Chapter 93 The harder you work, the luckier you get

When Ji Kexin saw Jiang Hua scolding her boyfriend for being a jerk, she felt that having Jiang Hua as a good roommate was worth it, and that boyfriends didn't matter anymore. Jiang Hua noticed that Ji Kexin's mood had improved considerably, and saw that the rabbit, Dudu, had finished eating on the lawn.

She said to Ji Kexin, who was watching the sunset, "Kexin, how about we put Dudu back in its cage in the dorm? I think it's eaten enough. Then we can go out to eat. This time it's on me!"

Ji Kexin knew that Jiang Hua usually stayed in her dormitory and didn't spend much money, so she smiled and said to Jiang Hua, "Where would you get the money to treat me to food? What if it's dirty money earned from murder and arson? I wouldn't dare to spend it."

Jiang Hua looked at Ke Xin with disdain and said, "Even murder and arson are money earned from killing you. I'm just acting as your sparring partner, that's how I earn money!"

Ji Kexin immediately put on her dramatic act: "Oh no, oh no, I feel tightness in my chest and a bit dizzy. Did you give me some kind of sleeping potion?"

Jiang Hua looked at Ji Kexin's dramatic act and thought to herself: This woman is hopeless!

Seeing that Jiang Hua's loving gaze towards intellectually disabled children was no longer convincing, Ji Kexin asked Jiang Hua seriously, "What are we going to eat?"

Jiang Hua said with a mischievous grin, "How about we stroll along that food street and eat our way through it?"

Ji Kexin thought it was a good idea, so the two headed towards their destination. They ate oden, crayfish, and grilled squid. Jiang Hua suddenly remembered a sentence she had seen online the other day, which said that eating desserts could lift one's spirits.

Without a word, Jiang Hua dragged Ji Kexin around looking for dessert shops. Ji Kexin was completely bewildered as Jiang Hua led her around. It wasn't until they reached the entrance of a dessert shop that Ji Kexin came to her senses; it turned out that Jiang Hua wanted to take her to eat desserts.

There were lots of delicious treats at the dessert shop. Jiang Hua and Ji Kexin ordered a huge amount of desserts, chatting with the owner while they ate. During their conversation, Ji Kexin mentioned her breakup, and the owner, thinking it was something serious, started talking about her own puppy love experience from her school days.

The young woman said that back then, she thought that teenage relationships could last a lifetime, since she was young and hadn't met many people, so she couldn't easily draw conclusions. In this day and age, a boyfriend cheating means he doesn't love you enough. Since he doesn't love you, why waste so much time on him? You should focus on living a beautiful and refined life.

Ji Kexin watched Jiang Hua listen with great interest and secretly slipped some money into Jiang Hua's bag. Ji Kexin knew that although Jiang Hua's family wasn't poor, she felt a little embarrassed to have someone treat her to so much food. They chatted for a while until they had almost finished the desserts, and were even considering going for hot pot. However, they were too full and decided to go back to their dorm first and have hot pot another day.

After saying goodbye to the girl, Ji Kexin said to Jiang Hua in a serious tone, "Jiang Hua, after listening to what that girl said today, I've decided to let go of that scumbag. I should work hard now, and I'll have everything I want in the future."

Looking at Ji Kexin like this, Jiang Hua said happily, "Yes! You must strive to live beautifully. The harder you work, the luckier you get!"

As they passed Bridge A, Ji Kexin shouted loudly towards the sea, "Ji Kexin! You must strive to live the life you want, and don't be sad because of those people!"

Jiang Hua also said to the seaside, "We should all strive to live beautifully and not worry about those trivial matters!"

Looking at Jiang Hua's serious expression, Ji Kexin smiled and said, "Jiang Hua, it's so good to have you. We should always be good friends and good roommates!" After saying that, Ji Kexin hugged Jiang Hua tightly.

Jiang Hua hugged Ji Kexin tightly and said, "Kexin, no matter what difficulties or sad things you encounter in the future, you must tell me. I will be your strong shield!" As she spoke, Jiang Hua let go of her hand, rolled up her sleeves, and pretended to have muscles.

Looking at Jiang Hua, Ji Kexin couldn't help but laugh: "Hey, with your small frame, you think you can be my strong support? You're overestimating yourself."

Jiang Hua said defiantly, "Hmph, don't underestimate me, I've studied Sanda (Chinese kickboxing)!"

Ji Kexin, of course, did not believe it: "Then, show me your Sanda qualification certificate, otherwise I won't believe it."

Jiang Hua looked embarrassed by the question and stammered, "Emmm... well, what's so interesting about that qualification certificate? I'm prettier, why don't you look at me?"

"You don't actually have any, do you, Jiang Hua? Who do you think you can fool with your amateurish skills?" Ji Kexin immediately realized that Jiang Hua was joking with her.

Jiang Hua sighed and said, "Hey, why won't you cooperate? I just wanted to pretend for a little while, but you won't even give me a chance."

Ji Kexin smiled and said, "Okay, okay, dear Miss Jiang Hua, I heard you know Sanda (Chinese kickboxing). Can you protect me and be my strong support in the future?"

Jiang Hua smiled with satisfaction and said, "That's more like it. You know your stuff. Let's go back to school."

The two happily returned to school. Determined to study hard, Ji Kexin picked up her physics book and started reading as soon as she got back to her dorm. Jiang Hua, seeing that it was still early, took out her computer and logged into the game. As soon as she logged in, she received an invitation to run a dungeon.

Jiang Hua was just about to contact him when he unexpectedly sent an invitation so quickly—what a coincidence! Jiang Hua then followed Yi Gu through dungeons, always keeping the loot for himself and his guild members instead of picking it up. Naturally, there were plenty of flatterers. A player named Yunxiao praised Yi Gu as the best person in the entire server, selfless and altruistic. Jiang Hua thought to herself, "If someone else did that to you, wouldn't you praise them the same way? These people are ridiculous."
