Chapter 81 A Patient to Take Care of

The next day when Shen Anan came to check on the ward, there was an unfamiliar woman in the ward. She looked so concerned about the woman in labor that she could be her biological mother.

Although the mother is a little weak at this moment, she looks in good spirits.

Shen Anan came in with a sterilized plate for changing the dressing, picked up her medical record with one hand and looked at it, then asked her:

"Is this Ms. Huang Huanhuan? How are you feeling now? Does the wound hurt?"

Shen Ananzhao asked about the patient's condition.

"Doctor Shen, are you here? My wife said the wound hurts a little, can you take a look at her?" The young man yesterday saw Shen Anan and was the first to answer.

It was only later that he heard from the delivery room nurse that his wife had been in critical condition the day before and had almost bled to death, and it was this Doctor Shen who helped stop the bleeding.

"Thank you, Dr. Shen, thank you for saving my life yesterday." Huang Huanhuan also thanked Shen Anan.

She also knew that it was this Doctor Shen who used the silver needle to help her stop the bleeding, otherwise she might not wake up today.

"I'm a doctor, this is what I should do. The person you should thank most is Director Lu. She worked hard for two hours and didn't give up on you." Shen Anan quickly replied.

"You must be Doctor Shen. I'm Huanhuan's mother. My last name is Yang. Thank you for helping me save my daughter."

The new woman came over when she heard that, with a grateful smile on her face. As she spoke, she took out an envelope from her pocket and tried to give it to her, putting it in her pocket.

Seeing this, Shen Anan waved her hands repeatedly to refuse, and then turned to the other side with the replacement items in her hand:

"Auntie, please don't be like this. I'm a doctor, and this is what I should do. I still need to change the medicine for your daughter, so please don't disturb me."

"Okay, then my dear aunt, please remember this." Seeing this, Huang's mother had no choice but to take the envelope back.

Shen Anan then looked at Huang Huanhuan: "I am more familiar with your situation, so our Director Lu specially asked me to help you with postpartum care. Let me take a look at your wound."

She drove out the irrelevant people and then carefully checked her wounds.

I was relieved to confirm that the wound was not infected and had no exudate, and that it was recovering well.

She suspected that her special ability had taken effect last night, otherwise this person's condition would definitely not be so good.

After disinfecting her again and wrapping her in gauze, Shen Anan instructed:

"Your wound is fine at the moment. You're young and will recover faster. Don't worry. You can eat some millet porridge now..."

Shen Anan picked up the medical record book and explained to the pregnant woman while recording.

"Thank you, Dr. Shen. I'll remember that." Huang Huanhuan replied with a smile.

Her husband Zhu Xudong and her mother also stood beside her and took notes.

As for the grandmother-in-law Liu Yunhui, she stayed by her little grandson's side with a loving look on her face.

After Shen Anan finished the examination, she continued to check on the woman in labor in another bed.

Their obstetrics and gynecology ward is basically filled with pregnant women and women who have given birth.

The woman has been in the hospital for a day and should be discharged today.

After the examination in this ward was completed, Shen Anan left the ward and went next door.

Before entering the door, I heard the conversation inside:

"Mom, I've been hungry for almost a day. Did you bring me anything to eat?"

The woman who spoke had a very weak and feeble voice.

As soon as she looked inside, she found that this person was also the pregnant woman who gave birth yesterday, but this time it was a girl.

"What are you eating? You've already given birth to several girls, and you still have the nerve to ask for food? Get out of the hospital quickly. Our family's money didn't come from the wind, so why are we still staying in the hospital?"

The other sarcastic woman spoke very loudly, forcefully suppressing the other woman's voice.

The harsh sound made Shen Anan frown.

This woman gave birth yesterday and is here now. We need to observe her for a day to see how she goes.

I don’t know if it’s her mother-in-law or her mother who’s yelling at her, she’s so mean.

“This is the obstetrics and gynecology ward. Please don’t make loud noises to avoid affecting other patients and children.” Shen Anan reminded as she entered the room.

After saying that, he glanced at the sarcastic woman.

This woman was also a bully who only bullied the weak and feared the strong. She remained silent when she saw Shen Anan come in.

But when the mother saw Shen Anan come in, she asked in a low voice: "Doctor, can I be discharged today?"

She didn't really want to be discharged from the hospital, but her mother-in-law didn't want to.

If she didn't say this, her mother-in-law would definitely cause trouble for her when she returned.

Moreover, her mother-in-law didn't bring her any food, so she would be hungry all the time if she stayed in the hospital. It would be better for her to go back.

Shen Anan looked at the woman in labor on the bed: "You just gave birth yesterday, and it's a bit early to be discharged from the hospital today. Let me check you first."

She heard what the two of them said before, but this was their family affair.

She has encountered this several times in the past two days since she came here, and she can't possibly care about it.

"There's nothing serious wrong with your health, but it'd be best if you're discharged tomorrow. Giving birth to so many babies in a row has already affected your health. If you don't replenish your nutrition in time, it will become difficult to get pregnant again if you develop underlying health problems."

She said the last two sentences to her mother-in-law.

The mother is less than 30 years old and has given birth to five children. This time the baby weighs less than five kilograms and it is obvious that the baby is not getting enough nutrition.

If she had to go without food and drink like this every time she gave birth, she would be lucky to be alive.

Wanting a grandson is probably just a dream.

"Ah?" The woman in labor didn't expect this to happen.

"What nonsense are you talking about, little doctor? You are so young, you may have never given birth to a baby. What do you know? I gave birth to seven babies and everything was fine, didn't I?" the old woman retorted.
