Jiang Hua returned to the Jiang family home, where Jiang Shiwan and Liang Huiqin watched a TV series starring Jiang Shiwan together, happily discussing her performance. Liang Huiqin couldn't hide her pride.
The beautiful and elegant television set made Jiang Shiwan feel very honored to have such a beautiful and capable daughter. She felt very comforted to have such a daughter.
The two of them watched Jiang Shiwan's TV show quietly when suddenly the door opened. Liang Huiqin checked the time and thought it must be Jiang Zhaolin returning.
I thought of greeting him, a smile spreading across my face, and then I turned around.
But what she saw was Jiang Hua standing right in front of her. Liang Huiqin's expression changed rapidly; she never expected Jiang Hua to come back.
She was about to ask Jiang Hua, but Jiang Zhaolin was right next to her, so she thought better of it and decided not to, lest she upset Jiang Zhaolin. Jiang Zhaolin must have his reasons for bringing her back, so she could only hide her displeasure.
Jiang Hua saw Liang Huiqin's expression clearly. She knew that Liang Huiqin would definitely be unhappy about her return and would try her best to kick her out.
But who is Jiang Hua? She wouldn't let that happen.
She knew that Liang Huiqin wasn't saying anything about her now only because Jiang Zhaolin was there and she didn't dare. Once her father left, she might not say anything so hurtful.
Jiang Hua had already seen through this, but she wouldn't let them have the chance to do so.
So she pretended to be surprised and asked Liang Huiqin, "Are you not welcoming me? Why did your face change when you heard I was going home? Don't you want me to live with you anymore?"
Liang Huiqin was caught off guard by Jiang Hua's words and didn't know what to say. She just glared angrily at Jiang Hua. She knew Jiang Hua must have said it on purpose.
She wanted Jiang Zhaolin to hear it, but she wouldn't rashly argue with her about it. Although she really didn't welcome Jiang Hua living here, she still had to maintain the demeanor of an elder.
Otherwise, Jiang Zhaolin would get angry, so she suppressed her urge to retort to Jiang Hua and chose to remain silent.
However, Jiang Shiwan didn't think as much as Liang Huiqin did. She already disliked Jiang Hua, and this time Jiang Hua was deliberately trying to cause trouble for her mother.
She wasn't going to let it go so easily. She immediately retorted to Jiang Hua, "How can you talk like that? Where are you not welcome? Don't be so petty. I think you're just deliberately picking a fight."
"Who's deliberately picking a fight? Look at Liang Huiqin's reaction when she saw me come back. It was like she'd seen a ghost. Isn't it because she doesn't want to see me? Do you think I'm blind?"
"Jiang Hua, don't go too far with your words. Whether we welcomed you or not, you've already come back. Would we have left if we hadn't welcomed you?" Jiang Shiwan said proudly, looking at Jiang Hua.
Jiang Zhaolin interrupted her, looking at Jiang Shiwan with a very unpleasant expression, and said, "Stop talking. Jiang Shiwan will be living here from now on. You two should get along well and not quarrel over trivial matters. You are the older sister, so you should be more accommodating to her, understand?"
Jiang Shiwan felt it was very unfair, which was why she and Jiang Hua got along so well. But she didn't say anything. Instead, she nodded reluctantly in front of Jiang Shiwan.
Jiang Hua felt happy seeing Jiang Shiwan like this, and then she stopped paying attention to the issue.
She was more concerned about where she would be staying, so she asked Jiang Zhaolin, "Dad, where will I stay when I come back? Is my room still there?"
"Your room is here, but you haven't been back for a long time, so it's been empty and seems like no one has cleaned it. I don't know if it's still safe to stay in now. I'll go check it out for you and find someone to clean it for you," Jiang Zhaolin replied truthfully.
Liang Huiqin then spoke up, "Jiang Hua hasn't been back for a long time. Her room must be covered in dust. She probably can't stay here tonight." What she really wanted was for Jiang Hua to back down and let her know that there was no longer a place for her to stay.
Jiang Hua was extremely disgusted by Liang Huiqin's face. She was just trying to make Liang Huiqin realize that this was no longer her home.
They're already mother and daughter, so she won't back down so easily.
So Jiang Hua looked at Jiang Zhaolin with a wronged expression and asked, "Dad, no one cleans my room, so how am I supposed to live here? You don't mean to make me live in a really messy room, do you?"
Jiang Zhaolin felt a little embarrassed after Jiang Hua said that, realizing he hadn't even thought to tidy up her room. It was his fault for not preparing in advance.
"We won't let you stay in a dirty or messy place. We have many guest rooms. Why don't you choose one to stay in first? We'll have someone clean it for you tomorrow, and then you can move into your room."
Jiang Hua glanced at Jiang Shiwan and replied, "Guest rooms? Aren't these places for guests? Am I already a guest? I don't want to stay in a guest room."
"Then where do you want to stay? Tell me." Jiang Zhaolin asked Jiang Hua for her opinion helplessly. He wanted to follow Jiang Hua's lead in everything.
Jiang Shiwan sensed that Jiang Hua was looking at her with ill intent, and knew that she must have some bad ideas.
As expected, Jiang Hua said to Jiang Zhaolin, "I want to stay in Jiang Shiwan's room. Her room must be very clean, so I'll stay there."
"Why did you choose mine out of so many rooms? You did it on purpose, didn't you? Jiang Hua, you've gone too far!" Jiang Shiwan angrily protested Jiang Hua's decision.
But Jiang Hua ignored her and instead walked to Jiang Zhaolin's side, saying aggrievedly, "I just want to stay in her room. She's been here for so long, can't she let me stay for one more night? Or are they just not welcoming me? Then I'll leave now." She then made a move to leave.
Jiang Zhaolin quickly pulled Jiang Hua back and said, "Alright, if you want to stay, then go stay in her room."
"Alright then, you said it yourself." Jiang Hua smiled with satisfaction after hearing this.
Jiang Shiwan was not about to give in so easily and wanted to rebel against the decision, but Jiang Zhaolin interrupted her and said resolutely, "That's it. Don't say anything more. Just let her stay for a while. Once her room is cleaned, she can go back."
Jiang Zhaolin's words carried weight, and Jiang Shiwan dared not say anything more. She could only reluctantly agree.
Jiang Shiwan glanced at her proudly, then happily ran to her room. Jiang Shiwan could only watch Jiang Hua's retreating figure and curse inwardly.
Jiang Hua spent a comfortable night in Jiang Shiwan's room. The next morning, looking at the large bed she had slept in, she thought she should surprise Jiang Shiwan and thank her for her "kindness," so she spilled the water from her cup onto Jiang Shiwan's bed, making the bed completely wet.
