Yes, my fiancée.
The lights in the courtyard cast a warm yellow glow, and the sweet fragrance of gardenias mingled with the summer night breeze. Just as G-Dragon put the ring on Su You's finger, friendly cheers erupted from those around them.
"Give me a kiss!" his longtime dance troupe friend shouted, immediately drawing a chorus of agreement.
Kwon Ji-yong's ears turned slightly red. Amidst the deafening applause, he quickly leaned in and lightly pecked Su You's lips. Before she could react, he had already straightened up, pretending to be calm as he straightened his suit, but he couldn't hide the upturned corners of his mouth.
Su You covered her face, peeking at him through her fingers, her eyes curving into crescents: "Hey! Kwon Ji-yong, you ambushed me!"
He raised an eyebrow smugly, pulled her into his arms, and gestured with his chin to his friends who were cheering the loudest: "I kissed my fiancée, is there a problem?"
"Hey, look how smug GD is!" Kwon Da-mi, the older sister, teased with a smile, then stepped forward and gently hugged Su You. "If this kid ever bullies you in the future, tell me."
Another funny incident occurred while cutting the cake. Kwon Ji-yong insisted on holding Su You's hand to cut it together, but their strength was uneven, and half of the cream flowers were cut off. Su You dipped some cream in the cream and, when he wasn't looking, dabbed it on the tip of his nose.
G-Dragon froze, and the entire audience fell silent for a moment before bursting into even louder laughter.
"Su! You!" He pretended to be angry, but had already taken out his phone. "Quick, stand over here and take a selfie."
In the photo, he's sporting a creamy nose, grinning from ear to ear, while Su You leans on his shoulder, laughing so hard she almost falls over. This photo later became one of his most treasured keepsakes from his time in the military.
Later, everyone sat around a long table in the courtyard playing drinking games. When it was G-Dragon's turn to be punished, his friends mischievously made him perform a "three-shot sequence of flirting with his fiancée".
Amidst everyone's expectant gazes, he scratched his head and actually started winking, making heart shapes with his hands, and blowing kisses to Su You. Afterwards, he couldn't resist burying his face in Su You's shoulder.
"So embarrassing..."
Su You rubbed his reddened ears, laughing so hard she couldn't stand up straight.
As night deepened, the guests gradually departed. Kwon Ji-yong pulled Su You away to the swing in the backyard. He gently swayed on the swing, humming an unfinished melody.
"Are you happy today?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of barely perceptible tension.
Su You leaned on his shoulder, playing with the buttons on his suit cuffs: "Yeah! It's just that your friends are too noisy."
“They like you.” He lowered his head and kissed the top of her head. “Especially Sister Duomei. She’s very strict, but I’ve never seen her so kind to anyone.”
The moonlight shone on the two of them, casting long shadows. G-Dragon pulled a small velvet box from his pocket.
"There are more gifts?" Su You asked in surprise.
Opening it reveals a pair of exquisite earrings, designed in the shape of tiny planets and inlaid with pale blue diamonds.
“It was custom-made by a designer,” he said softly. “The left side is the Earth, and the right side is the Moon.” He helped her put it on, his fingertips gentle. “Even if we are separated for a while, we will always be intertwined.”
Su You touched the little planet on her earlobe, then suddenly jumped off the swing and pulled a keychain from her handbag. It was a hand-woven Rilakkuma, dressed in camouflage, holding a small star in its arms.
"Here you go!" She placed it in his hand, her cheeks slightly flushed. "I've been learning from the videos for half a month. Carrying this is like having me training with you."
G-Dragon gazed at the slightly clumsy gift, then suddenly pulled her into a tight embrace.
“I will carry it with me every day.” His voice was a little choked up. “When I come back, we will have the grandest wedding and let everyone know that Su You is my wife, G-Dragon’s wife.”
A night breeze carried the faint scent of osmanthus blossoms from afar. Su You looked up from his arms, her eyes sparkling:
"It's a deal then. You have to behave well and come back to marry me as soon as possible."
He lowered his head and pressed his forehead against hers, his laughter carried on the wind:
"Yes, my fiancée."
The engagement ring shimmered gently in the moonlight, freezing this night as the sweetest footnote to their youth. And their story was just beginning to unfold.
