Song Qi stared at them for a long while.
The director was the first to react. He nodded to Song Qi, wrote something in his notebook, and then let Song Qi leave.
He didn't say anything.
Song Qi hadn't auditioned either, so she didn't know if this was the normal procedure.
However, she knew that her chances of getting the role were as high as 80%.
The female lead's halo is undeniable.
Song Qi was the first to finish her audition. She turned and went to Shu Wangyue's side. Shu Wangyue was still waiting, surrounded by a group of people, all with fawning smiles on their faces. Through the gaps in the crowd, she caught a glimpse of Shu Wangyue's face.
Very impatient, on the verge of exploding.
She paused, then decisively turned and went to Shi Xinyu's side.
The area around Shi Xinyu became much quieter, and the young lady's dissatisfaction became even more obvious. She was practically plastering the words "Don't bother me, don't come near me" on her body. She saw Song Qi wave her hand.
How did the audition go?
"I think I did pretty well." Song Qi glanced at the people in line. "Why is it so slow?"
"I don't know, someone has been inside for a long time," Shi Xinyu sighed.
Song Qi stood to one side with his arms crossed.
"I want to drink water." Shi Xinyu looked up at Song Qi.
"I'll give you the chair, you can go buy it yourself."
Shi Xinyu looked at Song Qi and gave a soft snort.
A helpful person next to me handed me the water.
Shi Xinyu didn't stand on ceremony and accepted it directly: "Thank you."
"It's nothing," the other person smiled.
Song Qi glanced at her and said, "Give me half a stool to sit on."
"You stand there." Shi Xinyu gave Song Qi a provocative look.
“Actually, I could just pick you up and put you aside, then take your chair.”
"How come I never noticed you were so domineering before?" Shi Xinyu reluctantly gave up half a stool; being lifted up like that was just too embarrassing.
Song Qi glanced at Shi Xinyu: "I thought you already knew while you were practicing dancing."
"You should really show those people who call you 'sweetheart baby' online what you look like now."
“That video is all over the internet, do you think they don’t know?” Song Qi smiled. “They love me no matter what, don’t be envious.”
Shi Xinyu gave Song Qi a look; if she weren't outmatched by this woman, she really wanted to kick Song Qi off the stage.
It was two hours later when we arrived at Shi Xinyu's place.
She looked somewhat nervous when she went in.
“Go ahead, just be yourself, you can do it.” Song Qi patted Shi Xinyu on the shoulder.
Shi Xinyu curled her lips and rolled her eyes at Song Qi.
The role she auditioned for was an arrogant, domineering, and vicious supporting female character in the play, the older sister of Xiao Yueguang, with more screen time than Song Qi.
After the audition, Shu Wangyue searched everywhere for Song Qi, and when she finally saw Song Qi with Shi Xinyu, she couldn't describe her feelings.
She took a deep breath and walked over: "When did you finish your audition?"
“Two hours ago.” Song Qi glanced at Shu Wangyue.
Why didn't you come to find me?
Song Qi crossed his legs and said, "There are so many people around you, why would I go over there?"
Upon hearing that Song Qi had come to see her, Shu Wangyue's mood instantly improved.
"How did the audition go?" Song Qi glanced at Shu Wangyue.
"I don't know, it's alright." Shu Wangyue was standing next to Song Qi when someone quickly handed her a stool.
Shu Wangyue nodded at the person. Song Qi saw that the person seemed to be about to say something, but Shu Wangyue had already turned her head away without hesitation.
"And you?"
"I don't know, they didn't say anything, they just let me out." Song Qi shrugged.
Shu Wangyue patted Song Qi on the shoulder to comfort him.
Shi Xinyu came out quickly, looking unwell. She glanced at the two people sitting there waiting for her, and her expression turned even worse.
"What's wrong?"
Shi Xinyu twitched the corner of her mouth: "Someone told me to go to class and learn acting before I come back to act."
Song Qi: ...
Shi Xinyu took a deep breath and gritted her teeth: "I'm so angry!"
"Didn't I tell you to play yourself?" Song Qi got up and rubbed his neck.
Shi Xinyu glared at Song Qi: "He said the same thing, that I'm just playing myself and don't need any artistic embellishment, so it'll probably be pretty good."
Shu Wangyue laughed rather unkindly.
"What are you laughing at? Where am I being arrogant or domineering!"
The people around were quiet for a few seconds before turning to look.
"Let's go, you're the last one. You can go back after the audition." Song Qi didn't answer Shi Xinyu's question, packed her things, and walked out.
"No, explain yourself clearly. How am I arrogant and domineering? It's Miss Shu who's arrogant and domineering, okay?"
"Nonsense, everyone knows I'm gentle and kind." Shu Wangyue was in a good mood, and she couldn't suppress the smile on her face.
Shi Xinyu was so angry she wanted to bite him: "Why don't you touch your own face and see if it's still there?"
“Here I am, right here. See that? Such a beautiful face.” Shu Wangyue said with a smug look on her face.
Song Qi quickened his pace, trying to get away from the two bickering kindergarten children.
However, the two noticed that Song Qi was moving faster, so they also sped up.
"Are you that hungry, walking so fast?" Shi Xinyu asked.
Song Qi didn't turn around: "I just wanted to get away from the two of you."
The audition results came out on the third day, very quickly.
Of the five people who auditioned, only Shi Xinyu did not get the role.
Although Shi Xinyu had known this would be the outcome for a long time, she was still in a terrible mood.
Actually, if she wanted the role, she could have manipulated things, but the thought of the person who criticized her from beginning to end made her completely unwilling to join the cast.
Only someone with a screw loose would try to trick themselves into getting themselves insulted.
Song Qi also received her admission notice and, as usual, took a photo and posted it on Weibo.
As usual, she was questioned and criticized.
Song Qi glanced at the time; there was still some time before bed. He scanned the comments and narrowed his eyes.
[No meat today: It's fine to have fun at art school, but why go and cause trouble at a university?]
[Lu Nanyin, the Flower Girl: I got in based on my own ability. What I do is none of your business.]
[Probably fake: I hope I don't get fired later, being so high-profile now.]
[Lu Nanyin, the girl among flowers: No need for you to trouble yourself.]
The agent once thought that Shi Xinyu and Shu Wangyue were the most troublesome people, until "Song Qi's taunting" became a trending topic.
Last time, the fight could be explained as teaching a pervert a lesson, but this one...
She just couldn't understand why Song Qi would go and argue with boring netizens.
The agent was so angry that his liver hurt. He called Song Qi but found that the phone was off, and Song Qi was obviously asleep.
The trending topic was quickly suppressed.
Song Qi didn't actually sleep; he just turned off his phone.
System NZ was somewhat speechless: "Host, I've noticed that your ability to cause trouble is getting stronger and stronger."
"Thanks."
"Why do you go around arguing with netizens all the time?"
"Can't sleep, bored." Song Qi yawned.
When Song Qi woke up the next morning, she saw countless missed calls as soon as she turned on her phone, and her agent sent her numerous messages on WeChat.
She checked Weibo and saw that the trending topic was gone. She also looked at the comments and saw that there weren't many people criticizing her, and quite a few defending her.
Perhaps because of her young age, or because she gained some goodwill from passersby when she beat up the pervert last time.
Many people think that she is just young, so she has a straightforward and genuine personality.
Song Qi put away her phone with satisfaction and began packing her things.
She needs to go home for a few days because of her graduation celebration.
Shu Wangyue went back yesterday.
When she arrived home, Shu Wangyue and her father were sitting on the sofa talking, both of them looking very unhappy.
When he saw Song Qi return, Shu's father's expression softened.
"Dad," Song Qi glanced at Shu Wangyue, "Sister, what happened?"
Mr. Shu waved his hand: "It's nothing, it's just that your sister is disobedient."
Shu Wangyue chuckled: "He wants you to meet Huo Chengye."
"Huh?" Song Qi was stunned for a moment, outwardly shocked but inwardly calm.
Shu's father glared at Shu Wangyue, then looked at Song Qi with a somewhat helpless expression: "The Huo family and our family are old friends, so we wanted you to get to know each other. There's no other meaning behind it, so don't overthink it. If you have any problems later, you can ask Huo Chengye for help."
Shu Wangyue scoffed again: "Why don't you arrange for me to meet him?"
"Don't you know President Huo?" Mr. Shu frowned. "By the way, weren't you pestering President Huo a few days ago? He even called me. Although he didn't say it explicitly, the meaning was very clear: don't go looking for him unless you have to. You're making me lose face."
"It was just a coincidence that we ran into each other! What's wrong with me saying hello? Is it just because I'm adopted and not your biological child?" Shu Wangyue glanced at Song Qi, "She's so amazing, she got into A University, are you looking down on me even more now?"
Mr. Shu frowned, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress his anger: "Get back to your room."
"Fine, I'll go back now. Are you going to kick me out next time?" Shu Wangyue said angrily as she stormed upstairs, slamming the door shut with a deafening bang.
Mr. Shu sat back down on the sofa, frowning, and glanced at Song Qi: "What are you standing for? Come and sit down."
"Okay." Song Qi glanced upstairs. "Is she alright?"
"Why should we care about her? What kind of behavior is it for a young girl to be running around after a man all day?" Mr. Shu said with a dark face. "By the way, she didn't bully you, did she?"
"No." Song Qi smiled.
“Tell me if you’re being bullied. Mr. Huo is coming over for dinner tonight. Just treat him like an older brother.” Mr. Shu really hadn’t thought that far ahead.
He just wanted to find more people to take care of Song Qi, his biological daughter whom he had just found.
As for the rest, let fate decide.
Song Qi nodded: "Thank you, Dad."
"President Huo doesn't seem too easy to get along with, but he's actually a nice person." Mr. Shu patted Song Qi on the shoulder. "You must be tired. Go upstairs and get some rest."
"good."
Song Qi continued to nod.
"By the way, when you go to university, do you want to live in the dorms, or rent a place outside?"
Song Qi thought for a moment and said, "Let's stay outside, but I guess we'll have to stay at school for military training."
"Okay, so what are your requirements for the house?" Shu's father asked Song Qi.
After thinking for a moment, Song Qi said, "It just needs to be close to the school, bright, safe, and quiet."
Mr. Shu nodded thoughtfully, "Alright, then you can go up first."
