Gu Yiming was suspicious and didn't understand Jiang Shiwan's change. The bartender brought another glass of wine and placed it in front of Gu Yiming, but he didn't intend to drink it.
Firstly, he felt he should stop now; secondly, Jiang Shiwan was there.
If he gets really drunk and collapses, who knows what Jiang Hua might do.
Besides, he seemed to be reaching his limit; the liquor was really strong. He'd only had three cups. Luckily, his willpower was pretty good.
"Yiming..." A soft touch came from behind. Gu Yiming felt uncomfortable and tried to break free, his steps unsteady.
"Yiming, you're drunk. It's not safe for you to drive. Let me take you home." His arm was wrapped around hers, and the strong scent of perfume filled his nostrils. He resisted the urge to push her away.
"Um... thank you for your trouble..." Gu Yiming's eyes flashed with probing and inquiry. But Jiang Shiwan simply took the car and put him in the passenger seat. Then she got into the driver's seat herself.
Perhaps he was wrong...
Perhaps he had thought too badly of Jiang Shiwan. She was still alright, Gu Yiming secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiang Shiwan started the engine, and the car got on the road. The speed was neither fast nor slow.
"Please let me get there in a bit, thank you." Thinking that he might have misunderstood Jiang Shiwan, Gu Yiming spoke again, his tone much softer.
Jiang Shiwan paused, her gaze darkening. She couldn't do anything to Gu Yiming right now, but she already had a plan. She was waiting; once they arrived at Gu Yiming's house, she could escort him upstairs, and then…
By then, Gu Yiming wouldn't be able to deny it even if he wanted to. Jiang Shiwan gripped the steering wheel tightly.
...
It was night, pitch black all around. Even stretching out your hand wouldn't allow you to see anything. Occasionally, a faint light would appear.
Jiang Hua looked at the time on her phone screen and took a deep breath. It was already 11 p.m. There was still no word from Gu Yiming returning.
She couldn't help feeling a little worried, but mostly she was frustrated. She had called him, but all she heard was that cold, mechanical female voice. After trying for a long time, she finally gave up. Her eyes dimmed as time went on.
She didn't know how long she waited; it was so long that she almost fell asleep. She glanced at her phone screen again, and then she heard a car horn outside.
Jiang Hua froze, her pupils contracting. She didn't even have time to put on her coat before opening the door barefoot. "Gu Yiming, you finally..."
Before she could even utter the words "I'm back," she saw a woman get out of Gu Yiming's car.
She frowned, glancing at the license plate. It was indeed Gu Yiming's car. But why was a woman getting out?
Her heart skipped a beat. A bad feeling crept over her, and she put on her shoes and stepped forward.
The woman's back looked so familiar. Jiang Hua narrowed her eyes, a hint of danger in them. She suddenly gave a mocking smile. So Gu Yiming hadn't come home all night because he was with Jiang Shiwan. She wondered if her appearance was appropriate.
"Just give him to me." Jiang Hua was never one to back down. The fact that her man was with other women was something she hated, but that didn't mean she would be so understanding as to give up her room for them to continue. If she did, she wouldn't be Jiang Hua.
Jiang Shiwan's eyes were full of tenderness. She had finally managed to calm Gu Yiming down and was thinking of taking him to the villa. Suddenly, everything went black, and she looked up at Jiang Hua with displeasure.
"Yiming is drunk."
She didn't intend to give Gu Yiming to her. Jiang Hua looked at Jiang Shiwan's arm around Gu Yiming, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. As a woman, she naturally knew what Jiang Shiwan was planning. She withdrew her hand, which had been hovering in mid-air, and sneered, "Drunk? So you're mistaking you for me? Thank you so much for bringing him back, sister. Leave the rest to me; it's too much trouble for you. After all, you and Yiming..."
"It's nothing."
Jiang Hua, without caring whether Jiang Shiwan would give it to him or not, directly put her hand on Gu Yiming's other arm, forcefully pulled him over, and at the same time viciously shoved Jiang Shiwan's arm around Gu Yiming.
Gu Yiming pulled away from Jiang Shiwan's grasp without surprise. "You... sister, you can't do this." She was somewhat exasperated, and her eyes instantly reddened. She looked utterly pitiful.
"It's getting late and the wind is strong. If you want to enjoy the breeze, go ahead. But you should take care of your skin. Tsk tsk, look at you now, your skin is so rough." Jiang Hua turned around, leaving her with her back, and ignored her. She then led Gu Yiming directly into the villa.
Jiang Shiwan could only watch them disappear from sight without saying a word, a sense of melancholy welling up inside her. She wouldn't stay here; Jiang Hua was ruthless, to be honest. She gritted her teeth; there was nothing she could do for the moment, so she had no choice but to leave.
...
In the dimly lit room, Jiang Hua threw Gu Yiming heavily onto the bed. Seeing him still fast asleep fueled her anger.
"Sleep with you my foot! You must have done something terrible in your past life to have offended a jinx like you." Jiang Hua brandished her fist, and although she was angry inside, she still patiently straightened his clothes and wiped his face.
As she was about to leave to make him some hangover tea, her wrist was suddenly pulled away, and a wave of panic washed over her. Behind her was a strong body. She frantically tried to get up but couldn't. Feeling something strange in her abdomen, she blushed.
Beast...
"Drawing..." She looked up, puzzled, and felt a moist sensation on her lips. She didn't want anything to happen between them; she hadn't wanted it when she saw him standing with Jiang Shiwan. Besides, he didn't look like someone who had just been drunk at all...
Her desperate struggles only resulted in Gu Yiming's increasingly aggressive thrusts.
She was completely and unexpectedly taken by him. She gritted her teeth in pain, gripping the sheets beneath her. Her forehead was covered in sweat.
"Get lost, Gu Yiming!" she yelled, her eyes bloodshot. But Gu Yiming ignored her and continued his vigorous work on her.
"Be good. Don't move." Gu Yiming sensed her nervousness and felt a pang of tenderness in his heart, so he subconsciously softened his movements. He kissed her earlobe with his thin lips.
Jiang Hua felt like her body was about to fall apart and fainted before Gu Yiming finally released her.
"Did you take your 'medicine'?" Jiang Hua couldn't help but ask, puzzled. Gu Yiming seemed different tonight. She could sense a hint of resentment beneath his passionate enthusiasm.
Gu Yiming stiffened and glared at her. "You can still work until tomorrow night even without taking 'medicine'."
Jiang Hua closed her eyes in fright. "You're not allowed to smile at Qi Yanxu anymore, not even if it's fake."
Gu Yiming warned her, and she wondered how he knew, but he seemed to have read her mind. Just as she was about to speak, he lay down, wrapped his arms around her waist, buried his head in her neck, sighed, and said helplessly, "Sleep."
Seeing his expression, Jiang Hua didn't dare ask any more questions and simply closed her eyes. Perhaps she was too tired, for she soon began to breathe evenly.
