Chapter 139 The Story in the Tail Ring
In the living room of the Jiang family, Jiang Qinyuan saw Lin Shutang coming in and stood up to greet him: "Shutang, you are here."
After saying that, she saw her eldest brother outside who seemed to have finished his phone call and was about to come in. Jiang Qinyuan turned around, picked up the dessert on the table, and pulled Lin Shutang upstairs.
The two of them walked into Jiang Qinyuan's room.
As soon as Lin Shutang sat down, Jiang Qinyuan took her hand and began to ask: "I haven't had a chance to chat with you since you came back. Tell me quickly, what's going on?"
As she spoke, she looked at Lin Shutang's belly and said, "And your belly~"
Lin Shutang briefly explained to her what had happened recently.
After listening to this, Jiang Qinyuan looked at the ring on Lin Shutang's neck that she had just shown her, and slowly said, "He gave you this ring, so he must be serious about you."
When Lin Shutang heard this, he didn't say anything and waited silently for Jiang Qinyuan's explanation.
"Try it." Jiang Qinyuan took a bite of the pastry on the plate, then handed another piece to Lin Shutang. She then said, "I heard that this ring belonged to the wives of the successive heads of the Li family. Old Master Li's wife, Li Yansheng's grandmother, gave this ring to Li Yansheng's mother, Chen Ke, before she died. Later, Li Guangsong cheated on her husband, and the relationship between Chen Ke and Li Guangsong became strained. Before Chen Ke went abroad, she gave this ring to Li Yansheng."
Jiang Qinyuan paused, took a sip of the water on the table, and continued, "You can imagine how much this ring means to Li Yansheng. And now that he's given it to you, it's very likely that he's decided on you."
Lin Shutang knew that this ring was of great significance to Li Yansheng, but she had never expected there to be such a story behind it. As for Jiang Qinyuan's words of recognition of her, she didn't take them too seriously.
Lin Shutang had dinner at Jiang's house. After dinner, the Jiang family's driver took her back to Luyuan.
Jiang Qinyuan originally told Lin Shutang to stay and rest for a night, but Lin Shutang refused.
After hearing those things during the day, she inexplicably wanted to hear Li Yansheng's voice and go to the place where he had been.
Back in their room, before taking a shower, Lin Shutang sent a message to Li Yansheng: [Are you busy?]
Then he went into the bathroom.
About an hour later, Lin Shutang came out of the bathroom, picked up her phone, and saw several missed calls, all of which were from Li Yansheng.
Just as she was thinking about calling, someone knocked on the bedroom door.
Lin Shutang went to open the door. It was Aunt Lu. She was wearing pajamas, with a look of panic on her face and her breathing a little unstable. She must have jogged upstairs.
"Madam, are you okay? My husband said he couldn't get through to you on the phone, so he asked me to come and see you."
Hearing this, Lin Shutang glanced at the lit screen in Aunt Lu's hand. It was still on the call interface with Li Yansheng, but the call had been hung up.
Then, the phone in Lin Shutang's hand rang. Before answering, Lin Shutang explained to Aunt Lu: "I was just taking a shower. It's okay. You go and rest first!"
"OK."
After closing the door, Lin Shutang answered the video call. It was Li Yansheng calling.
She was wrapped in a towel, revealing a large area of skin at her collarbone. The phone had good pixels, and even the slightest bit of redness at her collarbone was clearly visible.
Li Yansheng's Adam's apple moved, and his voice was slightly hoarse: "Did you blow dry your hair?"
"Yeah, it's blown." Lin Shutang sat down in front of the dressing table, put on a hairband, and began to apply something on her face.
Li Yansheng could tell from her actions that the little girl was probably in a bad mood.
"Angry?"
"How dare I get angry with Boss Li?"
On the other end of the phone, Li Yansheng curled his lips and chuckled silently: "Speak properly."
