After distributing some equipment, everyone agreed that the golden armor should be given to Master Gu, since they wouldn't have been able to finish the battle without his leadership. Jiang Hua echoed this sentiment.
But Gu insisted on not accepting it, which made Jiang Hua a little worried. Who should she give it to?
[Team] [Yi Gu]: Why don't you take it?
[Team] [Silent Reading]: Agreed, after all, he's the guild leader!
[Team] [Emperor's Little Dwarf]: That's fine too, it's all the same anyway! Her cute voice makes people very happy.
[Team] [Di Ruhua]: Oh dear, no way! It's not like I did it all by myself. I think... how about we put it in the guild's warehouse, and whoever needs it can just take it? That would be a guild perk! *?(?′?`?)?
[Team] [Emperor's Little Dwarf]: Great! I think this is a good suggestion!
[Team] [The Emperor of the Dwarfs]: Hmm, maybe we can recruit more people to our guild.
[Team] [Silent Reading]: I have no objection.
Jiang Hua felt relieved seeing that everyone agreed. But... what about Master Gu? He's not in our gang, so he doesn't need anything from our gang, right? Maybe I should take this opportunity to invite him to join our gang...?
Jiang Hua was making a clever plan in her mind. Just as she was struggling with how to bring it up, Yi Gu suddenly said that he had something to do and had to log off first. He said he would run the dungeon again when he had time next time.
Jiang Hua felt a little disappointed. "Hey, I haven't even asked yet, why did she go offline?"
Hey, he just said next time?! So we can play games together again next time? That's awesome! Maybe I shouldn't ask yet. Let's play games with him more often and strengthen our friendship. Wouldn't that be more secure?
Okay, it's decided then!
After saying goodbye to Jiang Hua and the gang members, she noticed it was already 5:30.
"Anyone want to have dinner with this beautiful girl?" Jiang Hua asked her roommates, waving her hand.
The roommates fell silent.
"Drawing? Drawing!"
"draw……"
Jiang Hua lifted her somewhat heavy head and rubbed her temples. What was wrong with her today? She kept hearing someone call her "draw" in her dreams. Maybe it was because she heard Gu Yiming call her that when she was playing games with him that day. Hearing that name involuntarily reminded her of Gu Yiming. She wondered how he was doing now, whether he was still that icy guy. She hoped he was doing well…
They sat next to each other for three years in high school. In the first year, Gu Yiming was a super cold and aloof iceberg. He didn't talk much and wasn't very enthusiastic towards people. When Jiang Hua first sat next to Gu Yiming and greeted him, she smiled warmly at him and even took the initiative to help him organize his textbooks. Whenever Jiang Hua brought food, she would happily share it with him. Jiang Hua was like a little sun standing next to him, but he was still very cold. Jiang Hua even wondered if she had done something wrong to offend him.
It took Jiang Hua a year and a half before Gu Yiming started talking to her properly. Well… properly talking to her meant that Gu Yiming would occasionally smile at her, share snacks with her, and sometimes help her with her homework. A sparkle of joy welled up in Jiang Hua's heart. Thinking back to high school life, it seemed so simple and beautiful—the afternoon sunlight and the books and workbooks on her desk every day—it was a pure, simple kind of happiness.
Jiang Hua wondered how her high school classmates were doing. Thinking back, everyone seemed to be doing well, which made her happy. Memories of high school warmed her heart. She turned over, deciding not to sleep anymore. Checking her phone, she saw it was already 6:30. She quietly got out of bed, quickly brushed her teeth, and washed her face. She wanted to check if Gu Dashen was online while it was still early, and finalize the guild joining arrangement with him as soon as possible. If she waited too long, they wouldn't have time to train together. Anyway, it was all the same whether she faced the consequences or not.
Jiang Hua encouraged herself, "A true warrior is not afraid of hardship. Jiang Hua, go for it!"
Jiang Hua looked at herself in the mirror and gave herself a bright, sunny morning smile.
Jiang Hua quickly logged into the game, scrolling through her fingers. She checked her friends list, but the legendary player, Yi Gu, wasn't online. "That makes sense," she thought, "it's only seven o'clock; he probably isn't up this early." Seeing that she had plenty of time, Jiang Hua decided to do her regular quests. She controlled her character, interacted with NPCs, accepted several quests, traversed various scenes, fought a few monsters, and obtained some quest items. Just as she finished the regular quests, she received a private message from "March Blaze."
[Chat] [Flirtatious Bookworm]: Little Drawer~ Why are you up so early today?
[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: I got up a little early today, but I'm still a bit sleepy.
[Chat] [Di Ruhua: Why are you up so early too?]
[Chat] [Flirtatious Bookworm]: I'm working hard to level up, you know. I want to get 'Alice's Miracle' with you, it's a couple's scepter.
[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: Why are you coming with me? I can get the scepter myself.
[Chat] [Flirtatious Bookworm]: How can that be? Look at me, I'm doing everything myself to level up. I originally wanted to hire someone to help me level up, but then I thought about how my sincerity towards you can't be measured by money, so I went online and did it myself. See how good I am?
[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: ...
[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: Um... I have to log off now, I have to rush to my early class, let's chat again when we have time!
