Xia Junxi finally spoke his mind. Although he didn't particularly like Gu Yiming, he could still understand him. After all, this wasn't what Gu Yiming wanted.
When Jiang Hua heard Xia Junxi say that, she actually laughed. She felt like she was listening to a joke. If Gu Yiming really cared about her that much, he would never have done something to hurt her like that.
Xia Junxi saw that Jiang Hua didn't believe what he had said, and he felt helpless. How could he resolve the conflict between the two of them?

Jiang Hua knew that Xia Junxi said that to comfort her, and she could understand his good intentions, but she could not forgive Gu Yiming right now, and that was something that could not be changed.
Since arriving here, Jiang Hua thinks about her unborn child every night. She feels particularly guilty for not protecting him properly, for letting him disappear from her world before he even saw it.
This was a huge blow; she would never forget it. Xia Junxi felt heartbroken looking at her. He knew she had been through so much and it was understandable that she couldn't understand it right away, but Xia Junxi felt it was necessary for him to say what he wanted to say.
“Jiang Hua, I know this has hit you hard. You are heartbroken to have lost your child, but have you ever thought that Gu Yiming must be feeling terrible too? He has poured so much effort into you and the child. Now he has lost not only his child, but you have lost yours as well. Do you think he can bear it?”
Hearing Xia Junxi's words, Jiang Hua still scoffed: "You're overthinking it. He has someone new with him now, why would he remember me?"
Xia Junxi knew that Jiang Hua cared a lot about Xu Xiaoxiao's matter and Gu Yiming's attitude towards the two of them. He felt that it was time to tell Jiang Hua the truth.
Keeping this from her isn't protecting her; it will only cause her more pain.
So Xia Junxi wanted to explain the fire. He looked at Jiang Hua very seriously and said, "I know you may really think that Gu Yiming abandoned you, but the truth is the opposite. He just changed the way he protects you."
Jiang Hua was puzzled; Xia Junxi's words were quite meaningful. "What do you mean by that? Are you hiding something from me?"
"Actually, there are many things you don't know, but I can't tell you everything. However, I can tell you now that this fire was actually designed by Gu Yiming. He planned it with me in advance, and I also knew that a fire would happen there, so I rushed over to save you."
