Chapter 133 The Grace of Saving Lives 2

“Jianjun, we must thank Cheng Cai and his brother properly. We can’t forget their kindness. We’ll personally visit them to express our gratitude once Zhuzi wakes up.”

“Mother,” Zhu Zi’s weak voice rang out. When Tingting saw that her son had woken up, she burst into tears.

"Mom, I'm here, Zhuzi. When you wake up, Mom will make you your favorite food, okay?" Tingting wiped away her tears and said to Zhuzi.

"Honey, it seems the child is alright. Let him rest a bit. First, prepare some food for the other kids at home. These two have been running around with me the whole time, they must be exhausted," Jianjun said.

The child woke up, and the two of them regained their senses.

“We can’t let Li Dachun and his son get away with this once Zhuzi recovers. Zhuzi almost died. Chengcai is a kind and good boy,” Tingting said angrily.

"Honey, I'll go wipe the baby down and change his clothes. He's been in the water all day, he might catch a cold. He'll be fine once he recovers."

"Yes, yes," Tingting nodded quickly.

Li Dachun's two children ran home in a daze. They didn't dare tell their parents, fearing a beating, so they quickly ran back into the house.

Li Dachun looked at the two flustered children and wondered if they had gotten into trouble again, but he didn't pay much attention to it.

After all, although the two children were usually naughty, nothing too serious ever happened, so no one asked.

The two of them had no idea what a mess their two sons had made.

That night, Youcai and Chengcai fell asleep on the kang (a heated brick bed). Youcai, who was awakened in the middle of the night by the urge to pee, was about to get out of bed when he heard his brother talking in his sleep.

I was a little worried, so I quickly went to push my brother. It was too dark at night. I wanted to go to the toilet and wanted my brother to come with me, and I was also worried about him.

"Brother, wake up, wake up!" No matter how much Chengcai called out, it was no use. He panicked and didn't know what was wrong with his brother. He kept pushing Chengcai around in a panic.

Seeing that his brother didn't answer him, he overcame his fear of the dark, quickly put on his shoes, and ran to Jianjun's house.

This child is also very clever. He knows that since his older brother saved Zhu Zi during the day, they will definitely save their own brother. Even if others help, they won't be as dedicated.

Youcai kept knocking on the door and shouting, "Uncle, Aunt, are you asleep? My brother seems to be sick and is talking nonsense."

Jianjun and Tingting hadn't slept all night, taking care of Zhuzi. Hearing the noise outside the door, they quickly asked Jianjun to open it.

"Honey, go open the door. It looks like there's a kid named Youcai," Tingting said, nudging Jianjun.

"Okay, I'll go now." Jianjun put on his shoes and quickly opened the door, where he saw Youcai standing.

"What's wrong, Youcai? It's so late, what happened? I haven't had a chance to properly thank you all today," Jianjun asked with concern.

"Uncle, my brother seems to be talking nonsense. I can't wake him up no matter what I do. I'm coming to find you and Auntie right now," Youcai said, crying.

"Tingting, Chengcai seems to have a fever. I'll go check on him." Jianjun told Tingting as he returned and prepared to go see him.

“Jianjun, take this medicine with you and bring it to Chengcai. I’m worried about leaving the child at home alone. If he comes to our house, we can both take care of him.”

"Okay, honey, I'll be right there." Jianjun said, and he and Youcai quickly ran off with the medicine.

When they arrived, Jianjun touched Chengcai's head and felt it was very hot. He quickly gave him some medicine, covered the child with a blanket, and carried him back to his home.

When Tingting saw his flushed face, she felt sorry for him. She knew that he must have gotten a fever because he was trying to save her son. She was very moved and decided to repay him and change the fate of the two brothers.

"Mother, Mother, I miss you so much," Cheng Cai said in his sleep.

Tingting, upon hearing the child's voice, also shed tears, heartbroken for this strong, kind, and grateful child.
