Chapter 294 Gossip
On the way back after dinner, Li Yansheng received a call. Because he was driving, his mobile phone was connected to the Bluetooth in the car.
Lin Shutang recognized the voice on the other end as Zhou Xi's. They were speaking Cantonese, and Lin Shutang couldn't fully understand what they were saying, so he could only guess roughly.
It was basically saying that Zhou Xi's uncle was threatening to sue the Zhou family's old man. Because there was a record of the person's admission to the hospital, things were a bit complicated now.

Lin Shutang hadn't told Li Yansheng about her comic book career. She had no plans to tell him yet; it was her own little secret.
At six o'clock in the afternoon, Li Yansheng called and said that he had a dinner party and would not be going home for dinner. After the dinner, he had to go to Zhou Xi's house and would be back late in the evening.
"Okay." Judging from the voices around him, he should already be at the table. Lin Shutang heard the sound of glasses clinking, probably someone toasting.
Thinking that he might have been drinking, he started to remind him, "Then take Fan Sizhu with you. Don't drive by yourself."
Listening to her caring words, Li Yansheng imagined the expression she might have had when she said that while holding the phone. Li Yansheng returned home around 11pm. When the bedroom door opened, Lin Shutang was still awake, leaning on the bed watching a movie.

Seeing her looking at him, Li Yansheng casually hung the coat in his arm on the floor-standing clothes rack and said, "Why aren't you sleeping yet?"
Lin Shutang exited the video app as if nothing had happened and put the tablet down: "Waiting for you."
Li Yansheng didn't miss her little gesture. He walked over with a smile, and after kissing her forehead naturally, he asked jokingly, "Why aren't you usually so clingy?"
He saw through Lin Shutang's reason for staying up late. He felt guilty for a moment, then started pushing his back and changed the subject: "Hey, go take a shower! It's so late."
Li Yansheng didn't expose her, but followed her movements and went to the bathroom.
When he came out of the bathroom, Lin Shutang was already feeling sleepy. As soon as the person next to him lay down, he would habitually move over and lean into his arms.
In a daze, as if suddenly remembering something, she asked, "How's the situation at the Zhou family?"
Seeing that she was so sleepy, yet she still didn't forget to ask about this matter, Li Yansheng was both angry and amused. He had never realized before that this little girl was quite gossipy. He raised his hand to smooth her hair and said, "It's settled."
