In the quiet corridor, Gu Yiming leaned wearily against the wall. When considering the mastermind behind Fanfan's kidnapping, his first thought was of business enemies. Besides, he had offended many people in the business world; he wondered which one it was.
Ultimately, it was all his fault. Hu Haoran's suggestion had indeed made him hesitate, since it would be extremely dangerous for them to stay here any longer.
The wait for the results was too agonizing, so he took out his phone and dialed the number of the prison police.
The call was quickly answered, and he asked directly, "Have the kidnappers spoken?"
The police officer on the other end of the phone reported truthfully: "There are still no results. The kidnappers seem to be certain that you won't kill them, and they refuse to reveal who the mastermind is."

After leaving the hospital, Gu Yiming drove them to a famous restaurant nearby.
The scenery outside the car window flashed by. Ye Qingqing, sitting next to Jiang Hua, suddenly raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Huahua, I suddenly feel that your complexion has become very good lately."
Jiang Hua asked suspiciously, "Really?" Strange, she felt that she had become much more haggard recently because of Fanfan's matter.
Ye Qingqing clicked her tongue a few times, looked her up and down, and then teased, "In my opinion, it's because of the nourishment of love that you've become more and more beautiful. You can't tell at all that you're a mother."
Her face instantly turned bright red, and she glared at Ye Qingqing, annoyed and embarrassed, saying, "Qingqing, can you please stop teasing me all the time! As she finished speaking, her gaze intentionally or unintentionally drifted towards Hu Haoran, who was sitting in the passenger seat.

Ye Qingqing snorted coldly before pulling her hand back, which meant she let her go.
The five of them soon arrived at the restaurant. Ye Qingqing was treating, so she naturally ordered a lot of dishes. The sight of the delicious food placed on the table instantly whetted their appetites and stimulated their taste buds.
Gu Yiming looked at Jiang Hua with a doting expression, and casually picked up a piece of lion's head meatball and put it into her "medicine": "Eat more, you look like you've lost a lot of weight recently."
Seeing this, Ye Qingqing snorted coldly and said sourly, "This display of affection is blinding me."
"You should eat more too." Hu Haoran smiled gently and put a piece of chicken into her bowl.

After a satisfying meal, Jiang Hua looked at Ye Qingqing and suggested enthusiastically, "Qingqing, let's go shopping. The two men can carry what we buy, how about that?"
Ye Qingqing nodded in agreement with a delighted surprise.
The next day, Xu Mo returned from abroad. Looking at the sea of people at the airport, he smiled faintly. He hadn't told anyone he was returning, so upon disembarking, he immediately took a taxi to the hotel his assistant had arranged beforehand.
The assistant, who was already waiting at the hotel, saw him arrive and immediately came to him respectfully, saying, "Your accommodations have been arranged. I'll take you there."
He nodded, then followed his assistant into the elevator to rest. However, as they entered the elevator, the assistant, who was walking in front, unexpectedly lost his footing and fell. Xu Mo, who was behind him, also fell due to a moment of carelessness, but fortunately, he reacted quickly and grabbed the edge of the elevator console.
He climbed with all his might, shouting for help, "Is anyone there? Please help me!"
Wan Qi, who happened to be passing by, heard the cries for help and immediately came into the elevator. Seeing Xu Mo trapped inside, she exclaimed, "Wait for me, I'm coming to rescue you!" Then she ran out to find others to help.
Hotel security personnel and staff arrived quickly and rescued Xu Mo, who was trapped in the elevator.

Wan Qi looked at him and gently comforted him, "Don't worry, your assistant will be fine."
Moments later, the assistant was rescued by the crowd, severely injured. Fearing for his life, he immediately called an ambulance to take the assistant to the hospital.
Afterwards, Xu Mo breathed a sigh of relief. He looked at Wan Qi and said gratefully, "Thank you. This time it was my assistant's negligence that didn't know the elevator was malfunctioning and under repair. If it weren't for you, I might have been in mortal danger."
Wan Qi smiled gently and said, "You're welcome."
