Chapter 51 The People Behind the Feng Family
Yunwu Villa was halfway up the mountain, and not very crowded at this time of year. When Lin Shutang and his group arrived, it was still not too late.
As soon as I got off the bus, a staff member came up to me and asked, "Have you ordered a meal or do you need accommodation?"
Zhao Lanzhi: "Both, his name is Feng Chengchuan."
"Okay, please follow me."
Lin Shutang followed the group, silently memorizing the route.
The private rooms were all made of wood. The one near the inside was opposite the hot spring area. When Lin Shutang and Zhao Lanzhi entered, Feng Chengchuan and a man were already sitting inside.
The man was about forty years old. There were more or less photos of Beijing business CEOs of this age on the Internet, but Lin Shutang had never seen this man.
Judging from the Feng family's cautiousness, he must be the one behind the Feng family. The Feng family is no longer satisfied with the benefits brought by the marriage, but has reached higher ground. Today is not a blind date at all, but another unilateral gift to her.
"Shutang, come here quickly and pour tea for Mr. Zhou."
Lin Shutang took a look at the Mr. Zhou he was talking about. His hair was parted in a 3:7 ratio, neither too long nor too short. He had a kind smile on his face and seemed to have a good temper, but his complexion did not look very good.
There was a secretary-like man standing behind him. He was relatively young and had two cell phones in his hands, one of which should belong to Mr. Zhou.
Lin Shutang ignored Feng Chengchuan's words and just found a seat to sit down.
Feng Chengchuan's expression changed, and he raised his voice and called out, "Lin Shutang."
Then, he stood up and tugged at Lin Shutang's arm, trying to force her to Mr. Zhou's side. Halfway through, he was stopped by Mr. Zhou: "Hey, why are you angry with the child? Sit down, sit down."
Zhou Congmin smiled as he looked at the girl opposite him. She was wearing a cheongsam and had a pretty face, looking just like her youth.
She covered her mouth with a handkerchief and coughed, then spoke in a gentle tone, "Don't be restrained. Eat first. The food won't taste good if it gets cold."
Upon hearing this, Feng Chengchuan didn't look at Lin Shutang anymore, but poured Zhou Congmin a glass of wine in a flattering manner.
Lin Shutang ignored these people and picked up a piece of food with chopsticks and put it in his mouth. It tasted pretty good.
Seeing this, Zhao Lanzhi kicked Lin Shutang under the table. Lin Shutang ignored her and continued to eat.
You silly girl, you really think I'm here for vacation and you dare to show me your displeasure.
Never mind, she's just a fish on the chopping block. They'd let her escape several times before, but this time, they were keeping an eye on her personally and wouldn't let this damned girl ruin their plans.
Thinking of this, the smile on Zhao Lanzhi's face grew wider and wider and could no longer be concealed.
Halfway through the meal, Zhao Lanzhi said, "Shutang, go out and ask the staff which two hot spring rooms we have."
Seeing that she didn't move, Zhao Lanzhi leaned over and threatened her in a voice that only the two of them could hear: "Don't you want to know the whereabouts of your grandfather?"
In the end, Lin Shutang got up and went out very reluctantly.
This trip wasn't entirely fruitless. When the staff took Lin Shutang to see the hot spring rooms, she saw Chen Runling trotting into one of them. It wasn't far from the two rooms she had just seen.
After returning to the dining room, Lin Shutang did not touch the drinks on the table, nor did he eat any more food. He only picked up a few dishes that the others had picked up with his chopsticks, and then stopped moving.
Zhou Congmin noticed Lin Shutang's cautiousness, picked up the teacup, took a sip, narrowed his eyes, and said nothing.
He was cautious, but it was useless. If he set his sights on something, he would definitely get it.
When he reached the door of the hot spring room, Lin Shutang was pushed hard and fell into Zhou Congmin's private room.
She turned to leave, but the wooden door was already closed. She tried to pull, but it wouldn't budge. Lin Shutang had just checked, and none of these rooms could be locked from the outside. Someone must have been holding it tightly from the outside.
