Chapter 315 Wild
Lin Shutang found out that Li Yansheng had attacked Qiansheng one day at noon at Li's house.
Early in the morning, when the two were still sleeping, Li Yansheng's cell phone rang.
Lin Shutang was woken up and groaned as she pulled the quilt over her face. Li Yansheng patted her covered head soothingly and got up to answer the phone.
Li Guangsong: "Come back at noon!"
Li Yansheng's expression was cold, and he wasn't very interested in his proposal. He didn't say whether he would go or not, but only asked, "What's the matter?"
The meaning was clearly that there was no need to bother him anymore and there was no need to go back.
Li Guangsong was almost irritated by his temper again. The angry words were on the tip of his tongue, but he took them back.
"You are my son, and the Li family is your home. Can't you come back if nothing happens?" There was still dissatisfaction in his tone, but it was not as tough as before.
Li Yansheng sneered silently, twirling the lighter in his hand casually, and said without warmth: "You know your own character."
"If you have something to say, just say it." He turned around to look at the bulge on the bed. Seeing the person on the bed sticking out their hands from under the quilt, showing signs of waking up, he said impatiently again, "If you have anything to say, hang up."
Li Guangsong curled his lips at this attitude, but he didn't say anything more lecturing. He changed the subject and said, "The Sheng family wants to see you. After all, they are your elders, so you shouldn't make things too embarrassing."
Afraid that he would refuse again, Li Guangsong continued: "If you avoid seeing people, they will have no choice but to come to me. If you continue to avoid seeing people, they will inevitably turn their attention to other places. They know that you protect that little girl very closely. I think you don't want her to be disturbed."
Li Yansheng's eyes dimmed slightly, and after a few seconds of silence, he said, "I understand."
When Li Yansheng returned to the master bedroom, Lin Shutang had already opened his eyes. However, he didn't seem fully awake yet. He was leaning against the headboard, holding a pink doll in his arms, in a daze.
Hearing the door open, she looked up and her eyes met Li Yansheng's.
The latter's face was gentle, without any trace of the coldness he had shown when he called earlier: "Are you going to get up?"
Lin Shutang was stunned and didn't say anything. Li Yansheng didn't urge her. He walked over and sat down next to her, just waiting.
After a few seconds, Lin Shutang nodded as if he had realized something belatedly: "Yeah."
She crawled out of the quilt, supported herself on the edge of the bed with her hands on either side, and slowly put her feet into her plush slippers. Seeing that Li Yansheng was still sitting next to her and didn't seem in a hurry to go out, she asked, "Aren't you going to the company today?"
"Go." Li Yansheng stood up and followed her into the bathroom. He brushed her hair out of her nightgown and tied it up with the hair tie she had just given him last night. Then he asked, "If you're bored at home alone, you can come with me."
Among the precautions the doctor gave, there were some about the mental health of pregnant women. He said taking her out more often would help her maintain a positive mood. So, when Li Yansheng wasn't too busy, he would occasionally bring Lin Shutang along.
Lin Shutang shook his head: "Mianbao has to go to the hospital for a checkup today."
Speaking of cats, after knowing that Lin Shutang was pregnant, Li Yansheng originally wanted to send it away.
It's not that I'm worried about the virus, but Bread always jumps on her to sleep. When the cat was still small, it didn't bother me. But now that the cat is several times bigger and she's pregnant, it's really unsafe to keep her around.
However, facing Lin Shutang's tearful expression, and knowing she was more likely to be pitiful, Li Yansheng still couldn't bring himself to send the cat away. He simply gave the cat to the family servants, who told them to keep it in a small building nearby and to check on it more often.
The cat was a bit wild, and since it couldn't see Lin Shutang almost all day like usual, it meowed for two days at first. Later, when it realized that Lin Shutang still made time to come over every day, it stopped meowing. It even stopped looking for Lin Shutang after it discovered a large tree branch leading directly to the backyard from the window of the small building. Whenever it had time, it would go out and play along the branch.
Lin Shutang was worried that it would fall, so he asked someone to tie a piece of cloth under the tree.
