Chapter 62 Settling Down

"Shit!" The red-bearded dwarf from Kwabeta crashed into the wine table behind him, watching the black mist twist into the shape of a skull in the holy light. "Why does this look so much like the purification spells of the Holy Knights of the Holy Order?"

"Priest! This guy is a priest!"

An adventurer looked up and saw that Mark had taken the initiative to show his personal panel.

At this moment, the adventurers in the tavern saw this message:

[Name: Mark Stu]

[Occupation: Cleric (II)]

[Level: lv.11]

Looking at the panel hanging above his head, Mark couldn't help but secretly complain about the God of Creation in his heart, and at the same time thanked Sister Monica again.

It is really a blessing to have an appraiser around. Other people's camouflage scrolls can only cast a layer of white mist outside the panel, but they can directly change the name.

Mark once again suspected that the appraiser was the biological son of the Creator God.

"I'm sorry, Sir Mark. I offended you. I apologize!"

After Beta put on his clothes, he bowed sincerely and respectfully apologized to Mark.

Mark didn't know if he thought of little Mark when he saw his name, but that didn't matter to him anymore.

He showed off his skills today not only to earn Beta's money, but also to create a high-end customer base among this group of adventurers.

It is not easy to find a good thing in Osborne Town by paying to hire a novice clergyman who is comparable to a mid-level priest.

All the adventurers present wanted to make friends with Mark, but only one table of people kicked the table away with gloomy faces, pushed open the door of the tavern and strode away unhappily.

Mark just glanced at the one-eyed Pabbi who was leaving and didn't take it to heart for the time being.

With the identity of a "priest", even if Pabbi had ill intentions towards him, he would not dare to do it in a busy town. The only time he should be careful is when he leaves Osborne Town.

Mark and Monica did not stay in the pub for long. They just said goodbye to everyone and said that they would come to the pub often in the future, and then went out together to find a hotel.

To express his apology and gratitude, Beta first transferred the gold coins to Mark's adventurer identity badge on the second floor, and then he and his adventure team members took Mark to find a hotel with a better environment.

Beta and his five adventure team members also stayed in that hotel.

Along the way, Mark and Monica got to know several members of the Beta Adventure Group.

In addition to the ranger Beta, there are two shield warriors, a water elemental mage, and two newcomers, knight Jimmy and archer Anna.

Mark didn't know if it was his illusion, but he always felt that the archer Anna's eyes hidden under the cloak were secretly looking at him with strange eyes.

With them leading the way, Mark and Monica didn't have to waste their energy and came with them to Chunhui Hotel, which was located near a small river east of Osborne Town.

This hotel was opened by a local in Osborne Town and is one of the better hotels in Osborne Town.

If Mark and Monica were new adventurers with limited financial resources, Beta would not recommend them to stay here.

The Deer Hunter Inn near the town gate is the best choice for newcomers. It has large bunk beds and is relatively the most economical hotel in Osborne Town.

As soon as they saw the style of Chunhui Hotel, Mark and Monica fell in love with it.

The Chunhui Hotel in the night is reflected in the sparkling water and merges with the crescent moon in the river.

Two magic crystal lamps hung under the oak porch, swaying in the wind, casting shadows on the gray stone wall covered with ivy.

The mist rising from the river at night enveloped the tavern like a dream. Perhaps it was the influence of this elegant environment that the area near Chunhui Hotel was obviously much quieter than the street near the Grizzly Bear Tavern.

When several people pushed the door, the copper bell on the hotel's oak door made a series of clear and crisp sounds.

The hotel's plump proprietress wearing an apron came out to greet them.

"River View Suite." Beta made the decision for Mark and Monica and asked the landlady to take them to see the best room in the hotel.

The proprietress led a few people upstairs. When she pushed open an oak door with tree scars while holding a fluorite lamp, the iron door hinges creaked crisply.

The first thing you see is the lattice windows in the living room, which cut the moonlight into diamond-shaped spots and sprinkle them on the pine wood floor. On one side of the living room, a pile of wood is neatly stacked in the stone fireplace.

"My suite is usually rented by a complete adventuring group. It has three bedrooms, one guest room, and one bathroom. The monthly rent is 10 gold. If you and your partner don't think it's suitable, there are cheaper single rooms for rent downstairs."

Although the people were brought by Beta, the proprietress saw that Mark and Monica were young and was considerate of their wallets.

"Let's take a look first." Mark and Monica didn't care much about the price of Chunhui Hotel.

They are more concerned about the environment and living conditions.

"Don't be fooled by the fact that the window frames are old and the paint is peeling. Chunhui Hotel is the only hotel in Osborne that uses double-glazing, and the window hinges are made of stainless steel. In the fall and winter, you don't have to worry about the windows creaking in strong winds, and it also helps retain heat better."

As Beta spoke, he knocked on the solid oak window frame with the hilt of his sword, shaking off a few dead leaves that were stuck to the glass outside.

The fireplace faces a small terrace of the suite.

Monica lifted the faded canvas curtains on the terrace, and the river breeze immediately rushed in with cool moisture.

The cast iron railings were covered with patches of rust, and in the corner a few wilted wild roses were placed in a clay vase.
