Jiang Hua woke up early the next morning with a terrible headache, as if she'd been hit. She held her head, turned it around, and realized no one was beside her. She touched the sheets; they were cold. It seemed Gu Yiming had been gone for quite some time. Jiang Hua wanted to get up, but her head was too painful. She stayed in bed, trying to recall what had happened the day before.
Jiang Hua thought for a long time, but her head ached even more and she still couldn't remember anything. She had completely forgotten about yesterday's events after taking a nap. Jiang Hua thought that it wasn't anything important anyway. She had just drunk too much with Si, so what could it be?
Jiang Hua got up, quickly washed up in the bathroom, and then lay down on the sofa, exhausted. Gu Yiming watched Jiang Hua sprawled on the sofa in the monitor, feeling both amused and helpless. He checked the time; it was almost noon. Gu Yiming figured Jiang Hua probably didn't even know the time. He picked up his phone from the table.
Jiang Hua didn't even bother to look at the caller ID. She just grabbed the phone that was lying on the sofa and answered it. "It's almost noon. Wake up and eat."
Hearing that it was Gu Yiming's voice, Jiang Hua was a little puzzled as to why he would be so kind as to remind her to eat lunch.
Jiang Hua hung up the phone. She was indeed a little hungry. She touched her stomach and went to the kitchen to see if there was anything she could eat.
Jiang Hua had just reached the dining table when she saw the note on it. She picked it up and saw that it was in Gu Yiming's handwriting. "Considering your good performance yesterday and the excellent work you did, I forgive you and will no longer hold it against you."
Jiang Hua rubbed her eyes, somewhat unable to believe that Gu Yiming would let her off so easily. She happily kissed the note repeatedly. Gu Yiming, watching Jiang Hua's joyful expression on the screen, couldn't help but laugh out loud.
After reading the note, Jiang Hua felt much better, her headache disappeared, and she happily took out the ingredients from the refrigerator to start making her lunch.
Jiang Hua couldn't help but laugh out loud while eating. She realized that she hadn't been able to go out and have fun properly in a long time. Being pregnant made it inconvenient for her to do anything. Thinking about this, Jiang Hua picked up her phone and dialed Su Wenwen's number.
As soon as the call connected, Jiang Hua excitedly chattered on and on, “Wenwen, this is great! I’m free! I have some good news to tell you. Let’s go shopping this afternoon. You can’t refuse me. I’m so excited.”
Listening to Jiang Hua's incessant chatter on the other end of the phone, Su Wenwen couldn't help but touch her forehead. Luckily, she had the foresight to keep the phone away from her ear, otherwise she would be driven crazy by the noise.
Jiang Hua, seeing no sound from the other end of the phone, called out in confusion, "Wenwen, Wenwen?"
"I heard you, stop shouting!" Su Wenwen quickly stopped her, otherwise she would lose her hearing.
"Okay, I have time this afternoon. Even if I don't, I'll make time for you," Su Wenwen said helplessly.
Upon hearing that Su Wenwen had agreed, Jiang Hua happily confessed her feelings to Su Wenwen, then said, "I need to get ready first, wait for me." After saying that, Jiang Hua hurriedly hung up the phone.
Jiang Hua finished getting ready and rushed out the door. She hadn't had a proper time to play in a long time, and this time she was determined to have a great time with Su Wenwen.
Upon meeting, Jiang Hua pounced on Su Wenwen, causing Su Wenwen to stumble back a few steps. "You almost knocked me to the ground," Su Wenwen said helplessly, looking at Jiang Hua in her arms.
Jiang Hua nuzzled against Su Wenwen, "It's just that I haven't seen you for a long time."
Jiang Hua dragged Su Wenwen to the mall; it had been a long time since she'd gone out to pick out new clothes. Jiang Hua was very excited the whole way, chattering away nonstop.
Gu Yiming saw that Jiang Hua was no longer in the house on the monitor and guessed that she must be out having fun. He then made a phone call to harass her.
Jiang Hua was having a great time when the phone rang. She took it out absentmindedly and asked who it was. Gu Yiming, hearing Jiang Hua's words, was a little angry. He was so concerned about her, yet she was still having so much fun. Gu Yiming said irritably, "It's me." Upon hearing it was Gu Yiming, Jiang Hua quickly asked what was wrong.
"Don't come back too late, be careful, and call me if anything happens." Hearing Gu Yiming's concern, Jiang Hua felt a warmth in her heart. "Okay, I know." After hanging up, Su Wenwen started teasing Jiang Hua, making Jiang Hua blush and quickly tell Su Wenwen to shut up. Seeing Jiang Hua's shy face, Su Wenwen stopped teasing her.
Before they knew it, the two had spent the afternoon together. Jiang Hua had played so much that she was getting hungry, so she suggested they go have dinner. Su Wenwen was also a little hungry, and the two of them agreed and headed to the restaurant.
During dinner, Jiang Hua told Su Wenwen about the events of the past few days, and the two chatted and laughed for a while before the time passed. After they finished eating, Jiang Hua didn't want to go home. She and Su Wenwen strolled along the road, chatting idly, when they were spotted by Jiang Shiwan, who was furious. Jiang Shiwan stood in a corner, watching Jiang Hua chatting and laughing under the lamplight, and the contrast between her own anger and Jiang Hua's behavior was ironic.
Jiang Shiwan clenched her fists; she was having the worst day ever. She had been distracted throughout filming, and every scene she filmed was rejected by the director and had to be reshot. This particular scene involved diving, and Jiang Shiwan jumped again and again, shivering from the cold, before telling the director, "Can we film this scene tomorrow? I'm so cold today."
The director looked at Jiang Shiwan, whose lips were turning purple from the cold, and waved his hand, "Let's shoot tomorrow. If you're still not in the right state of mind tomorrow, you'll be filming the whole thing."
The director is very angry that so much time was wasted here today. Jiang Shiwan kept thinking about Jiang Hua while filming today, trying to figure out how to get rid of her, but every take she took was unsuccessful. After getting the director's approval, Jiang Shiwan quickly went back to the dressing room to change.
After warming up inside, Jiang Shiwan tidied herself up and went outside to go home. However, as she reached the corner, there were no cars around, and she saw Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen walking and chatting happily in the distance. Jiang Shiwan's eyes filled with anger, wanting to rush over and yell at Jiang Hua, that shameless woman. But Jiang Shiwan took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and controlled her emotions.
After Gu Yiming finished organizing his work at the company, it was already getting late. He turned on his screen to check the time, but the room was completely dark; Jiang Hua hadn't returned yet.
