Chapter 21 That Delicate Flower (21)

After the New Year's Eve party, I can go straight home.

"Yang Nuan, will you go back by yourself later, or will someone come to pick you up?" Gu Si said with a smile, holding her camera.

"Someone is coming to pick you up."

Gu Si sighed: "Then I'll have to go alone. Are you going out to play on New Year's Day?"

"No, I want to review." Song Qi shook his head and refused.

Gu Si nodded: "Okay, you've worked so hard, I can't fall behind."

"I'm going back to pack my things now."

"Okay." Gu Si bit her lip, watching Song Qi's departing figure.

She keenly sensed that something was different.

"Host, are you going to get rid of this female supporting character?" The system's voice was faintly excited.

"Wait until something happens to her." Song Qi carefully folded the test papers one by one and stuffed them into his schoolbag.

The system sighed and fell silent.

Xu Yangnuan's parents arrived and prepared to take Song Qi out for dinner.

The system watched as Song Qi seamlessly switched into the mode of a young girl, carrying a schoolbag and running out with a gait that didn't belong to a twenty-six-year-old. Her acting skills were superb, and the system admired her immensely.

During the three-day New Year's Day holiday, Song Qi and Gu Si had no contact whatsoever.

Gu Si did send a message to Song Qi, but she didn't reply.

It was quite a coincidence that the two met at the school gate on the day they went to school.

Gu Si was holding a half-eaten jianbing guozi in her hand. When she saw Song Qi, her eyes lit up and she waved.

"Yang Nuan, aren't you online at home?"

"No, aren't the final exams coming up?" Song Qi lied through his teeth.

Gu Si seemed to breathe a sigh of relief: "No wonder you didn't reply to my messages."

The two walked into the campus side by side.

Since there was still time left, there weren't many people in the school, and it was very quiet. In addition, Song Qi didn't say anything, so it was even quieter.

"This year's New Year's Day homework was really difficult, especially the math."

"Really?" Song Qi thought for a moment, but couldn't recall it. "It's alright."

"Top student, I think you're just stirring up trouble."

Song Qi glanced at the sulking Gu Si and said casually, "If you put all your energy into studying, you won't find it that difficult."

"I can't help it, I really love watching anime and reading novels." Gu Si sighed.

"Then there's nothing we can do."

The awkward conversation was once again brought to an end by Song Qi. Fortunately, they had already reached the classroom door and could go their separate ways.

In the afternoon, City A welcomed its first snowfall of the year.

The people on the first floor were very excited, while the people upstairs watched them making a ruckus downstairs.

Many people leaned over the railings or next to the windows, looking outside.

Song Qi held up a cup of milk tea, which Qin Xiao had bought for her. She accepted it gladly, after all, as a tutor who tutors all subjects, the price of a cup of milk tea was worth it.

"I don't even know if we'll have PE class this afternoon." Qin Xiao sighed as he looked downstairs.

"You can tell from your toes that it won't go up." Song Qi chewed on a pearl, staring blankly downstairs: When I get back, I'm going to hire a bunch of pastry chefs. How come I never realized how delicious desserts are before?

Qin Xiao sighed again.

“Perfect timing, you can finish the exam you didn’t complete.” Song Qi glanced at him.

Qin Xiao rolled his eyes. In the last monthly exam, he had already successfully moved into the middle of the class.

"Once you pass the first-tier university entrance exam, you can graduate."

"Yes, I will try my best to leave my master behind."

"Keep it up!"

"Yang Nuan! Brother Qin Xiao!" Gu Si ran up to Gu Si's side, wearing a fluffy white glove that looked very cute.

Qin Xiao didn't reply and left directly.

He now generally adopts a policy of ignoring Gu Si.

"It's so cold here," Gu Si sighed.

Song Qi nodded: "Yes, so you should wear more clothes."

Gu Si glanced at Song Qi, then silently took her hand out and placed it in Song Qi's hand: "Your hands are so cold too."

“So, let’s go back to class.” Song Qi took a step back.

Gu Si blinked, looking at Song Qi, somewhat at a loss.

"It's warm in the classroom, so I'm going back too." Song Qi finished the last bit of her milk tea and shook her head in disappointment.

Gu Si responded.

The period following New Year's Day was boring and uneventful; Song Qi suspected that the book might summarize this period in just a few words.

By the time school let out in the evening, a lot of snow had accumulated on the ground, and the slippery tiles had caused many people to fall. The happier you are when it snows, the more exhausted you are when you fall.

A group of people carefully walked along, supporting various objects.

Song Qi walked slowly, looking no different from taking a stroll.

Gu Si looked at Song Qi in the distance, then glanced at the person in front of her, gritted her teeth and quickly chased after him. She almost fell several times along the way, but fortunately she managed to stand up again in an odd posture.

"Yang Nuan." Gu Si called out to the person in front of her, grabbed Song Qi's arm just before she was about to fall, steadied herself, and breathed a sigh of relief. "Yang Nuan, you walk so fast."

"I'm alright." Song Qi helped Gu Si up. "Let's go back quickly, it's too cold."

Gu Si held onto Song Qi's arm tightly, showing no intention of letting go. Song Qi didn't say anything more and led her forward step by step. Once they entered the dormitory building, Gu Si finally let go of his arm and looked down at her shoes. Because she had walked quickly on the snow, a lot of snow water had gotten into her shoes, and her feet were numb from the cold.

She glanced at Song Qi again; only the edges of his shoes were wet.

"Soaking your feet when you get home will make you feel better. I have some herbal foot bath packets, do you want them? They can help remove cold."

"Huh?" Gu Si glanced at Song Qi, not expecting to see a high school student using such a thing.

"Do you want it?" Song Qi repeated.

"Yes." Gu Si nodded; after all, Bubble couldn't be wrong.

Xu Yangnuan's mother prepared a lot for Song Qi, and she took five and handed them to Gu Si.

Gu Siting wanted to say that she didn't need so much, but considering that this seemed to be the only thing Song Qi had ever given her, she accepted it anyway.

"Thank you." Gu Si smiled, her eyes narrowing. "Can I come and soak my feet with you?"

Song Qi: ...

"There might not be enough stools, so you'll have to soak in the water yourself. I'm going to use that time to memorize vocabulary."

"Okay." Gu Si sighed. She had originally wanted to say that she could bring a stool with her. "Then I'm leaving."

"Um."

"See you tomorrow."
