Chapter 281 "Tell me again, who were you thinking about just now?"
The moment Li Yansheng emerged from the office, Lin Shutang stood up. Seeing this, Fan Sizhuo realized she wasn't as calm as she appeared.
Knowing that the two probably had something to say, Fan Sizhu said hello to Li Yansheng and left first.
Lin Shutang left the tea table area and walked to Li Yansheng. He looked up at him and saw no obvious external injuries. His face looked normal, so he breathed a sigh of relief.

Lin Shutang glanced around and saw a few people standing not far away with documents in their hands, looking over here from time to time. They were probably waiting for the things inside to be dealt with before going in to find Li Guangsong.
So she replied, “Okay.”
After arriving at the garage, Li Yansheng sat in the driver's seat and waited for Lin Shutang to fasten his seat belt before starting the car.
Lin Shutang tilted her head. The walls and floor of the underground garage were cement gray, and the light was also gray and dim. She couldn't make out the man's expression clearly. But she vaguely guessed that the previously mentioned personnel replacement had come to a conclusion today.
Thinking of this, her hands, which were originally holding the seat belt, unconsciously clenched together, getting tighter and tighter.

Lin Shutang tilted his head.
Li Yansheng hadn't taken his hand off her leg yet. He steered the car with one hand, slowly merging into the traffic flow. "I've said before that this matter will come to this, whether you're here or not. Don't take it too seriously."
His tone was neither hurried nor slow, as if he was not talking about anything related to him.
The warmth on his body slowly spread from the place where his big palm touched, and Lin Shutang inexplicably calmed down. The tension caused by the surge of guilt began to ease, and his grip on the seat belt gradually loosened.
She turned her head to look at Li Yansheng, and just watched the traffic flow until a horn blew in her ears, then she came back to her senses and replied with a smile, "Okay."
Lin Shutang only found out that Li Sheng failed to get that position after he returned home from dinner with Li Yansheng.
As they approached the door, Li Yansheng received a call from Fan Sizhuo. Lin Shutang vaguely heard the words "confirmed" and asked casually out of curiosity, "Confirmed what?"
Li Yansheng put his phone in his trouser pocket, met her curious gaze, and chuckled, "I've decided that the old man will sit in that seat himself."
Lin Shutang then remembered that he was so focused on replacing people that he forgot what Li Sheng said before leaving the company.
Li Sheng had planned so much to grab this position, but he didn't expect it to be all in vain in the end. Lin Shutang had originally thought that he would at least get promoted for a while, and then be pulled down when others discovered his incompetence.
