Chapter 99 The whole town is looking for someone

There's been a lot of fishing going on in the city right now. People have been selling large quantities of goods for so many days and we still haven't caught them. This is a very serious matter, and we've brought in a lot more people to help.

Now all the leaders are sitting together in a meeting to see why there's so much refined grain, and in such large quantities.

In the past few years, they have been selling things every six months or months, going door to door. Both men and women are involved, and they are all trying to figure out where the things come from and how there are so many of them, given the current shortage of supplies.

Because of two major incidents this year that have occurred and the person still hasn't been found, the city is now conducting very strict checks.

Fortunately, many families had bought things for Jianjun and Tingting, so everyone had a decent New Year.

Wang Hongjun also learned about what happened later during this period. He didn't expect that after exchanging things with him, they would go and exchange things again. This was definitely not for money; there must be some other reason.

Now, the refined grains are all kept by our own families. The most we give to the factory is meat, and the rest is given to our close relatives and friends, so there is no danger.

It seems that it was all sold by this young man. He's incredibly capable. With things getting this big, he can't come out anymore. The family needs to be careful with their food.

Following his advice, the grain was not stored in one place but hidden separately, since he had bought too much refined grain and it would be disastrous if it were discovered.

This is pretty much what he expected. Now they're starting to search house to house to see if there are any large quantities of grain.

After all, selling so many items in such a short time couldn't have just appeared out of thin air; there must be a place to store them.

However, what they didn't know was that these things really appeared out of thin air, possessed some kind of cheat code, and couldn't be treated in the usual way.

They searched house to house, but to no avail. Frustrated, they made the city even stricter.

At the meeting, Li Chao said helplessly, "They can't just appear out of thin air. Maybe we're too late and they've all left."

"This is a very serious matter. The quantity is large, and it's too arrogant to sell large quantities every time."

"We'll find them sooner or later. Keep a close eye on them and don't let your guard down. The reason we've never caught them before is because they sell once and then leave for six months, which allows us to relax our guard. This is no small matter."

"We've heard about the impact now, so everyone needs to be on high alert. We need to be relaxed on the outside but tight on the inside. We can fish for a year or two, but I don't believe we can't find the person after all this time."

Their plans and schemes are all fine; the key issue is that Tingting and Jianjun don't follow the rules and are already preparing for retirement.

Tingting and Jianjun, on the other hand, don't have so many thoughts. They are currently focused on taking care of and teaching their child.

Today I took out this white flour to steam buns every day. One stove in this house wasn't enough, so I made two more. There are four rooms in total, with three stoves. I've started a full-scale cooking blitz.

The house is always foggy and full of steam. The children all run to the room without a stove, because it's really hot with the kang (a heated brick bed) always burning. The firewood runs out very quickly; their daily supply is enough for other people for more than half a month.

"Mother," Xiao Zhuzi said, "I haven't seen anyone in this house for days." He was clinging to Tingting's leg.

"Go and write your words, eldest son, there's too much steam."

"Mom, let me light the fire for you. I'll help you with some chores. You're always so tired."

Seeing how filial and sensible her son was, Tingting took a bite and felt full of energy.
