Chapter 24: A Little Difficulty
"What do you mean?" Jin Yiming had a bad expression on his face. He stared at Lin Shutang, wondering how much she knew.
"Mr. Jin should understand what I mean." It would not be good for Lin Shutang to fall out, so she didn't say it explicitly, but both of them could understand what she said.
Hearing the familiar voice, Li Yansheng lowered his eyes.
Today she wore a silk shirt and white trousers, her hair pinned up in a dark shark fin clip, a rare, smart look. Even as she spoke threatening words, her tone remained calm, her slender back straight as she stood opposite a man nearly twice her size, a sort of dauntless force.
Chen Jinyao: "It seems that this little girl is being embarrassed by her family again."
When Li Yansheng heard this, he paused flipping through the medical report. The image of the graceful figure he had seen on the Chen family balcony that day flashed through his mind: "Again?"
Chen Jinyao pursed his lips and raised an eyebrow. "Well, you know about the blood draw, so I won't go into details. She came to tutor because the Feng family asked her to pay a certain amount of child support. I don't know the specific circumstances, but based on my understanding of Feng Chengchuan, it should be quite a lot. This child has been in the Feng family for many years and she probably hasn't had a good life."
Li Yansheng tapped the ash from his cigarette, turned his head and glanced downstairs, his eyes dark, "You're the one who will repay a favor!"
"Um?"
Li Yansheng's words were somewhat incoherent. Chen Jinyao didn't react at first, but when he realized he was talking about the Feng family, he was a little surprised.
His cousin has always been a person with a strong sense of boundaries since he was a child. It is rare to see him comment on other people's affairs. This is the first time he has said such sarcastic words.
Chen Jinyao: "I heard that the last time they moved, there was quite a scene. Now they must have given up."
Li Yansheng didn't say anything else, his expression was calm, as if the words just now were not his.

At the same time, upstairs, Li Yansheng glanced at his watch. Chen Jinyao noticed his movements and glanced at his phone screen. "It's time for dinner. I told Xiaoling I'd go back and have dinner with her. Wanna join us?"

Lin Shutang went to Chen's house after lunch. He ate alone and it didn't take him much time.
When we arrived at the Chen family's house, the Chen family had just finished their meal. Old Master Chen and the little girl were sitting on the sofa with their backs to the door, entertaining each other.
"Your grandfather is still restless at his age, he deserves this fall."
"Grandpa, Lingling will definitely behave herself and won't fall like Grandpa did."
The little girl spoke in a serious tone. Chen Jinyao and Li Yansheng sat across from them.
Seeing her coming, Chen Jinyao stood up: "Teacher Lin, you are here, have you eaten?"
"I've eaten." Lin Shutang smiled and looked in his direction, but his eyes were actually on Li Yansheng next to him.
