When Jiang Hua heard her assistant say that Fei Yiming had a crush on her, she felt a little happy. Jiang Hua didn't know why her assistant would say that. She couldn't see any sign that Fei Yiming liked her. So she said to her assistant, "No, how could he possibly have a crush on me? If he liked me, he would have told me openly."
Hearing Jiang Hua say this, the assistant disagreed. He looked at Jiang Hua, shook his head, and said, "Madam, you don't know, the president recently bought all the magazines and books with your picture on them. Every single one has your picture in it. Don't you think he has a crush on you?"
Jiang Hua was a little happy to hear her assistant say that, but she still said to her assistant in a shy manner, "No, he would never have a crush on me."
When Fei Yiming returned to his office after the meeting, he saw Jiang Hua chatting with her assistant. Jiang Hua seemed to be having a good time. But then he thought that Jiang Hua was probably waiting for him. What did Jiang Hua want to see him for?
He was a little surprised. After walking in and seeing Jiang Hua, he asked her, "Why are you here today? And what are you and my assistant talking about? You seem so happy. Or did you come here to see me for something? If you have something to say, just tell me so I can help you."
Jiang Hua was chatting happily with her assistant when Fei Yiming suddenly returned, which startled her. However, her assistant, being perceptive, quietly left. Jiang Hua felt a little awkward. She had come here to ask Fei Yiming about her company's situation. Fei Yiming found it somewhat amusing to see Jiang Hua trying to justify herself. Jiang Hua, however, didn't understand what Fei Yiming found so funny. She looked at him and said, "What are you laughing at? Do you think what I said is that funny? If you keep laughing like that, I'll get angry and I'll talk to you."
Seeing that Jiang Hua was showing signs of anger, Fei Yiming decided not to joke with her anymore. If she really got angry, he wouldn't know how to appease her. So he looked at Jiang Hua seriously and said, "Okay, enough joking. What brings you here today? Did you really come to see me? I feel like you've come here for something."
Jiang Hua knew that Fei Yiming would know that she had come to see him because she had something to discuss. She looked at Fei Yiming with a hint of malice and said, "Okay, I came to see you to ask if you want to have dinner with me. I can treat you to a meal. Do you want to come?"
Fei Yiming looked at Jiang Hua and said she wanted to treat him to a meal. He looked at Jiang Hua in disbelief. If Jiang Hua said she wanted to treat him to a meal, then he should accept, right? So Fei Yiming readily agreed: "Okay, if you're treating me to a meal, then I'll definitely go and support you. Anyway, it's free for me to treat you, so I might as well eat it."
Fei Yiming felt that this was the first time Jiang Hua had ever invited him to dinner here. Could it be that his method had worked? He hadn't received a dinner invitation from Jiang Hua even with the terrible idea his assistant had suggested, but now, just because he had casually done something beneficial for Jiang Hua, she was offering to treat him to a meal. Jiang Hua had originally intended to ask Fei Yiming about her modeling agency.
However, she accidentally said she was inviting Fei Yiming to dinner instead. She looked at Fei Yiming and felt a little embarrassed. Fei Yiming and Jiang Hua went to a restaurant for dinner. Jiang Hua chose a seat near the window and waited there for Fei Yiming to order. Soon, Fei Yiming returned. He looked at Jiang Hua sitting there with a bit of helplessness, but still followed her to the restaurant to eat together.
Jiang Hua and Fei Yiming were enjoying their meal in a wonderful atmosphere when someone hurriedly walked past the window. Fei Yiming might not recognize him, but Jiang Hua definitely knew who it was—her former assistant. Looking at the assistant, she remembered why she had come to see Fei Yiming earlier that day.
So when she looked at Fei Yiming, she wanted to ask him about her assistant, but she didn't know how to bring it up. So Jiang Hua tentatively asked Fei Yiming, "Did you see that person who just passed by me? Doesn't she look familiar? I'm telling you, that person was my previous assistant, but I don't know why she was suddenly replaced."
When Jiang Hua said this, Fei Yiming didn't react at all, as if what Jiang Hua was talking about had nothing to do with him. But the other person felt that he had changed it himself, so he looked at Jiang Hua and said indifferently, "Your assistant? What's so strange about Bei Huan falling? Is it worth making such a fuss about?"

So Fei Yiming said to Jiang Hua, "Look what you're doing. Don't you know it's lunchtime? What are you doing instead of eating? What are you looking at those people outside for? Go and eat your food."
But the more Fei Yiming didn't tell her, the more she wanted to know what was going on. So she looked at Fei Yiming with a somewhat aggrieved expression. Fei Yiming couldn't stand Jiang Hua like this, so he had no choice but to compromise with her: "Didn't you tell me before that the people around you are very materialistic? I remembered what you said back then, and as soon as I took over your job, I immediately changed your assistant. How is your current assistant treating you now?"
When Jiang Hua heard Fei Yiming say that, she was a little touched. It was a long time ago when Jiang Hua had mentioned this to Fei Yiming, but he had remembered it all. She had only complained to Fei Yiming a few times and hadn't meant anything special, but now Fei Yiming remembered it all.
