Chapter 173 She's No Longer Human (8)

Jiang Yin slightly avoided Song Qi's gaze and gave a soft hum.

“But I like you no matter what you look like.” Song Qi ruffled Jiang Yin’s hair.

Jiang Yin's ears turned red.

"Don't touch me! Remember, you're still in the pursuit stage!" Jiang Yin emphasized.

"Uncontrollably, my hand had its own thoughts."

Jiang Yin glared at Song Qi.

After finishing their meal, the two strolled around the mall.

Song Qi was keen on showing Jiang Yin all sorts of clothes to compare, as if he wanted to buy the entire mall.

"I have quite a lot of clothes at home," Jiang Yin said, indicating her refusal. She had only glanced at the prices a few times; one piece of clothing cost more than half a month's salary for her.

“Not many.” Song Qi gave Jiang Yin a look. “Your old clothes would take a whole mountain to fit them all.”

Jiang Yin was somewhat shocked; when had she become so extravagant?

Noticing Song Qi's practiced payment, she thought, "Hmm, it must be this person's fault." She glanced at Song Qi again, a hint of a smile in her eyes.

"I don't have anything to give you," Jiang Yin said from the side, fiddling with the hem of her clothes, still feeling a little awkward.

Song Qi left the delivery address and took Jiang Yin's hand, saying, "What's mine is yours, you don't need to return it."

"Why are you doing this again..."

“We’ve already held hands so many times today, it won’t hurt to hold hands a little longer.” Song Qi lowered her voice and leaned against Jiang Yin. “Or you can let me kiss you.”

Jiang Yin: ? ? ?

"Don't even think about it." Jiang Yin shrank back, looking at Song Qi warily.

"Then let me hold your hand."

Jiang Yin thought for a moment and said, "Okay."

After saying that, I felt something was off.

Song Qi frowned slightly as he looked at Jiang Yin: Sure enough, his wife was still the same wife. Although she looked a little fierce, she was still as silly as ever.

The two of them shopped all over the mall, and Song Qi spent money like water.

"Is your salary very high?" Jiang Yin asked, somewhat puzzled.

"I should be able to save up enough for a wife over five hundred years."

Jiang Yin, who hadn't saved much money in two hundred years: ...

"Don't worry, I've taken good care of you."

"Who wants you to support them!"

"You can support me."

Jiang Yin: ...

"This isn't something you should be thinking about while you're pursuing someone," Jiang Yin said, feigning seriousness.

Song Qi nodded: "I can't help it, looking at you makes me think of us sharing a bed and growing old together."

Jiang Yin: Why can we talk about sharing a bed and growing old together?

Jiang Yin glared at Song Qi again.

"Want some milk tea? I remember you have a particular fondness for all kinds of milk tea." Song Qi gestured to the milk tea shop ahead, where there was a long queue.

Jiang Yin shook her head: "That milk tea isn't good, let's go to the one over there."

Perhaps because of the change in their relationship, Jiang Yin spoke much more casually.

Since they were just out shopping, Song Qi didn't care how far they walked. As long as she could hold Jiang Yin's hand, she would be happy to walk around the world with her.

In the evening, Song Qi took Jiang Yin to the supermarket to prepare a sumptuous dinner for her.

She has been studying recipes for the past few days and has tried making them a few times, and finally she can eat them.

"You can cook?" Jiang Yin looked at Song Qi and felt that she didn't seem like someone who could cook.

“I didn’t know how before, but you’ve always cooked for me, so I wanted to cook something for you too.” Song Qi said, picking out vegetables.

Jiang Yin watched as Song Qi accurately found the food she liked in the supermarket, and she could hear her heart pounding.

"I really love the desserts you make, but unfortunately you're afraid I'll gain weight, so you only make them for me occasionally." After saying that, Song Qi gave Jiang Yin a resentful look.

Jiang Yin: ...

"What I make isn't as good as what you buy outside."

"No, your cooking is delicious, even better than what you can find outside."

Jiang Yin smiled more: "You're just lying to me into making it for you."

"So, did you manage to fool them?" Song Qi asked.

Jiang Yin snorted and flicked her fingers: "No, but seeing how much you want to eat it, I can make it for you to try next time."

"Okay." Song Qi smiled.

System NZ discovered that although Song Qi's sweet talk lacked sophistication and her vocabulary was rather simple, her expressive eyes added a lot to her charm. They were full of affection, and Jiang Yin would blush after just three seconds of looking at her.

It looked up some old photos of Song Qi, wearing a military uniform with sharp eyes, unlike how clingy he is now.

Song Qi took Jiang Yin home.

This was Jiang Yin's first time visiting Song Qi's home. It was huge, and she felt a little envious. She had worked herself to the bone to buy a house, while Song Qi lived in a large villa with a swimming pool and a small garden.

She just didn't understand, could an orange cat swim?

Song Qi had already taken the ingredients into the kitchen, and then came out again to take another look at Jiang Yin. Jiang Yin had changed into her original form and was standing by the pool, splashing in the water.

"Would you like to go down and have some fun?"

Jiang Yin was startled by Song Qi and turned to look at him.

"No need, it's freezing cold."

"I also have a small indoor swimming pool, would you like to try it?"

Jiang Yin was somewhat tempted.

"Come on." Song Qi picked Jiang Yin up.

Song Qi had already hugged her many times before, so Jiang Yin didn't feel there was anything wrong with Song Qi hugging her. Instead, she found a comfortable position.

System NZ: Although Song Qi's chasing skills are terrible, I have to say, Jiang Yin is really easy to fool.

She thought she would see Song Qi suffer a setback, but she didn't expect it to go so smoothly.

Song Qi filled the pool for Jiang Yin and then let her go play.

She went into the kitchen and started cooking.

After glancing at the ingredients on the table, Song Qi took a deep breath.

She had never been this serious since she came into this world.

I'm on edge right now, just to cook a meal for Jiang Yin.

Although Song Qi's cooking skills are not very good, her vegetable-cutting skills are quite good.

The cut vegetables are very beautiful and pleasing to the eye.

Such a pleasing sight will disappear once it enters the pot.

Song Qi bought three portions of ingredients, and finally chose the best portion to serve.

When they went to call Jiang Yin, she had completely let loose and was soaked to the bone.

Song Qi was a little helpless. He lifted Jiang Yin up, used magic to dry her clothes, and then they went to the table together.

"Stay tonight?"

Jiang Yin: ? ? ?

"Huh? Why?"

"Don't you like it here?" Song Qi looked at Jiang Yin, a hint of sadness in his eyes, then sighed, "I'm not used to not having you by my side. Don't worry, I've arranged another room for you."

Jiang Yin looked at the villa and it would be a lie to say she didn't like it.

But how could she possibly stay now that Song Qi had just started pursuing her again?

"No." Jiang Yin lowered her head and ate her food. "I'm very reserved."

Song Qi sighed, gave Jiang Yin a pitiful look, and said nothing more, simply urging Jiang Yin to eat.

The taste was just average, but Jiang Yin still ate quite a bit out of courtesy.

It was like instinct. Jiang Yin mentally complained that the food didn't taste good and she didn't want to eat it anymore, but her hands just wouldn't stop moving.

She felt she should eat it.

The dishes and chopsticks were washed together by the two of them. Song Qi enjoyed spending time with Jiang Yin in the small space, so she did not refuse Jiang Yin's help.

Song Qi would occasionally touch Jiang Yin's hand. She didn't know what she was thinking; she just wanted to touch her.

Finally, unable to resist, he smeared Jiang Yin's hand with bubbles.

"I'll take you home in a bit."

"good."

"I'll take your fingerprints when we go back. You can come anytime you want," Song Qi said.

"Who wants to come over?" Jiang Yin muttered.

Song Qi laughed: "Yes, it's definitely not you."

There weren't many dishes and chopsticks, but the two of them still spent half an hour washing them, washing them four or five times.

Jiang Yin didn't want to leave.

This is the right feeling. She always felt something was off when she lived alone, and now she knows why.

Because she's not by my side, nothing feels right.

They must have been very much in love before.

A day later, Jiang Yin was certain of this.

Because of intuition.

However, since he said he didn't want to stay here, he still had to leave; he couldn't let himself be proven wrong so quickly.

Jiang Yin was still hoping that Song Qi would ask her to stay again, so that she might be able to hesitate for a while before deciding to stay.

But Song Qi didn't say a word.

Song Qi noticed that when he left, Jiang Yin gave him a very resentful look.

Song Qi: ? ? ?

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing," Jiang Yin sighed. "Let's go."

It was only a little past eight o'clock, probably because it was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and there were many people on the street.

Jiang Yin looked out the window.

"Why do you only have a three-day holiday during the Mid-Autumn Festival, which falls within the National Day holiday?"

"Voluntary overtime will be paid at triple the normal rate."

Song Qi: ...

"Are you free next weekend?"

"Who knows?" Jiang Yin yawned.

Song Qi glanced at Jiang Yin and said, "If you're sleepy, you can take a nap. There's some traffic on the way."

"Okay." Jiang Yin nodded, then transformed back into her original form and curled up into a ball.

Song Qi reached out and rubbed it a couple of times, but Jiang Yin slapped his hand away.

Jiang Yin quickly fell asleep, feeling at ease.

When they arrived at Jiang Yin's building, Song Qi thought for a moment but decided not to wake her. Instead, he transformed into an orange cat and snuggled up to Jiang Yin.

It's definitely more comfortable to sleep with my wife in my arms, even though the car seats are really cramped.

When Jiang Yin woke up, she stared blankly at the enlarged cat face for a moment, but soon closed her eyes and fell asleep again.

After Jiang Yin woke up, Song Qi opened her eyes, expecting her to wake her up, but she fell asleep again.

Song Qi wanted to laugh, so she snuggled up to Jiang Yin and fell asleep as well.

System NZ: What's wrong with these two? There's a bed upstairs.

The next morning, Song Qi woke up first and then carried Jiang Yin back upstairs.

Jiang Yin was stunned when she woke up and found herself at home. She was also surprised to see Song Qi cooking in the kitchen: "How did you get in?"

"You can't stop me." Song Qi placed the cooked porridge and the steamed buns he bought on the table.

Jiang Yin looked around: "Where's my orange cat?"

Are you talking about me?

Jiang Yin looked at Song Qi: "It wasn't you, it was an orange cat I picked up on the street."

"So you're now acknowledging that I'm your orange cat?" Song Qi looked at Jiang Yin with a smile.

Jiang Yin was stunned for a moment: "I didn't!"

She searched the house but couldn't find the orange cat. She frowned with concern: "You really didn't see it?"

Song Qi originally intended to fool Jiang Yin, but judging from Jiang Yin's appearance, he was probably able to get away with it.

I never thought she cared much about that orange cat before; she often showed obvious dislike for it.

She wondered if she would get beaten up if she told herself that she was the orange cat.

System NZ: Don't even think about it, it will happen.
