A morning is enough to make anyone lose their fighting spirit.
When they shouted "Disband!", they didn't even have the strength to cheer.
Song Qi was perfectly fine and walked towards the cafeteria with her roommate, carrying her bag.
Although Shu Wangyue said she didn't want to see Song Qi, she figured she had to go back to school anyway, and since she was just passing by, she might as well take a look at her.
I was just passing by.
She carried a small umbrella, wore a mask, and watched from afar as Song Qi walked with others, surrounded by quite a few people.
In the end, he didn't go over; he turned and left.
Even just taking a look would be fine, but she didn't expect Song Qi to be able to make friends with people so quickly.
She still remembered how indifferent Song Qi was to his classmates in the first world.
Shu Wangyue twirled her umbrella.
Song Qi felt as if someone was watching him, and turned around to look in a certain direction, but couldn't find them again.
"Shu Wangyue came looking for you just now," System NZ said, "She looked at you for a while and then left."
Why would she come to see me for no reason?
The system casually remarked, "Who knows, maybe she likes you."
Song Qi paused in his steps: "Is there anyone who doesn't like me?"
"Narcissism".
Although the food in the cafeteria tasted good, they weren't in the mood to eat properly because of the hot weather and their fatigue. They ate a few bites and then went back to rest.
When I arrived at the playground in the afternoon, I found that a small stage had been set up next to it.
The instructor explained that during breaks, students who wanted to perform could go up and perform, which was considered a form of entertainment.
Song Qi noticed that many people were looking at him.
Of course, she had no intention of making a move.
In the afternoon, we still had to stand at attention and turn left and right.
It's not difficult, but it's painful.
Because of the high temperature, one girl in the group fainted.
The remaining people watching the girl being helped away silently envied her and wished they could faint too.
During breaks, many people go to the small stage, eager to try their hand at it.
Song Qi sat cross-legged on the ground, intending only to rest for a while, but was pulled over by her roommate.
There was already a boy singing on stage. Although he didn't sing very well, he was very confident, and no one laughed at him. Instead, they applauded and cheered.
Are you going?
Song Qi shook his head: "On such a hot day, it would be better to sit down and rest. Why make things difficult for yourself?"
Some people were disappointed, but they didn't insist.
Most of the people who went up there were singers, with the occasional dancer.
"system."
"Um?"
"I am bored."
"Um."
"Can we fast forward this period of military training, like in the first world?"
“No.” System NZ checked the backend. “There should be a storyline between you and the second male lead here. You can choose not to trigger it, but it’s unlikely you can skip this period.”
Song Qi sighed, and someone behind her suddenly bumped into her.
She glanced back and saw two boys standing there looking embarrassed.
"Feel sorry."
"It's alright, just be careful." Song Qi turned around again.
She saw the second male lead, Song Qing.
Two girls were standing in front of Song Qing talking to each other. Song Qing shook his head and then left, his face expressionless.
Song Qi rested her chin on her hand and tilted her head to look at the stage.
He doesn't look like someone easy to get along with.
The military training ended at 6 p.m.
She still went back to take a shower; their school only had a large public bathhouse, which was already overcrowded.
When Song Qi returned to the villa, he noticed that someone had been there, especially in the kitchen, where there were some freshly bought groceries.
"You're back?" Shu Wangyue ran downstairs.
Do you have a key to my place?
"Yes," Shu Wangyue nodded. "Mom gave it to me, why?"
Song Qi asked, "It's nothing, did you buy the groceries in the kitchen?"
"yes."
"You can cook?" Song Qi looked at Shu Wangyue, somewhat surprised.
A pampered young lady who never lifts a finger can actually cook?
"I already told you I can cook. Go take a shower first. Oh, I brought my own slippers, so don't let anyone else wear them." Shu Wangyue wiggled her feet.
Song Qi nodded: "Okay, I understand. I'm going up now, thank you."
When she came out after washing up, there were already two dishes on the table.
Shu Wangyue was still in the kitchen, wearing a floral apron, and her movements looked very skilled, indicating that this was not her first time cooking.
Song Qi walked to the door and looked around for a while.
"You're done washing up?" Shu Wangyue turned around and saw Song Qi, and subconsciously smiled.
"Hmm." Song Qi nodded, walked over, and glanced into the pot.
"We're a bit rushed today, so we'll probably only have these few dishes. You can go out now, it'll be ready soon." Shu Wangyue nudged Song Qi's arm.
Song Qi, hands in his pockets, returned to the doorway: "Why did you come all the way here to cook for me?"
She noticed that Shu Wangyue's hand paused.
Shu Wangyue's mind raced. After a few seconds, she smiled and said, "I'm just passing by. Don't overthink it. I just want to cook, but I don't want to wash. I'll finish cooking for you here and then I can run away."
"What, you didn't think I came here to cook for you, did you?"
Shu Wangyue didn't turn around, but if you listened carefully, you could hear that her voice was a little nervous.
"Hmm." Song Qi yawned and went back to his seat.
She didn't know why she asked the question; it was probably because of what the system had just said.
Song Qi rested her chin on her hand, looking at her phone.
She replied to the message her roommate sent her.
The agent found Song Qi a few more scripts, all of which were pretty good.
She chose a martial arts drama, and the second female lead was right up her alley. She prioritized the greater good, wasn't love-struck, and was willing to abandon the male lead for her goals. She was a very complex and transformative character, and it would be quite challenging to portray her well.
The audition was scheduled right after the end of military training.
The agent's idea is for her to choose a campus drama adapted from an IP. She has just graduated from high school, the script is good, and the response should be good. Plus, she'll be the female lead.
She wasn't very optimistic about that martial arts drama.
After checking the filming schedules of the two dramas, Song Qi decided to give them both a try.
Shu Wangyue had already brought out the last dishes and soup.
"How's military training going?" Shu Wangyue handed chopsticks to Song Qi.
Seeing Shu Wangyue's amused expression, Song Qi took a bite of rice and said, "I'm a little tired."
"Is the instructor handsome?"
"It's alright." Song Qi nodded and ate a piece of pork rib.
"Is it fun?"
"It's not fun."
Shu Wangyue tried to start a conversation several times, but Song Qi ruthlessly ended it each time.
"It tastes pretty good." Song Qi ordered some sweet and sour pork ribs.
“That’s right.” Shu Wangyue’s eyes lit up, and she looked smug.
Do you often cook for yourself?
Shu Wangyue was about to say "often," but then swallowed her words: "Not often, just when I'm bored, I'll cook a little something for myself. Don't tell Mom I can cook."
"Oh." Song Qi tasted some other dishes, glanced at Shu Wangyue, and then lingered on Shu Wangyue's hands for two seconds. She noticed that Shu Wangyue had unconsciously clasped her hands together. "Are you coming again tomorrow?"
"It depends." Shu Wangyue looked at Song Qi and cautiously probed, "Do you want me to come?"
"It's up to you. Just let me know in advance if you're coming or not." Song Qi took a sip of soup and had to admit that homemade soup was definitely different from store-bought.
Are you going back to your dorm tonight?
"I'm not going back." Song Qi glanced at the time; it was almost eight o'clock. By the time she finished eating and washing the dishes, it would probably be past ten o'clock before she went back.
I just wanted to come back and take a shower, but I ended up eating after the shower.
Shu Wangyue's eyes darted around: "Then I'll stay here tonight, I'm too lazy to walk."
Song Qi paused, her hand holding the chopsticks still. She looked up at Shu Wangyue, and for some reason, that look in Shu Wangyue's eyes seemed familiar. "Sure, whatever you want. The guest room is ready."
"Okay, I'll stay in the room next to yours. That's my room, not a guest room. Don't let anyone else sleep there." Shu Wangyue was a little excited, not expecting things to go so smoothly.
"Didn't you say you didn't want to live with me?"
Shu Wangyue looked at Song Qi with a hint of accusation in her eyes: "It's so late at night, and you're letting me go home by myself. Aren't you worried?"
"To be honest," Song Qi smiled at Shu Wangyue, then shook his head, "No."
Shu Wangyue's expression almost collapsed; why was this person not playing by the rules?
"You can stay here as you please, just don't bring just anyone over. And don't make too much noise at night."
Shu Wangyue nodded: "I know."
"You have to believe me, I'll just throw you out." Song Qi smiled at Shu Wangyue again.
"I know, I know."
Shu Wangyue sighed inwardly, thinking that it would take a lot of time, but who knew it would be so easy.
The system NP casually reminded you: "Please don't forget the important matter."
"I know, you don't need to remind me, can you please stop bothering me?" Shu Wangyue said, somewhat annoyed.
After finishing his meal, Song Qi looked up and noticed Shu Wangyue's furrowed brows: "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." Shu Wangyue snapped out of her daze, immediately smiled, and shook her head.
Song Qi didn't ask any more questions. Although Shu Wangyue said that Song Qi should wash the dishes, she still went over to help in the end.
Although she saw the dishwasher next to her, she didn't want to tell Song Qi at all.
It's quite nice to wash dishes together in the kitchen with someone, even though no one is talking.
Shu Wangyue would occasionally steal a glance at Song Qi, and it always felt like a dream.
She thought she had been very careful in her peeping and that Song Qi hadn't noticed.
