Chapter 39 Script

Chapter 39 Script

Although he did not take on any more acting roles, he looked at the endorsement invitations compiled by his agent.

The brands this time are relatively reliable, and there are several brands that everyone is familiar with, which is also the benefit of gaining fame.

The more famous you are, the more favor you will get from brands in addition to invitations from film producers.

Of course, Gu Wei’s current fame is still very ordinary, mainly because he has a certain level of status, but his popularity among the people is too low.

After all, he's in a movie. If he had a hit TV series, his popularity would have skyrocketed, and his endorsement fees would have soared as well.

The small brands that approached him basically offered him around 2 million per year, and all of them offered him one-year contracts. I guess because he had too few works, they were afraid that he would just be a flash in the pan, so they only offered him short-term contracts.

The endorsement fees from big brands are less, around 3 million for 2 years.

Of course, he is not the only spokesperson chosen by big brands, but just one of the spokespersons for their sub-products.

The main reason is because his recent movie is very popular and they want to use his popularity to bring in some popularity, so the big companies don’t care about this endorsement fee.

After discussing with the agent, there is communication with the brand.

Gu Wei has taken on the endorsement of five companies including Colgate, Semir, Joyoung Soymilk Maker, Liushen and Rejoice.

The endorsement fee for each company ranges from 1.5 million to 2 million, and a one-year endorsement contract is signed.

Gu Wei signed a contract with the brand in the form of a company, and the total endorsement fee of 9 million will be deposited into the company's account according to the requirements of the contract.

There is an advantage to doing this. The endorsement fee will be considered as part of the company's income and can be paid when the company files corporate tax returns, which is more convenient.

Another thing is that when you buy a car, a house or even make a donation in the name of the company in the future, you can offset part of the tax.

In December, Gu Wei resumed his normal life of studying at school.

He only occasionally has to go out and shoot commercials for the products he endorses. These are relatively simple, basically some flat photos, or at most a short video with a plot. It doesn't take up much of his time.

With the 9 million yuan in endorsement fees, the company's account is relatively comfortable, with 3 million yuan left of the 8 million yuan loan.

Yang Liwen used the money to purchase the copyright as Gu Wei requested.

"Gu Wei, why haven't I seen you go out recently?" After a class, Gu Wei was still arranging the books on the table, and Nazha came over and asked.

"I haven't had anything to do recently. I've finished dealing with the movie [The Blade Stitch] and I haven't taken on any new dramas, so I naturally have time." Gu Wei replied.

"I'm not asking you that. I'm asking why you don't go out and find a girlfriend. It turns out that except for class time, you're rarely seen on campus. Do you think I don't know what you're doing?"

Nazha curled her lips. She had experience with this. The two of them ran away after class and never met their classmates. They were just the two of them.

Something is wrong with Gu Wei now. He is not in a hurry to leave after class. He has time to play basketball and chat with classmates.

"Is your girlfriend out filming?" Nazha asked.

"Okay, I know what you want to ask. We broke up." Gu Wei spread his hands and said indifferently.

Although Nazha had expected it, the surprise came a little suddenly.

She controlled her emotions and pretended to be calm, asking, "What's going on? Did you cheat on me? I haven't heard about it. Or is there something wrong with her?"

"Don't make wild guesses. It's all nonsense. Don't you know what kind of person I am? If I could cheat on you, I would have done it. She has no problem with it either. It's just that we're not suitable for each other. This is a peaceful breakup."

After thinking for a while, he said, "She is a very good person. We don't have any conflicts. If we can't be a couple, we can still be friends."

"Oh, I understand." I don't know what Nazha understood.

"Okay, let's stop talking. They are still waiting for me to play basketball." Gu Wei had packed up his books and walked out with his bag.

Behind him, Nazha's mouth corners curled higher and higher, and she could no longer control her smile.

After class that day, Gu Wei made an appointment with driver Master Zhang to pick him up, and the car arrived downstairs of the company soon.

When he arrived at the company, his agent came to the office to meet him.

"Have you found the person I asked you to find?"

Gu Wei asked.

"They've already found them, Mr. Gu. They've all arrived before you came and are waiting in the conference room now."

Yang Liwen replied.

"Okay, come with me to meet them."

There were two people sitting in the conference room. One was a middle-aged man who looked to be around 40 years old. He was slightly plump, short, with thinning hair, dark skin, and black-framed glasses. He wore a green vest and would occasionally pick up the thermos in front of him, blowing on it and taking a sip.

The other one was a lady who looked young. Although she looked ordinary, she was dressed very elegantly. She was sitting side by side with the middle-aged man across a chair, typing intently on her mobile phone.

Gu Wei and Yang Liwen pushed the door open and entered the meeting room.

The two people in the room stood up when they saw this. Yang Liwen took a quick step and said, "This is Mr. Gu from our company."

"Mr. Gu, this is Yang Tao, Teacher Yang." Yang Liwen introduced to the middle-aged man.

"Hello, Mr. Gu." Teacher Yang was standing next to him, bending down slightly and extending his hand.

"Teacher Yang, welcome, welcome." Gu Wei also stretched out his hand and shook hands with him.

"This is Cai Xiaojing, Teacher Cai."

"Hello, Teacher Cai." Cai Xiaojing was standing quite far away, so Gu Wei didn't go to shake her hand but greeted her with a smile.

"Mr. Gu, you must be Gu Wei, the one who played 'Chen Lian'!" Cai Xiaojing recognized Gu Wei at once.

"Yes, it's me," Gu Wei replied with a smile.

"That's great. I really like the movie 'The Blade of the Assassin'. I think your role as 'Chen Lian' is so handsome. Can you sign an autograph for me later?" Cai Xiaojing made her request with a cheerful look on her face.

"Of course, we'll get your autograph after we finish our work."

He stretched out his hand and said

"Please take a seat, both of you."

After everyone sat down, Gu Wei continued

"What are you two here for? Mr. Yang has already told you what we are doing."

The two nodded after hearing this.

"Well, I won't waste any more time talking nonsense. I have a story in my mind. I've already made an outline of the story and roughly described some of the specific plot.

But I'm not a professional screenwriter after all, so I can't make the script perfect. You two are big names in the industry, and I invited you to help me complete this script. I hope you can use your professional level to fully present the story in my mind in the script."

Gu Wei was definitely praising the two of them by saying this.

He had read both of their resumes. They both had literature degrees and had worked as screenwriters for films and TV series. However, they were considered lower-middle-class screenwriters.

The scripts he has written are all not very famous, and the signatures are at the end. It is obvious that he is the "Party B". He does all the work himself, and people find fault with him. In the end, all the fame goes to others.

Even a real big-name screenwriter would not take on a job like Gu Wei's.

"I understand, Mr. Gu, I am familiar with this job." Yang Tao replied.

Cai Xiaojing also nodded.

After working in the bank for so many years, they both understood what Gu Wei meant.

To put it bluntly, Gu Wei asked them to be "gunmen" to write scripts for him.

Gu Wei paid, they worked, and once they wrote a satisfactory script, their work was done. All the signatures and copyrights of the script belonged to Gu Wei, and they had nothing to do with it.

They had no objections. This was not their first time doing this job, and Gu Wei paid them a lot.
