Chapter 34 Porcelain Doll

Chapter 34 Porcelain Doll

When Brother Qiao arrived, Tang Yue was already waiting in the living room of 813.

He glanced at the closed door and asked, "Has Mr. Li gone in?"

Tang Yue nodded: "Yeah."

Guessing that the person in the room wouldn't come out for a while, she couldn't help but wonder, "Ms. Lin?"

Brother Qiao spread his hands and said, "I don't know more than you."

Ten minutes later, the door of the room was opened and the doctor came out, then turned around and closed the door.

Seeing that the person inside had no intention of coming out again, Brother Qiao silently highlighted Miss Lin in his mind.

In the room, Li Yansheng was still wearing his nightgown. He was sitting on the sofa in the room, staring at the girl on the bed.

The person wrapped in a white quilt had an injection in his hand and a fever-reducing patch on his head. His face was abnormally red, but his lips were dry and pale.

Li Yansheng picked up the cup of warm water next to him and used a cotton swab to touch the water to her lips.

The moment of contact, it was like a fish taking to water, his lips slightly opened, greedily wanting to take in more.

The tip of the bright red tongue swept across the corner of his lips. Li Yansheng tilted his head, put down the cup, stood up and went to the balcony.

He lit a cigarette for himself, and the smoke slowly exhaled and dissipated.

Before he finished smoking a cigarette, he called Fanszhuo.

When Fan Sizhu received a call from his boss at around four in the morning, he thought there was an emergency at the company and his mind instantly became clear.

"boss."

"Send a set of pajamas to 813."

"OK."

Fan Sizhu glanced at the time displayed in the upper left corner of the phone. He was calling at this time just to ask for clothes to be delivered?

He was puzzled, then suddenly realized something and his eyes widened. 813, isn't that Miss Lin's room?

Fan Sizhu instantly became more energetic than before, and his resentment for having his sweet dream disturbed was gone. He was full of curiosity and gossip.

When the clothes were delivered, Li Yansheng was on the balcony making a phone call.

Fan Sizhuo knocked first, but he didn't hear it. His phone line was always busy. Finally, he sent a message, but only noticed it after Li Yansheng finished the call.

When the door of the room opened, Fan Sizhu respectfully handed over the bag of clothes and glanced inside inconspicuously, but saw nothing.

"The meeting at 9 a.m. tomorrow has been postponed. The specific time will be announced later."

"Okay, boss."

Li Yansheng went into the bathroom with his pajamas.

As he adjusted his collar, he noticed the water at the edge of the bathtub that hadn't dried up yet. The doctor's words flashed through his mind: "Ms. Lin is weaker than the average person and can't stand the cold."

When Li Yansheng changed his clothes and came out, the person on the bed had already woken up.

The blush on the girl's face had faded, but the usual peach pink had also faded, leaving only a pale, bone china-like complexion, without any color.

Her seaweed-like hair was casually spread out, and she leaned against the head of the bed with her eyes slightly lowered, staring at the quilt on her knees in a daze, not knowing what she was thinking.

When seeing that scene, Li Yansheng thought of a word - porcelain doll.

I heard the bathroom door open, and the person on the bed glanced over. He had just had a fever, and he looked listless. But his eyes were clear, like a child's, and he could see clearly at a glance.

Li Yansheng walked over to her bedside and sat down. Seeing that the medicine had not yet been injected, the needle next to her was already hanging casually in the air. He asked with his thin lips, "Did you pull out the needle yourself?"

Lin Shutang nodded absentmindedly.

Li Yansheng raised his hand and felt the temperature of her cheek with the back of his hand. It was no longer as high as before. He then looked at the injection site on the back of her hand and saw no signs of bleeding.

"Are you feeling any worse?"

This series of actions and words exuded an unprecedented naturalness.

Lin Shutang didn't say anything and looked up at him.

The man's thin lips moved, and he said something like asking a doctor to come and check her again, but Lin Shutang didn't quite listen.

She thought that Li Yansheng seemed to have said more to her that night than he had since they met.

"I'll take you to school tomorrow morning."

The mellow voice fell again, and Lin Shutang tightened his grip on the corner of the quilt, then he straightened up and knelt on the bed, leaning his upper body towards him, and his slender white hands just wrapped around the neck of the person in front of him.
