Chapter 494 The Imperial Princess and the Rebel Leader 7

Chapter 494 The Imperial Princess and the Rebel Leader 7

As the leader of the rebels, Lance had to bear the tears and scars of countless victims.

He never had a choice.

He could only continue to lurk beside the princess, waiting for an opportunity to disarm her mecha.

The news that the princess's starship had been attacked reached Alpha Star. The old Duke expressed his condolences in the communication and specially sent a small team of messengers to the starship to meet the princess in advance.

Said to be a messenger.

But anyone with a discerning eye could see that these muscular, fierce-looking men were well-trained military soldiers.

Outside the princess's room, the maids were pacing anxiously.

It was not until they saw Lance's figure slowly approaching that their eyes lit up.

"What's wrong?" Lance glanced at the tightly closed door. The low-pressure atmosphere inside seemed to be able to come out through the door.

The maid whispered, "The messenger is already waiting outside, but Her Highness hasn't gotten up yet. We just reminded her, but Her Highness got angry."

Lance nodded in understanding: "I'll call her."

The maids breathed a sigh of relief.

The chief guard is more tolerant of scolding, so it doesn't matter if he gets scolded by the princess a few times.

Lance didn't sleep last night.

His mind was suddenly filled with the red, lustful look on Cha Jiu's face as she swallowed the wine, and then with her domineering and proactive kiss on him.

But even more were the homes and corpses burned by the fire, and the cries and screams of countless people.

Lust and restlessness disappeared.

Only endless sorrow remains.

He gathered his thoughts, regained his composure, and answered the phone at the door.

The communicator beeped for ten seconds before it was connected.

A nasal, impatient voice, as if still asleep, rang out: "Get lost."

Then the call was ruthlessly disconnected.

Lance didn't get discouraged and pressed it a second time.

This time the people inside were even more angry, "I said get lost, don't you understand what I'm saying?"

The maids held their breath and looked at Lance with sympathy.

Lance's expression remained unchanged as he spoke, "Your Highness, the messenger is already waiting outside. It will be too late if you don't get up now."

His voice was low and melodious, like the low sound of some kind of metal vibrating.

There was silence for a few seconds on the other end of the communicator, as if the person was trying to identify his voice.

"Carlos"

"It's me, Your Highness."

After a while, Cha Jiu said, "Come in."

The maids were surprised.

Lance's eyes softened slightly, and then he waited for the sensor door to open and stepped in.

Cha Jiu was still lying in the soft silk goose down quilt, feeling sleepy.

Hearing the familiar footsteps of military boots approaching, she hummed lazily.

"Those idiots are on board the starship"

"Yes, your highness."

Lance came over, took the communication device from Cha Jiu's hand, and put it back in place. Then he covered her with a blanket to hide her exposed round shoulders.

"I really want to ask the Zerg to attack again and eat all those idiots." Cha Jiu finally sat up from the bed and looked at the glass of red juice in Lance's hand with sleepy eyes.

"What is this? It looks disgusting." She said in disgust.

"Carrot juice." Lance put the juice on her bedside and explained, "Drinking it can relieve hangover headaches and make you feel better."

He probably guessed why Cha Jiu was so irritable when he woke up today.

One is the glass of whiskey last night. If someone who is not used to drinking suddenly drinks so much liquor, he will definitely have a headache at night.

Then there was the envoy sent by the old duke, who was clearly here to monitor the starship and wanted someone to go and receive him early in the morning. Who would be happy to do that?

Before Cha Jiu fully recovered from his sleep, he yawned and said, "I'm not a rabbit, why should I drink carrot juice?"

Lance, wearing a neat uniform, stood not far from the bed, staring at Cha Jiu who was sitting on the bed.

Her eye mask was pushed to the top of her head, just enough to lift up two symmetrical and arched tufts of hair, just like two rabbit ears.

The pair of icy eyes were covered with a layer of soft mist with fuzzy edges due to lack of sleep, which made her look very dull. When she yawned slightly, tears sparkled at the end of her eyes, and the tip of her nose was stained with light pink, which made her skin look even whiter.

It's just like a rabbit that has just transformed into a human form.

Although this rabbit can kill a high-level alien insect with two swords when it is awake.

Thinking of this, a faint smile flickered in Lance's eyes, but soon faded.

Cha Jiu didn't notice his change. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking for her shoes on the empty floor.

Lance walked over and picked up the pink plush slipper from the corner at the end of the bed. Then he knelt on one knee in front of Cha Jiu, held her slender white ankle and put the shoe on.

Cha Jiu let him do what he wanted, with a thoughtful expression.

When he was about to stand up, she grabbed his tie and forced him to bend down in front of her.

"Why are you so active today?" She narrowed her eyes and examined Lance in front of her, "You are being so attentive for no reason... Have you betrayed me or are you planning to do so?"

Lance shuddered inwardly.

"Look at how nervous you are. I'm just kidding."

Cha Jiu's expression suddenly changed from fierce to gentle, and he looked at him with a smile.

"How could I doubt you? You have been protecting my mother since she was ten years old, until she entrusted my safety to you before she died. Carlos, you are the person I trust most besides my mother, you will definitely not betray me, right?"

"...Of course." Lance felt very uncomfortable.

Cha Jiu patted his shoulder soothingly, then called someone in to help her change clothes.

As for the glass of carrot juice, she didn't even touch it.

Lance took a look with a dim look in his eyes, and silently followed her steps as she left.

The envoys sent by the old Duke unexpectedly included his second son Allen and youngest daughter Jessica.

Allen is handsome, tall, with shiny short blond curly hair. His gentlemanly demeanor and perfect smile overshadow all the men present.

When he nodded, smiled and kissed the back of Cha Jiu's hand, the maids around him almost fainted with love in their eyes.

"Oh my god, I thought the chief guard was already very handsome, but I didn't expect Mr. Allen to be even better."

"The bodyguard has a better figure, but as for the looks... I choose Mr. Allen."

The maids were whispering to each other.

Lance had excellent hearing, so he naturally heard all of these words.

But he didn't bother to take it to heart.

But when he saw Allen's lips touching the back of Cha Jiu's hand, even through a layer of lace gloves, he found it extremely unsightly and had the urge to step forward and separate the two of them.
