“I don’t care,” Gu Yiming smiled slyly, “If you want to know the truth, you have to do as I say.”
Jiang Hua looked at Gu Yiming helplessly, "Okay." Then she planted a kiss on Gu Yiming's cheek.
"Not enough," Gu Yiming said, feigning innocence despite having gained an advantage, "It doesn't count if it's about appearance."
"Then what do you want?"
Jiang Hua pretended to be angry and turned her head to the side. Unexpectedly, a large hand forcefully turned her head back. Before Jiang Hua could resist, she felt warm breath on her face.
"Mmm~" A thin pair of lips covered her soft lips.
After a passionate kiss, Jiang Hua pushed Gu Yiming away and said angrily, "Now you can say it, right?"
The man, having had his fill of pleasure, decided to stop teasing Jiang Hua and began to tell her the whole story.
After hearing the whole story, Jiang Hua couldn't help but sigh. Gu Yiming gently comforted her, "Alright, it's other people's business. Even if we wanted to, we couldn't interfere. Let's leave and let them calm down."
Jiang Hua nodded, and after the two greeted the two people in the ward, they left.
As the two rode in the car, Jiang Hua kept thinking about what Gu Yiming had just told her. She knew that Xu Mo liked Ye Qingqing. But she never expected Xu Mo to be so heartless as to have thoughts of murder. Was it really worth it?
Seeing Jiang Hua staring out the window in a daze, her eyebrows furrowing occasionally, looking quite adorable, Gu Yiming teased, "What are you thinking about? So lost in thought, are you perhaps thinking about other men behind my back?"
Unexpectedly, Jiang Hua nodded seriously, "Yes, I'm thinking about Xu Mo."
"Why?" President Gu looked at Jiang Hua with a wronged expression.
“I always felt that Xu Mo was strange,” Jiang Hua said with a serious expression. “He has a kind of hostility about him, and he feels completely different from before. But, it’s not surprising, his sister… sigh.”
Jiang Hua sighed softly.
"Alright, alright," Gu Yiming comforted her, "Don't think about those unhappy things anymore. We need to give Xu Mo time."
“But…” Jiang Hua wanted to say something more.
Gu Yiming interrupted her, "You're not allowed to think about other men anymore. Am I that unattractive? How could you think about other men when I'm right here with you?"
Jiang Hua chuckled as she looked at Gu Yiming's jealous expression. "Alright, I don't want to be. It's almost dinner time. How about I take you to the barbecue stall I used to go to when I was a kid?"
Since Jiang Hua was so interested, Gu Yiming naturally agreed.
"This, this is the barbecue stand you mentioned?" Gu Yiming looked around and said hesitantly.
“Yeah.” Jiang Hua casually found a seat and sat down.
"The hygiene here is terrible!" Gu Yiming hesitated to sit down.
Jiang Hua smiled helplessly. She knew that Gu Yiming had been pampered since childhood and had never been to a place like this before, so she naturally wouldn't hold it against him. However, with the barbecue stall owner watching from the side, it probably wasn't appropriate.
Jiang Hua smiled apologetically at the boss, who shrugged, indicating that it didn't matter.
Having run this barbecue stall for so long, the owner had seen all sorts of people. The moment he saw Gu Yiming, he knew he must come from a distinguished background. For someone of his stature to be willing to accompany his girlfriend to a place like this was already quite remarkable.
"Our little shop is a bit unhygienic," the barbecue stall owner said, trying to smooth things over. "Here, let me wipe it for you."
"Thank you." Gu Yiming took a seat and thanked the boss.
"Don't be shy," the owner said with a smile. "Huahua is a regular customer here. What would you two like to eat?"
Gu Yiming looked at Jiang Hua with a doting expression, "Order what you like to eat."
"Uncle Wang, I want grilled meat, just like before," Jiang Hua said with a foodie look on her face, and added, "Extra spicy."
Jiang Hua and the boss have known each other for many years, so their relationship is naturally quite familiar.
"Okay."
So, looking at the plates of grilled meat sprinkled with chili powder, Gu Yiming felt nauseous as he picked them up and placed them on the table. He never ate spicy food, but when he glanced up at Jiang Hua, who was happily eating, he smiled bitterly to himself. It seemed he would have to "endure the pain" tonight.
"Why aren't you eating?" Jiang Hua was enjoying her meal when she noticed Gu Yiming watching her eat but rarely touching his own food. "Is it not to your liking?"
“No,” Gu Yiming picked up a piece of meat and put it in his mouth, “It’s delicious, and it suits my taste perfectly.”
"Really?" Jiang Hua looked at Gu Yiming suspiciously. "I don't believe it. You're not just saying this to make me happy, are you?"
"No, no." Gu Yiming inwardly groaned; he didn't want to eat spicy food.
“But I understand,” Jiang Hua said knowingly. “Big bosses like you must have never been to a place like this before. I can understand if you’re not used to street food.”
Gu Yiming smiled but didn't say anything.
“However,” Jiang Hua suddenly smiled brightly, her voice as gentle as water, “Yi Ming, I am already very happy that you can sit here with me today. I am really lucky to have met you.”
Gu Yiming smiled indulgently. Having her by his side was a kind of luck for him as well.
"Why are you saying these things out of the blue? We have a child now, so even if you wanted to leave me, it would be impossible."
"Hmph, that's not necessarily true," Jiang Huaxin said sweetly, but still stubbornly replied, "If you ever make me angry, I'll take our son with me and leave."
"Jiang Hua," Gu Yiming narrowed his dangerous eyes, "you dare?"
After saying that, he pulled Jiang Hua into his arms and tried his best to look fierce.
"No, please let me go, I'll never do it again," Jiang Hua pleaded.
The two were playfully bickering when Jiang Hua tugged at Gu Yiming's sleeve and said, "Mr. Gu, I want to have a drink."
"No!" Gu Yiming refused outright.
"Why?" Jiang Hua pouted, looking dissatisfied.
"Drinking alcohol is bad for your health." Mr. Gu's reason was very simple and blunt.
"Just a little bit?" Jiang Hua bargained. "Isn't just a little bit enough?"
"No way!" President Gu said firmly.
No matter how much Jiang Hua pleaded, Gu Yiming refused to budge, so Jiang Hua had no choice but to give up.
Just as the two were playfully bickering, the barbecue stall owner walked over with a bouquet of roses and a smile on his face.
"draw."
Jiang Hua looked at the barbecue stall owner, puzzled.
The shop owner continued, "You're a regular customer here, so this bouquet of roses is for you."
"For me?" Jiang Hua looked around and noticed that the other diners were all staring at her. She felt a little embarrassed and her face flushed slightly. "No, no, I didn't do anything. Why would I receive your flowers?"
