Qin Xiao stared at Song Qi, then sat back down: "Then I'd better not change it."
"No problem." Song Qi ignored him, packed up her homework, and handed it to the group leader.
Many students in the class copy homework. As soon as Song Qi handed in his homework, a bunch of people crowded around him.
Song Qi frowned, but ignored it and returned to his seat, where he saw Qin Xiao pull out a handful of blank exam papers.
Qin Xiao casually straightened the test paper and looked up at Song Qi.
Song Qi smirked and gave a sneer.
"Xu Yangnuan".
"Hmm?" Song Qi glanced at Qin Xiao. "Is there something you need?"
"Don't make it too obvious."
Song Qi laughed: "You're trash yourself, and you're not prepared for others to laugh at you?"
She opened the book, paused, and glanced at Qin Xiao again.
"If you want to argue with me, you can try to outperform me in the exam. I believe in you, good luck."
She felt she had been very tactful in her speech; back in the military, she could make a grown man cry.
Qin Xiao stared at Song Qi's profile for a minute before turning his head away and clenching his fist.
When get out of class ended, Song Qi saw Gu Si walk in with a cup, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
"Yang Nuan, I made this milk tea myself. Would you like to try it?" Gu Si put the cup on the table, looked at Song Qi, and tugged at her school uniform.
Song Qi glanced at the cup, then took a bag of spicy strips from the drawer of the table. It was left here by the original female lead; it seemed to be some kind of super spicy internet-famous snack. "Do you eat spicy strips?"
"Eat." Gu Si nodded immediately.
Song Qi opened the bag and handed it to Gu Si.
Gu Si shoved the whole thing into her mouth in one go. Three seconds later, with her mouth agape and her expression contorted, she exclaimed, "Why is it so spicy?"
"I heard it's super spicy. Would you like some water?" Song Qi handed over the cup she had just brought over.
Gu Si didn't look, she just felt that her tongue was no longer her own, and her head was a little dizzy.
After gulping down a large mouthful of milk tea, I paused for a moment.
He glanced at the cup in his hand, trembled slightly, and then looked at Song Qi.
Song Qi looked at Gu Si with a hint of doubt: "What's wrong?"
"Nothing, this is for you... I drank it all, what are you going to do?"
"Go ahead and drink it. Isn't it very spicy? This will help balance it out." Song Qi reached out and ruffled Gu Si's hair. "Good girl."
Gu Si held the cup, looked at Song Qi, and trembled slightly: "Um, I have to go to class now, so I'll head back first."
"Um."
Gu Si nodded at Song Qi, then turned and ran away immediately.
"Host, how do you know there's something wrong with the water?"
Song Qi rested her chin on her hand: "The acting is terrible. I'm not stupid."
During lunch, Song Qi saw Gu Si, who looked pale.
Are you alright?
Gu Si shook her head: "My stomach just hurts a little."
"How about I take the afternoon off to rest?"
"I have math class this afternoon. If I miss it, I won't be able to catch up," Gu Si sighed.
Song Qi put his arm around Gu Si's shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Is it because of the milk tea?"
Gu Si's entire body tensed instantly, and she smiled at Song Qi, but the smile was somewhat stiff.
"Don't make this kind of thing yourself next time, it's easy to get diarrhea." Song Qi patted Gu Si's shoulder. "What do you want to eat? I'll go buy it. You go and save a seat."
Gu Si looked up into Song Qi's eyes and nodded obediently.
"Be good." Song Qi rubbed Gu Si's head.
The system, as an observer, felt a chill run down its spine.
When other people come to do the task, they usually get a quick slap in the face and have the female supporting character quickly disappear from the game.
This woman is being subjected to slow slicing; look how terrified that young girl is!
Song Qi finished serving the food, carrying the plate, and looked at Gu Si sitting obediently in her seat waiting for her. She smiled, walked over, and placed the plate in front of her: "You can go back and lie down for a while during your lunch break. You don't have to sleep on the table."
Gu Si nodded.
The two ate quietly, with Gu Si occasionally glancing up at Song Qi.
After finishing their meal, the two went their separate ways; one went to rest, and the other returned to work.
On the way back to class, Song Qi passed by the playground and saw Qin Xiao playing basketball alone on the court. Because of the school's regulations, Qin Xiao was the only one who dared to play basketball at this time.
Song Qi rubbed his fingers together, looking at Qin Xiao, who had missed several shots and was clearly not in good form: "What kind of ending are you hoping for?"
"The male and female leads have a happy ending and both get into A University."
"Him?" Song Qi laughed. "Isn't the protagonist's halo a bit too much?"
University A is the number one university in the country within this world's setting.
The system is silent.
Song Qi walked over with his hands in his pockets, then stood to the side with his arms crossed, watching.
Upon seeing Song Qi, Qin Xiao stumbled and, in his panic, threw the basketball.
Three things to avoid.
"Tsk." Song Qi clicked his tongue in disdain. "Want to play a round?"
"Good student, why aren't you going home to do your homework? What are you doing hanging out with me?"
Song Qi raised his chin slightly, his expression incredibly smug: "You don't dare? You can't beat me in studies, you can't beat me in a fight, are you afraid that you can't even beat me in basketball, given your obvious height advantage?"
Qin Xiao dribbled the basketball while looking at Song Qi.
"If you're scared, it means you still don't want to admit you're worthless. Why don't you study hard?" Song Qi felt like the gossipy old lady next door.
Qin Xiao stared at Song Qi for a few seconds, then revealed a look of sudden realization: "Why do you always urge me to study?"
"Because I feel that my deskmate can't be trash, it would lower my standards," Song Qi said casually. It was actually just a made-up reason, but judging from Qin Xiao's expression, he seemed to believe it.
This guy really is an idiot.
"Come on, let's have a fight."
Song Qi glanced at the time: "If I beat you, I hope you will study hard."
"What if I win?"
"I won't lose." Song Qi smiled, glancing down at his watch. "Class is about to start. Whoever scores three goals first wins, okay?"
"good."
Song Qi and Qin Xiao's basketball game quickly attracted a crowd.
Although Song Qi is about 30 centimeters shorter than Qin Xiao, her good jumping ability fills a certain gap, and she is also very agile and fast.
Coupled with the so-called "avoidance of suspicion" between men and women, Qin Xiao seemed somewhat restrained.
However, Song Qi didn't feel anything.
The score was 3 to 2, and Song Qi was 3. In order to save Qin Xiao's face, she let him win.
"I won." Song Qi spun the basketball, looking at Qin Xiao. "Can we go back and do our tests now?"
Qin Xiao took a deep breath: "Mm."
Song Qi returned the ball to Qin Xiao, feeling as if he had suddenly gained a son.
She glanced at her dirty hands, then at the time, and left.
Qin Xiao glanced at the onlookers around him: "What are you looking at? Aren't you going to class?"
Before long, the news that Song Qi and Qin Xiao had played basketball and that Song Qi had won spread throughout the entire grade.
However, no one believed that Song Qi won on her own merit; they all thought that Qin Xiao let her win.
Then, when Song Qi finished class, he was called to the office by the homeroom teacher.
"Xu Yangnuan, you mentioned last time that you wanted to change seats. I was thinking of having you sit with Yang Mo, is that alright? You two can help each other out." The homeroom teacher looked at Song Qi.
Yang Mo is the class's study committee member.
“I don’t need it anymore, I don’t want to change it,” Song Qi said.
