Chapter 209 Searching for Jiang Hua

Gu Yiming waited for Jiang Hua in the game for a long time but she didn't come online. Moreover, Jiang Hua's avatar remained gray. Gu Yiming originally thought that she would come online after a while, but half an hour had passed and there was still no movement from her side.

Gu Yiming looked at the text messages he had sent her, but Jiang Hua hadn't replied to a single one. Clearly, she hadn't even seen them. Normally, at this time, if he sent her a message, she would reply within a minute or two, at most five minutes. Now, he was watching the game lobby, where other guild members were diligently completing all the tasks assigned by the guild on time. But for him, it was different. For some reason, he felt like something was missing.

As time ticked by, he felt increasingly uneasy, and finally found his phone in his pocket.

"Beep beep... Beep beep..."

The phone rang for a long time, but the final result was—the number you dialed is currently switched off.

Gu Yiming frowned and stared at his phone for a few seconds.

Meanwhile, Jiang Hua's phone has been stuck in a black screen state because she forgot to charge it last night.

Gu Yiming listened to the phone call and thought it over and over. In the end, he decided to call Jiang Hua's roommates and friends to ask them what was going on. They were usually on good terms, so why was Jiang Hua's phone off? The call was answered very quickly after dialing.

"Hello, are you my roommate who teaches art? When I called Jiang Hua, her phone was off. Do you know where she is right now?" Gu Yiming asked quickly.

The roommate paused for a moment, then realized what she meant and replied, "Oh, you mean Jiang Hua? He said he had something to do and skipped his afternoon class. As for where she is now, I really don't know, but I think she's usually a cautious person, so nothing will happen to her."

After hearing what he said, Gu Yiming frowned even more. "Something came up this afternoon? Asking for leave?" He muttered those words over and over. Jiang Hua usually just played games; why did she have to run into trouble at this particular time? Gu Yiming thought for a long time, but still couldn't figure out what it was.

Gu Yiming himself didn't know why he cared so much about Jiang Hua. Perhaps it was because they were high school classmates, or perhaps it was because they played games together for a long time and became more familiar with each other.

So he finally decided to go find Jiang Hua. Once he made up his mind, he immediately grabbed his things and went out.

Twenty minutes later, Gu Yiming stood directly at the gate of Jiang Hua's school.

Gu Yiming rushed to the main gate, taking three steps at a time, and arrived at the school's guardhouse. He looked at the guard anxiously, grabbed the guard's clothes, and said, "Sir, I need to talk to someone in the school about something. I went in to take a look and will be out soon."

Seeing the young man's anxious look, the guard at the guardhouse, despite his strict work attitude, noticed the strength with which the young man gripped the hem of his clothes and finally shook his sleeve.

"Oh, I see. Is there something urgent? Young man, you should go in quickly, just in case something happens. But remember, you must be quick and come back soon. Schools have their own rules and regulations..."

Once Gu Yiming was given permission to pass, upon hearing the first few words, he immediately rolled up his sleeves and ran inside, completely ignoring the nagging from the master behind him.

Gu Yiming had been searching for a long time, but it was difficult to find someone in this unfamiliar place. He grabbed a classmate and asked anxiously.

"Excuse me, do you know anyone here named Jiang Hua? She's a quiet girl, not very tall, and she just happened to be standing here."

The classmate stared blankly at Gu Yiming, pointing to his chest with one hand. "Uh, how would I know, bro?"

The student quickly shook his head and said, "I don't know, I didn't see it. Maybe we're not in the same department. Why don't you ask someone else? Maybe they know them."

Gu Yiming glanced at him, then rushed forward. After running for a while, he caught up with another classmate. Gu Yiming was becoming more and more flustered.

Gu Yiming blocked the female classmate's path with one hand and asked, "Do you know Jiang Hua? Do you know where her dormitory is? I'm looking for her urgently, please help me."

The female classmate paused for a moment, then asked, "Are you talking about Jiang Hua? I think I've seen her before. Oh right, I think her dorm is in that building, on the third floor."

Upon hearing this, Gu Yiming quickly thanked him, "Okay, thank you. I'd like to ask you for a favor. Could you go up and ask her about her situation for me?"

Gu Yiming looked at the girl anxiously. For some reason, his heart was pounding, as if there was some bad omen. The girl couldn't stand his intense gaze and finally agreed.

The young girl Gu Yiming had asked for returned in just a few minutes, and Gu Yiming hurriedly asked her about her current situation.

"How is it? Have you found out anything about Jiang Hua's situation?"

Gu Yiming only realized at that moment that although it only took the little girl three to five minutes to go up there, it felt like an eternity to him. It was only at this moment that he understood what torment meant. It was something that made life worse than death, it was just too painful.

"Well, I only heard from her roommates that Jiang Hua went to a hospital in the city. I don't know the specifics. I just heard that Jiang Hua is like this from someone else."

After listening to what the young girl said, Gu Yiming looked deeply into her eyes and ultimately believed that what she had just said was true. However, he had a question in his mind: Jiang Hua was perfectly fine, so why did she go to the city hospital? Did something happen?

After listening, Gu Yiming nodded and expressed his gratitude to the young girl, saying, "Well, thank you anyway!"

The young girl said, "You're welcome," and the two said goodbye. But Gu Yiming became even more anxious. To be honest, he was worried about Jiang Hua. He wondered if something had happened to her that led her to the city hospital.

With that thought in mind, he had already walked out of the school gate.
