Chapter 130: Wealth and Fascinating Eyes
At around six in the evening, Lin Shutang received a call from Li Yansheng: "Come downstairs."
Lin Shutang was sitting at the table looking at the plan. When she heard what he said, she glanced at the time on the computer. It was only 6:32. She asked, "You're leaving get off work so early today?"
Li Yansheng: "Well, I'll take you to dinner."
Lin Shutang felt warm at the thought. Even though Li Yansheng might not have left work early just to have dinner with her, she still felt happy.
She trotted downstairs and saw Li Yansheng standing next to the car, his left hand on his waist and his right hand holding a mobile phone, talking on the phone.
Lin Shutang has seen many CEOs making phone calls in this posture, and most of them tend to look greasy.
Li Yansheng's posture didn't convey that feeling; instead, it made him look even more upright and serious. He must be on the phone with someone below him. As Lin Shutang approached, he heard him say, "I have other plans. The meeting time will be after 8:30..."
Lin Shutang did not interrupt his plan. He stood about two meters behind him and waited quietly.
Perhaps sensing the gaze behind him, Li Yansheng turned around. Seeing her approach, he spoke to the person on the other end of the phone, "Well...that's it."
Fan Sizhuo was away, so Li Yansheng drove the car himself tonight. Li Yansheng opened the passenger door, and Lin Shutang got in.
Forty minutes later, the car stopped in front of a building.
Lin Shutang looked up and saw that from the outside, it looked like a pure shopping mall and it didn't look like there was a restaurant at all.
She followed Li Yansheng inside, and as soon as she entered the hall, someone came to greet her. A passerby, curious about what kind of person could be treated like this, looked over.
The person leading the way pressed the elevator on the right and went all the way up to the 32nd floor.
After exiting the elevator, Lin Shutang's gaze was instantly captured by the scene before him. He had never expected the scene inside to be like this. The glass ceiling above looked like a colorful starry sky.
As you walk to the edge of the corridor, you can see that the center of the building is hollowed out, but unlike the usual shopping malls, the middle floors are covered with glass. Looking down from here, the light from the ground lamps on the first floor shines through the glass, like a kaleidoscope.
Looking around this floor, Lin Shutang could clearly see that the customers on this floor were mostly middle and upper class, so there were relatively few people.
They finally stopped at the door of the box at the end.
"Please take a seat, my dear guests. Please wait a moment. The dishes will be here soon."
Lin Shutang looked at the entire wall of glass and didn't pay attention to what he said.
She walked over to the glass and looked out at the bustling night scene. Although she had seen many things she had never seen before since being with Li Yansheng, she was still momentarily surprised by this night scene today.
Lin Shutang couldn't remember how many times he had this feeling. Often, what everyone thought was wealth and luxury was just other people's daily life.
The people who served the food came in and were supposed to stay to see if the guests needed anything, but Li Yansheng waved his hand and asked them to leave.
After Lin Shutang took a few photos of the night scene, he heard Li Yansheng's voice: "Let's eat first."
Turning around, I saw him put a small bowl of soup next to him: "This soup is good, try it."
Lin Shutang sat down, scooped a spoonful with a spoon, and tasted it. She couldn't tell what kind of soup it was, but it tasted good anyway. She drank another half bowl and wanted to get another one, but Li Yansheng stopped her.
He glanced at the empty bowl in Lin Shutang's hand and smiled faintly: "Eat some vegetables, don't just drink the soup."
Lin Shutang then took a look at the dishes on the table. They all looked good, but she didn't recognize many of them. She had never really been very particular about food; she just liked it if it tasted good.
