The two went inside. The lighting was dim and the soundproofing wasn't very good; they could hear howling and wailing coming from some of the rooms.
Song Qi looked around.
Gu Si booked a medium-sized private room for seven hours, which happened to be the time when the store closed in the morning, at six o'clock.
Song Qi noticed her hands were trembling and asked curiously, "System, what will happen?"
"What's the point of telling you? But don't worry, you'll be fine." The system's voice also subtly revealed a hint of excitement.
"Your old-fashioned campus novel has way too many elements," Song Qi said, glancing around. Clearly, nothing good was going to happen in this kind of place.
Perhaps it's because everyday life is too boring, so they're looking for some excitement?
The waiter led them to a private room. The corridor was like a spider web, winding around and around. Their private room was located a little further inside, and there was still a lingering smell of smoke inside, which was very pungent.
Song Qi's expression remained unchanged; after all, she had smelled even the most unpleasant things before.
Gu Si frowned, clearly unable to bear it any longer. She put down her bag and smiled at Song Qi: "Yang Nuan, you order first, I'll go buy water."
"Okay." Song Qi nodded.
What would you like to drink?
"Mineral water is fine, thank you."
Song Qi watched Gu Si's departing figure, checked the room thoroughly, and then returned to his original position.
When Gu Si came back, she was carrying eight bottles of mineral water: "I saw a place that makes orange juice, so I asked them to make a jug and bring it over right away."
"good."
"Why didn't you select a song?" Gu Si glanced at the screen and frowned.
"I don't know what to sing, you can pick." Song Qi opened a bottle of mineral water, took a sip, and said. She hadn't sung much, nor had she listened to many songs, and she knew even less of the songs here.
Gu Si selected a few songs for herself, while Song Qi leaned back on the sofa and watched her.
Her voice is very pleasant, and she doesn't sing off-key. She also sings with great passion.
Song Qi glanced at the location of the room's security camera, then lowered his head.
When the orange juice was delivered, Gu Si glanced at it and didn't even realize that her voice was trembling slightly and a little off-key.
At that moment, I felt as if I had completely collapsed.
Gu Si glanced at her watch. After two songs, she put down the microphone, picked up a glass, and started pouring orange juice. Out of the corner of Song Qi's eye, she saw some powder fall from Gu Si's palm.
I don't know where it was stuffed in.
Gu Si pursed her lips and glanced cautiously at Song Qi. She breathed a sigh of relief when she noticed that Song Qi wasn't looking at her.
She poured medicine into two cups; the one on the right contained the medicine, while the one on the left did not.
Song Qi watched as she picked up the cup on her right and walked towards her.
"Yang Nuan, have some orange juice."
The cup was handed to her, clearly indicating that he wanted her to drink it right away.
Song Qi took it and placed it on the table.
"Aren't you going to drink?" Gu Si asked, her voice still trembling.
"I just drank half a bottle of mineral water, and I don't really want to drink anything else right now."
"Oh, okay, this color looks pretty good." Gu Si nodded and returned to her original seat.
Song Qi didn't know how to evaluate Gu Si's series of actions. She probably thought she had done a perfect job and wouldn't be discovered, but she was strange in every way.
When the two of them are together, she always likes to sit close to me, but now they're so far apart.
Song Qi looked at the glass of orange juice: "System, what did she put in it?"
"Medicine," the system answered bluntly, then shut its mouth, offering absolutely no further hints.
Gu Si glanced at the time a few more times, then looked towards Song Qi. When Song Qi looked at her, she became a little nervous, took a big gulp of orange juice, and almost choked.
"Drink slowly," Song Qi said. "If you like, you can have it all."
"No need, I'm just a little thirsty." Gu Si clenched her fists tightly, and the faint voices coming from the doorway made her even more flustered.
Song Qi finally picked up the cup, his movements unhurried and deliberate.
Gu Si stared at her movements, and finally couldn't help but call out, "Yang Nuan!"
Her voice was very high-pitched, and even though the music was deafening, it couldn't drown it out.
Song Qi had just brought the cup to his lips when he heard her voice. He paused, turned his head to look at her.
Gu Si noticed her lapse in composure and tried to calm herself down: "You'd better not drink it."
"Why?" Song Qi looked at her, puzzled.
“Because I think yours looks better to drink.” Gu Si immediately moved closer to Song Qi and took the cup from him.
Song Qi continued to look at her.
Gu Si originally just wanted to put the cup down or accidentally knock it over, but under Song Qi's gaze, both actions would seem very strange.
Finally, under Song Qi's gaze, Gu Si took two sips and said, "Yours does taste better."
She laughed, but her laughter was more painful than crying.
"Then drink more."
"Then give me the whole pot, and don't try to take it from me later." Gu Si took two more big gulps.
"I won't fight you for it." Song Qi took a sip of water, observing Gu Si's changes.
I'm a little curious.
A few minutes later, Gu Si finally couldn't help but speak, her voice trembling and unsteady: "Yang Nuan, let's go back, I'm a little sleepy."
"Okay." Song Qi was quite curious about what else Gu Si had prepared, but since the other party had taken the initiative to end it, she didn't need to make things difficult for her any further.
Gu Si took her bag and tried to get up. She looked like she was trying very hard to maintain her balance, but after trying to get up twice, she finally fell back onto the sofa.
"What’s wrong with you?"
"I..." Gu Si opened her mouth, "probably because I was too tired today."
She reached out her hand to Song Qi: "Yang Nuan, can you help me up?"
Just as Song Qi was about to help her up, someone pushed open the door and walked in.
Gu Si's expression changed.
Three people arrived. Song Qi turned her head and looked at them, saying, "Did you come to the wrong room?"
"No." A man glanced at the two of them, his gaze finally settling on Song Qi's face. "You didn't go to the wrong room, this is the right one, isn't it? Tsk, she really is a little beauty, are you both virgins?"
He glanced at Gu Si and smiled: "Little sister, you drank the medicine yourself? You're so smart, drinking medicine makes you feel better."
“System, I don’t think it’s a good thing that this storyline happened in this world,” Song Qi said.
"There's nothing we can do; this is the outline we were given," the system said.
Song Qi twitched the corner of his mouth: "Too bloody."
"Host, this is a society governed by the rule of law. The other party is neither space pirates nor an enemy nation. Be careful..."
“I have the Law on the Protection of Minors.” Song Qi grabbed the other person’s hand that was reaching out, twisted it sharply behind him, and while the other person cried out in pain, tripped him and threw him directly onto the coffee table.
With a "thump".
The scene was somewhat impressive, accompanied by music coming from the speakers.
Song Qi rubbed his neck, coldly looked at the two remaining people, and then revealed a sinister smile: "What did you just say?"
Gu Si bit her lower lip hard, trying to stay awake. Her mind was a bit muddled, partly because of the medication, but more so because of the current situation.
As she watched Song Qi's figure, the things before her eyes began to blur.
After that, she could no longer hear the sounds around her and fell into a state of confusion.
