Chapter 1 (Final Chapter)

Chapter 1 (Final Chapter)

Ling Wei, who was transparent, floated in the air, looking down at the sleeping woman in the luxurious ward below. That woman was herself from the original world.

After traveling through five worlds, I've returned to where I started.

She raised an eyebrow: "System? Why did you stop?"

"Oh ho ho ho~" the system said cheerfully, "Weiwei, the last world was originally a critical point in the decline of that dynasty. According to the original trajectory, internal and external troubles, plus the Little Ice Age disaster, would have led to a turbulent and divided end."

And the result? Not only did you stabilize the situation, but you also expanded your territory, laying the foundation for centuries of prosperity. The positive energy you brought was off the charts—a perfect score!

Ling Wei understood, and then asked, "What about those versions of me in other parallel universes?"

She remembered the system mentioning that there were many Ling Weis struggling in their own destinies.

System: "The Heavenly Dao has spoken. You have made a great contribution this time. It asks if you are willing to share a portion of your essence and origin with your counterparts in other parallel worlds."

Most of them suffered tragic fates because of congenital deficiencies in their vital essence. If they received even a wisp of vital essence to replenish it, they could return to normal and escape their original tragic trajectory.

Ling Wei didn't hesitate: "Okay."

System: "Alright! But let me make this clear: after the essence is split, when you return to this original world, you might not have the same protagonist-like luck as before, right? Life will return to normal difficulty."

Ling Wei looked into the ward. This was not an ordinary hospital, but a top-notch sanatorium on a private island, with the blue sea and silver sand outside the window.

Several men, each with a distinct temperament yet equally outstanding, sat or stood by the hospital bedside. The atmosphere between them was subtle, yet there was an unspoken understanding between them.

It's like we're jointly guarding a precious treasure that we absolutely cannot lose again.

Just then, the ward door was pushed open, and a tall, upright man walked in.

He wore a well-tailored black suit, his face was strikingly handsome, yet there was an underlying melancholy and anxiety between his brows.

He walked straight to the bedside, leaned down, and with restrained strength, gently pinched Ling Wei's chin with his long, slender fingers. His voice was low and hoarse:

"A heartless woman... tricked me into signing that kind of contract and then ran away? Pretended to be asleep to avoid me? Hmm?"

He tightened his grip slightly, yet feared he might actually hurt her. "When you wake up... I'll settle this score with you. In this life, and the next, you'll never escape."

The system cautiously asked Ling Wei's consciousness, "(⊙o⊙) It seems there are quite a few creditors here, and they're not easy to deal with. How about we live peacefully in this world for now, and I'll help you divide your essence after you die of old age?"

It then offered another tempting offer: "By the way! The Heavenly Dao has officially extended an offer, inviting you to become a long-term partner! Once you have lived out your natural life in this world, you will receive a formal position, possess a near-infinite lifespan, travel through countless worlds, and enjoy superb salary and benefits!"

Ling Wei listened, her gaze sweeping over the men by the bed and then over the seemingly luxurious but heavily guarded island scenery outside the window. "No need to wait."

Her expression was one of eager anticipation. "Let's split the essence. Perfect. I was feeling a bit bored before because everything was going too smoothly. This way, it sounds more interesting."

The system seal clapped: "Wow~ As expected of Weiwei! You go ahead and get busy, I'll handle the splitting here right away. I'll come pick you up after you're done here~ I need to go train the newbies!"

"You're also in charge of training?"

"Hmm~" The system's voice was smug. "Thanks to you, our performance was off the charts this time, and I got promoted. Now I'm in charge of training the next generation of Heavenly Dao Messengers. I'll give you VIP access later!"

As it spoke, Ling Wei felt a gentle force being softly drawn from her transparent spirit body, transforming into sparkling starlight that dissipated into the void and went to those parallel worlds that needed help.

At the same time, the remaining primordial essence slowly sank into the body below.

The eyelashes of the person on the hospital bed suddenly trembled.

Then, those eyes, which had been closed for so long, slowly opened.

Deep in his eyes, there was first a bewilderment that was not yet fully focused, which was then replaced by a familiar light, reflecting the man's handsome face, which was filled with shock and ecstasy.

Author's Closing Remarks:

My dearest babies, I've decided to finish this book!!

I chose to do this not because of the data (although I really love studying data), and it has absolutely nothing to do with supporting the story!!! Basically, most of them will return after each world ends; I know that in my mind!!!

I chose to end it because I felt I hadn't written enough. Sometimes I wanted to extend the storyline, but when I looked at the number of chapters, within the framework of this quick transmigration novel, I still didn't dare to take the risk.

So I've decided to just write down all the later inspirations individually (I've seen some of the worlds suggested by you guys, like Beast World and esports, I'll write them all down when I have the chance!).

I've read all your book reviews. After the second world ended, some readers mentioned that the romance between the male and female leads developed too quickly and asked if I could write more about their relationship.

Yes, Madam, in the third world I had more emotional entanglements.

After the third world ended, some readers thought the New Year's theme was really good, so they asked me if they could have some more.

Yes, Madam, here comes the fourth world's gentle, restrained, and old-fashioned male protagonist.

After the fourth world ended, some readers felt the whole story was too bland.

Yes, madam, here comes a female-dominated political intrigue story with twists and turns and suspense.

—Then I discovered that the number of readers had halved, the book was mostly about political intrigue and didn't match the title, it was off-topic, damn it!!!

My neck wants to have a passionate, ambiguous tug-of-war with the roof beam!

(Just kidding)

As for why I didn't listen to the baby's opinion about the second world...

Because nobody was watching back then, hahaha!!

Many babies have seen me scream, so this is what I really want to say—

Thank you so much!

As someone who loves studying data, I actually planned to end the story after the second world ended.

Later, with more and more encouragement from children and rising ratings, the book reached 400,000 words, and now it's almost 700,000 words.

This book, this series, is not only the culmination of my hard work, but also our shared memories.

Thank you.

((;′Д`) I'm clearly a web novel author, but at this crucial moment of writing my author's conclusion, my vocabulary is so limited that all I can say is thank you. It's really lame.)

In addition, I really want to say:

Are there any kind-hearted screenwriters reading this?! Do you have any ideas for adapting this into a short drama?! Because it's a quick transmigration story, it seems no screenwriter is willing to help me! Please help me!!

(Hmm?) (It seems like my account was just taken over by some greedy person.)

Ahem, the following is an explanation about writing the book next.

Many fans said they wanted to follow me, and I'm really grateful, but I also need to criticize myself.

I'm purely greedy for money. Before I start writing, I check the charts and write whatever's trending. This makes me unsure of what kind of stories I'll write just to make money.

I will include a note in the first chapter of each new book to avoid potential pitfalls. Although I know that having a base of traffic from my previous books is very beneficial to my new books, if I hear comments like, "I've been following your last book, and this is what you're showing me?", I'd rather the book flop.

So you can judge by the text and not by the person, that's fine, I have my pride (slaps myself hard on the left cheek).

But there are also things I absolutely insist on in my writing, similar to Oda's approach to Luffy in One Piece:

First, my female lead, if there is a popularity vote, it doesn't matter how the other characters change, she must be the most popular, her throne is unshakeable.

Second, my heroine may suffer and experience setbacks, but at the end of the story, she will definitely reap a huge "treasure," which does not refer to gaining a man's love.

Third, there can be multiple storylines, but all of them will converge on the female lead, who is the center.

If I can't do the above three things, it's because I'm incompetent.

Regarding the male lead: Physical purity is a must, and while mental purity cannot be guaranteed, he is absolutely normal. The kind of brainless carbon-based creature who sees the female lead sick and about to hang herself and tells her to stop pretending will never become my male lead.

Regarding the villains: I'm a bit too soft on them, and you might be able to tell that. There are some worlds where I lost the female villains while writing them.

But I convinced myself with the "filming wrap-up" joke, imagining my villainous character complaining to me: "Look, they don't like me."

Then I wrapped her in a small blanket and fed her like crazy, telling her: "Baby~ you are a projection of some people in the real world. Mom relies on you to create conflict and make money."

He's been appeased.

So I'll try to be ruthless in writing villains next.

above.

It doesn't matter if the books aren't suitable; as long as you're still reading and I'm still writing, we will eventually meet again.

...

Until we meet again!
