Those around Jiang Hua were dumbfounded by her natural acting skills. They never imagined that this woman, who seemed to have nothing but a little money and didn't even know some basic words, could act so well. Moreover, they could see the director's praise for her. At this moment, they had to believe that geniuses existed.
Su Wenwen would often observe other people's reactions, seeing their surprised looks, their approving looks, and the many looks of disbelief that Jiang Hua was a newcomer. Looking at these looks, Su Wenwen didn't know why she was so proud, but she straightened her back and looked at Jiang Hua with pride.
It has to be said that even Jiang Hua herself felt quite accomplished. Her smile was natural, completely unadulterated, following the script perfectly, and entirely on her own path, yet it all felt very natural. Thinking about this, she felt a little proud. Occasionally, when she turned her head, she would meet the director's approving gaze, the incredulous looks of her fellow actors, and sometimes even see Su Wenwen's encouraging gaze. This made her performance even more relaxed and better.
Even the person she was acting with would secretly say to Jiang Hua, "You acted really well. Are you really a newcomer?" Before Jiang Hua could even subtly express that she was a newcomer, he would leave her ear and start the next conversation.
All of this greatly encouraged Jiang Hua, and she began to disregard the online criticism. Coupled with her beauty, it wouldn't be long before the criticism vanished, perhaps even turning into praise. The director and Su Wenwen understood this as well, and thus felt a strange sense of pride, knowing that they weren't the ones with such talent.
The scene ended quickly. Jiang Hua drank the water Su Wenwen gave her and wiped her sweat with a towel. When Su Wenwen spoke, she completely ignored the stares directed at Jiang Hua. Even though the scene had been over for more than ten minutes, those stares had not disappeared, and the words she spoke clearly reached Jiang Hua's ears.
Fortunately, they were just talking about trivial things, and Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen didn't pay any attention to it. Instead, they chatted even more happily and felt much more relaxed.
The director walked over to Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen, who were chatting. The smile on his lips and the admiration in his eyes had not yet disappeared. He sat down next to Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen, watching them talk, without any intention of interrupting them.
It was Su Wenwen who noticed the director. She nudged Jiang Hua and gestured with her chin towards the director behind Jiang Hua, signaling her to look over. Jiang Hua turned her head, looked at the smiling director, and smiled back.
Su Wenwen smiled at the two of them, and knowing better, she stood up and quietly left so as not to disturb their conversation. After all, she was the one who had forced her way in.
"I didn't expect your acting to be so good. You don't seem like a newcomer at all." The director turned to look at the night sky. The stars hung in the center of the sky, seemingly suspended by a five-element line, adding a few bright spots to the inky black night.
Jiang Hua smiled and turned to look at the night sky. She was naturally captivated by the beautiful night sky. Because of her good mood and the praise from many people, the night sky made Jiang Hua even happier. She said half-jokingly, "I thought you would say something like 'Are you really a newcomer?'"
"Haha, it seems many people have praised you before me." The director laughed, leaning back slightly and supporting himself with his hands. For some reason, he was particularly fond of the night sky tonight.
"Yes, there really are a lot of people." Jiang Hua didn't shy away from acknowledging the praise she received.
This straightforward personality earned her even more praise from the director, who said, "This is the first time I've ever seen someone who has never acted before and can instantly transform into an actress with no basic skills but full of talent."
"Director, please stop praising me, or I'll feel like I'm on top of the world," Jiang Hua joked. Her humorous remark made both the director and Jiang Hua laugh, creating a harmonious atmosphere that defied description.
“Alright,” the director stood up, looked at Jiang Hua who was still sitting, and said, “Let’s not waste such a good attitude. Let’s strike while the iron is hot and start filming tonight.”
"Really!" This news was undoubtedly the best reward for Jiang Hua. She stood up and said, "I'll go right away!"
"Hey, wait a minute," the director called out to Jiang Hua with a mix of helplessness and amusement, "Go touch up your makeup first."
"Ah, right, right, I was so excited I forgot." Jiang Hua smiled and turned to go to the dressing room. The director watched Jiang Hua's back and smiled unconsciously. He looked up at the sky, and the night sky was still so beautiful. A few stars seemed to adorn the loneliness of the night sky, but even so, it was so beautiful that words could not describe it.
Gu Yiming frowned slightly as he looked at the text message Jiang Hua had sent him. He put down his phone, and his fingers suddenly felt a little cold. No wonder he hadn't seen her all day yesterday; she had gone to film a movie. Filming a movie was fine, but she had to stay for a whole month. She left in the early hours of yesterday morning and only sent him the text message that night.
Moreover, she told him that things were going very smoothly for her. Although she faced a lot of criticism, the director had her film a skit, which garnered a lot of praise. Gu Yiming looked at the text message, and his lips actually pouted slightly. He had received this text message yesterday, but he had read it many times, and no matter how many times he read it, he was still very angry.
I can't say I'm angry, I can only say I'm in a bad mood.
When the assistant came in, he was startled to see Gu Yiming pouting. Gu Yiming was also looking at his phone, and the assistant was afraid that he had gone mad or had time-traveled.
The assistant grew increasingly frightened. He placed the file on the desk, but seeing that Gu Yiming still hadn't reacted, he became even more convinced of his suspicions. So, the assistant called him softly, only to startle himself.
"What?" Gu Yiming's words were icy cold, the first time his assistant had ever heard such a thing in all the time he'd been with him. The assistant was taken aback and said, "Mr. Gu... Mr. Gu, the documents."
"Put it here, then get out." He didn't want to say another word, but his bad mood startled his assistant. The assistant didn't even have time to nod before running out, carefully closing the door behind him. He didn't want to get yelled at for slamming the door too loudly, or even fired. This was no joke.
Gu Yiming looked at the document and noticed some problems. Without saying anything, he called his assistant and fired the two people in charge of the accounting.
"Oh dear, Huahua, look at you, you've got it all over my face." Su Wenwen dodged Jiang Hua's "clutches" while also smearing ash on Jiang Hua's face.
