Chapter 822: The long-lost parents

When Tingting and Jianjun had nothing to do, they would look at the Guo family's family photo. They never imagined that they would be approaching the age of death in the blink of an eye since they came from the past.

Qin Yecai and Liu Tianming also passed away this year, and many of the people we knew are gradually leaving us.

"Jianjun, I've left a lot of food and travel supplies in our space."

"There are also quite a few small goldfish and jewelry."

"I don't know if we'll have an afterlife. Even if we don't, we've already given this space to those who are destined to have it."

"How wonderful it would be if we could meet again in our next life. I'm not afraid of leaving, I'm only afraid of never seeing you again."

"Wife, don't worry, even if we're gone, I believe in our destiny; we'll be husband and wife again in the next life."

Tingting knew Jianjun was trying to comfort her, but she was content with her life, having her own children who were all doing well.

I've fulfilled my dream of traveling the world, so I should be content.

"Auntie, Uncle, are you there?" Cheng Cai knocked on the door from the outside.

"Chengcai, Youcai, what brings you two here?" Jianjun asked.

"We've come to see you both. We're not young anymore, and we have some things we'd like to say to you, Aunt and Uncle."

“Come, sit down quickly, child. What’s wrong? Tell us and we’ll see if we can help you,” Tingting said.

Tingting's words, "child," brought tears to the eyes of Youcai and Chengcai, whose hair was now gray.

“Auntie, Uncle, from childhood to adulthood, you have always treated us like your own children, and you have never thought about how we should repay you.”

“You children, since we’ve come to regard you as our own, how could we possibly expect you to repay us? We’re at ease as long as you’re doing well.”

"As parents, we have no other thoughts than that you, our children, are happy and can live a happy life. That's enough for us."

"Auntie, Uncle, because of the development of the family back then, we two were unable to call you Mom and Dad."

"Now that we're this old, I want to say what I've wanted to say all these years."

"Can we call you Mom and Dad?" Cheng Cai asked.

"Yes, of course we can. We've always treated you two like our own children, and that has never changed."

“You are our sons, always have been,” Tingting said.

“Mom and Dad,” Cheng Cai called out.

"Mom and Dad."

“Yes, yes,” Tingting and Jianjun replied.

Chengcai and Youcai know that if they don't call out "Mom and Dad" now, they don't know if they'll ever have the chance to do so again.

They are all quite old, with gray hair. Apart from Jianjun and Tingting, who else can treat them like children? Never again.

"Don't take things too seriously, just live your life well," Tingting said to Youcai.

“You are the leader of our family, Chengcai. I could see your potential from a young age, and it will be limitless in the future.”

"After we're gone, you and Weidong, as the most visionary members of our family, must lead the Guo family forward well."

"Don't worry, Mom and Dad, I will. The grandchildren in the family are all doing well and have achieved something."

"Don't worry, you and Dad, we'll be more low-key in the future."

Tingting nodded, relieved. She had always believed that Chengcai could do it.

"Alright, how old are you? You're old enough to be grandfathers. You two are still crying. Aren't we fine?"

"Don't cry, life is full of partings, we have to get used to it."

Cheng Cai and You Cai nodded through their tears.
