"No, you've misunderstood." Gu Yiming immediately denied it, it seemed there was an explanation to be given.
Hearing what had just been said, Jiang Hua wasn't so easily fooled. She tried to appear calm, but her words were accusatory: "Is it a misunderstanding? I heard everything. She asked you to divorce me, and you agreed. I'm asking you, do you want to dump me like you dumped her?" If he dared to say yes, he was dead. Jiang Hua stared at him threateningly.
"You misheard me, no, I wasn't listening carefully. I was busy signing documents and didn't know what she was saying," Gu Yiming denied as he walked over and pulled Jiang Hua into his arms. "I don't love anyone but you. I could never love anyone else."
"Seeing how sincere you are, I'll believe you this once." Jiang Hua hugged him affectionately, deliberately putting on a show for Jiang Shiwan.
This blatant display of affection is clearly meant to infuriate her. Jiang Shiwan asked irritably, "You just promised to divorce her, but now that she's here, you've gone back on your word. No way, you have to divorce her."
"I didn't say anything. I don't even know I said those things. I was just fed up, so I just made random comments. Don't dwell on these useless words." Gu Yiming said impatiently, his head aching just hearing her speak.
There was a constant commotion at the door. Actually, not only were the assistant and Xu Wei eavesdropping, but other employees had also joined in the gossip, crowding around the door to discuss what was happening inside the office. They were all curious about who would ultimately win his heart, given their boss's charm.

Rubbing his temples and looking at the two of them with a headache, Gu Yiming decided that comforting his wife was the most important thing. He put his arm around Jiang Hua and said softly, "Don't take it to heart. If you get angry, I'll feel bad for you."
"But she's being unreasonable and deliberately trying to annoy me," Jiang Hua said in a coquettish voice, which gave Gu Yiming goosebumps.
Not to mention Jiang Shiwan, who was most agitated by this. She was trembling with anger, her rage finding no outlet. In a fit of rage, she smashed the ceramic coffee cup in her hand, startling the two people embracing her. However, they quickly calmed down, as they had seen it so many times that they were no longer bothered by it.
Jiang Hua rolled her eyes at her and sneered, "That's all you've got. You throw a tantrum the moment things don't go your way. What a disgrace." Her expression was full of contempt. Gu Yiming shrugged, indicating that he didn't want to get involved.
"You guys have gone too far! You take advantage of my crippled leg to show off your love in front of me and even mock me!" Jiang Shiwan accused first. She didn't even consider who was deliberately trying to cause trouble.
"I can't be bothered with you, you lunatic." Jiang Hua arrogantly pulled Gu Jin behind the desk, made him sit in the chair, and sat on his lap. She wanted to annoy Jiang Shiwan and show her her true colors.
"Ah...you guys are so shameless! Gu Yiming, if you keep indulging her like this, I'm really going to jump off this building!" Jiang Shiwan turned around and went to the French windows again, beginning her threat. Gu Yiming was worried something might happen and tried to get up to stop her, but Jiang Hua gave him a sidelong glance, telling him to leave it to her. She was there to help him deal with this woman.
"Yes, hurry up and jump, jump now! If you don't jump, I'll have to worry all the time that you'll come and take my things. Once you're dead, I can finally relax," she analyzed excitedly, warning Gu Yiming not to laugh. "Whether it's career or love, I'll have one less competitor. Startled, Jiang Shiwan shifted her wheelchair around a few times. She didn't want to slip and fall. She hadn't intended to die; she had only threatened Gu Yiming. Who would have thought that Jiang Hua would suddenly appear and even wish for her to jump off the building? It infuriated her.
"Don't be so smug. I won't let you get away with this. You want me to die? I'll make sure you don't. I'll settle the score with you sooner or later." Thinking she had made a threat, Jiang Shiwan pushed her wheelchair away in a sorry state.
"Finally gone. I knew she was faking it. Trying to pull a fast one on me? No way." Jiang Hua looked triumphant.
"Mischievous" Gu Yiming chuckled and gently tapped her nose, his eyes full of doting affection.
Jiang Shiwan is such a nuisance, always causing so much trouble. Could this woman do something bad to Jiang Hua? Gu Yiming's heart skipped a beat. He was also troubled as to why he had provoked her in the first place. Thinking of the harsh words she had uttered before leaving, he felt a chill. Although he was not afraid of her, he couldn't protect Jiang Hua at all times.
"I can hire a few bodyguards for Huahua so I can feel at ease," Gu Yiming thought, his eyes slightly darkening. "Huahua, how about I pick out a few bodyguards for you so they can protect you? That way I'll feel more at ease too." He spoke softly, without the ruthless decisiveness of someone who had been in the business world for a long time; instead, he displayed the tenderness that was unique to Jiang Hua.
