three-lobed mouth holding a piece of meat, was grinning in a rather... lewd way.

"Don't worry, Haotian has no jurisdiction over Chang Xi."

Does this mean... the Moon Goddess is also a figure like the Three Sovereigns? A huge wave of shock surged through everyone's hearts; this answer was something they hadn't expected.

They all know how great the Three Sovereigns were, so it's surprising that the seemingly unassuming Moon Goddess also holds such a position.

By what right does He do this?

The system once again expressed its admiration for the host's brilliant strategy, first elevating the prestige of the Three Sovereigns to an infinitely higher level, because they were well-known to the human race, and the Qin people accepted the high status of the Three Sovereigns very well.

This is then used to elevate the moon goddess.

You see, the Three Sovereigns are so powerful that they can disobey the Heavenly Emperor, and the Moon Goddess also disobeys the Jade Emperor. Doesn't that mean the Moon Goddess is just as powerful as the Three Sovereigns?

Then the equation is true.

Ying Zheng suppressed the shock in his eyes and quickly asked the Jade Rabbit tentatively, "Wasn't the Moon Goddess affected by the collapse of the old Heavenly Court?"

In the mortal world, dynasties change, and it's considered good if members of the old royal family can survive. Maintaining their former status is as difficult as ascending to heaven.

In the old Heavenly Court, the Moon Goddess only had the nominal title of princess, but in the new Heavenly Court, her status actually rose instead of falling...

To everyone's eyes, the Jade Rabbit did not answer immediately, but instead looked towards where the Moon Goddess was sitting alone, and saw that her eyes were already glazed over.

Only then did she become bolder, sticking out her pregnant belly as she said:

"Changxi, who is in charge of the moon and stars, acted decisively after the Heavenly God Xihe and the Eastern Emperor Taiyi died together. He connected the two stars, Taiyin and Taiyang, and linked the earth's energy, thus achieving the position of a great supernatural being. Naturally, the new Heavenly Court dared not touch him."

Ah, everyone understood. The Moon Goddess was too powerful, and with the Taiyin and Taiyang stars in her grasp, the new Heavenly Court was hesitant to act rashly.
