Chapter 597 Filming is finally over

"I want to eat you up." Gu Yiming picked up a napkin from the table and gently wiped the milk oil off Jiang Hua's face.

Jiang Hua stared at Gu Yiming as if frozen in place. Their eyes met, and Gu Yiming's gaze was filled with an indescribable tenderness for Jiang Hua.

Jiang Hua stood up and quickly gave Gu Yiming a light peck on the lips.

Gu Yiming was secretly delighted by the unexpected kiss.

"Are you satisfied now?" Jiang Hua winked playfully at Gu Yiming.

Gu Yiming threw away the napkin in his hand. He desperately wanted a deeper kiss, so he leaned closer to Jiang Hua, placed one hand on the back of her head, and deepened the kiss.

A long century later, Jiang Hua smeared the cream on her hands again, and then mercilessly smeared it on Gu Yiming's face. Seeing that Gu Yiming's delicate face was also covered with white cream, Jiang Hua couldn't help but laugh out loud at Gu Yiming.

...

It was noon, and the sun was getting hot. Jiang Hua had only been with Gu Yiming for a short while when she was in a hurry to go to the film set.

"Yiming, didn't you tell the director you wanted to borrow me for a morning?" Jiang Hua questioned Gu Yiming. "Since you're already satisfied, let me go and film."

"Are you in such a hurry to go?" Gu Yiming replied. "What if I'm not satisfied?"

Jiang Hua knew that Gu Yiming was a man of his word. So she said in a coquettish tone, "If you finish filming sooner, I'll have more time to spend with you."

"If I don't film, I'll have more time," Gu Yiming muttered to himself.

"I'll take you to the film set." Gu Yiming picked up his suit jacket and put it on. "I'm worried about you going alone." Gu Yiming put on his watch on the table, then took Jiang Hua's hand and walked out of the hotel.

...

Just as the crew was preparing, Jiang Hua rushed out of the car. "Director, are we ready to start filming?" she asked calmly, trying to control her breathing.

After parking the car, Gu Yiming hurriedly followed closely behind Jiang Hua.

"Director, please pay more attention to our family's painting," Gu Yiming said.

After the director nodded in approval, Gu Yiming told Jiang Hua, "Take care of yourself. I'm going back to the company to handle some documents."

Jiang Hua nodded. "Okay, I understand. You go ahead and take care of your work at the company. I'll come find you after I finish filming, don't worry." She secretly breathed a sigh of relief as she watched Gu Yiming leave.

As soon as Gu Yiming left, a group of staff members swarmed around Jiang Hua.

"I just bought this at the nearby Starbucks. You've worked hard drawing, here, have a drink," said the screenwriter, who had long, wavy hair, bright red lips, and a slightly listless look in her eyes.

The screenwriter pushed aside the group of people surrounding Jiang Hua, took Jiang Hua's hand, and tried to give her the Starbucks, but Jiang Hua quickly slipped her hand away.

The screenwriter stood awkwardly to the side, forcing a smile, "Huahua, put this aside. Take it if you want a drink. I'll go buy you some if it gets cold."

Jiang Hua knew that she had barely spoken a few words to the screenwriter, so this sudden display of concern seemed rather fake.

"Huahua, I've acted opposite you before, and your acting is really great."

"Let's draw, let's draw. Want to have dinner together tonight? It's on me."

"draw……"

Jiang Hua responded to the noisy group of staff with a cold and sharp gaze.

A swarm of staff members fawned over Jiang Hua, turning the once inconspicuous Jiang Hua into the object of everyone's flattery.

Jiang Hua spotted Su Wenwen in the crowd, pushed through the crowd, and affectionately took Su Wenwen's arm, saying, "Wenwen, I missed you so much this morning."

Su Wenwen then pretended to be sullen and said, "I miss you too, you woman who forgets her friends for the sake of a pretty face."

"Haha, Wenwen, you're the best! Let's go over the lines again." Jiang Hua pulled Su Wenwen to a simple stool on the set and they started going over the lines seriously.

The next scene was between Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen. So after the makeup artist finished their makeup, they heard, "Filming has started, actors, get into position immediately."

The director, holding a megaphone, shouted, "Action!"

"Did you touch my things?" Jiang Hua stared at Su Wenwen with angry eyes.

"I said I didn't, how can you be so unreasonable?" Su Wenwen retorted.

"If it moved, it moved. Why are you lying like this?" Jiang Hua snatched the book that Su Wenwen was reading from her hands and threw it on the ground.

With a loud "bang," the anger between the two women was unleashed.

...

"Cut!" The director stood up and said, "Su Wenwen and Hua Hua both acted well. This is how you should act. Everyone should learn from them."

After the director finished speaking, perhaps to echo his words or to curry favor with the young mistress of the Gu family, a round of applause and praise erupted from below.

Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen smiled at each other. In reality, they were still such good friends. Even if they really quarreled, it was only a matter of a second before they made up the next second.

...

Two weeks later, the thick stack of scripts had reached its final page. There were times when they filmed until the early hours of the morning, and times when they were exposed to the scorching sun. Jiang Hua couldn't help but sigh, filming is really much harder than being a model.

"Everyone come over for a group photo, filming's wrapped up for today!" the director shouted excitedly.

With a click, this photo documented the growth of Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen in their first drama, making it exceptionally meaningful.

In the photo, Jiang Hua is next to Su Wenwen. Although she is not the most stunning one, she is as pure and charming as water.

"Thank you for your hard work these past few days." The director walked over to Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen.

"It's not hard work for the director, everyone has been working very hard these past few days," Jiang Hua said with a smile to the director beside her.

Jiang Hua particularly enjoys filming time because she is very happy and carefree when she is with Su Wenwen.

"We're getting ready for a celebration party. Are you two, the two main actors, coming?" the director added. "Everyone will be there."

"Let me know if you've thought it through and you want to come," the director said, before going to invite the other people.

Jiang Hua met Su Wenwen's gaze, as if seeking Su Wenwen's opinion. Best friends only need a glance to understand each other's thoughts, and Jiang Hua was especially grateful to have a close friend like Su Wenwen.

After filming wrapped, Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen realized how tough filming was. Even though it was only a few months, with their best friend by their side, even the toughest times would pass by.

The past two months have passed amidst the playful banter between Jiang Hua and Su Wenwen. However, Jiang Hua seems to have lost the sound of Gu Yiming's murmurs, feeling a void in her heart, and thus longing to see Gu Yiming as soon as possible.
