48 Moral kidnapping XNGLX Lai Apo

Hua was placed in a small room where no one was. She could smell a very subtle scent coming from the bed fabric because it had not been dried for a long time.

She opened her eyes as she listened to the hurried footsteps of the woman who had put her on the bed.

The room is rather gray, and the overall feeling is like a house in an old Japanese drama. The old feeling and sense of time are all in this room.

Huahuan looked around and found that there was no electrical appliance here. A place name vaguely appeared in her mind.

NBA autonomous region?

This name made her hesitate for a moment, wondering if she remembered it wrong. She always felt that this was the same name that was related to basketball.

Hua looked around carefully again, but still didn't find any electrical appliances. She could only comfort herself that the old lady was too poor and would not really go to that autonomous region.

Shamo grabbed Grandma Lai outside, but Grandma didn't look at her. Instead, she looked straight ahead, and her gaze was focused on nowhere.

Hua gently climbed up and put her head close to the window, trying to listen to what they were saying. Maybe it was because the distance was a little far, or maybe she was still a little dizzy, so she couldn't hear clearly what the two people said.

Hua squinted her eyes and tried hard to identify the words she heard. After struggling for a long time, she could only hear them.

She was a little confused, but didn't have time to think about it anymore. Seeing the two of them were about to separate, she immediately jumped up and climbed onto the beam.

After Grandma Lai came in, she didn't look at the bed. She seemed to have completely forgotten that she had picked up a child.

Grandma Lai walked to the chair with a hunched back. Hua thought she wanted to sit down and rest.

I saw Grandma Lai with her hands on the back of the chair, her fingers exerting force as if she was pinching something.

Hua was stunned for a moment, then gestured a little, and then realized that Grandma Lai seemed to be pressing the shoulders of the chair.

In this room, sunlight is spreading on the ground, and an elderly woman is pressing down on a chair. The scene should have had a bit of a horror story feel, but it was a bit sad to watch.

Hua suddenly felt that she deserved to die.

She rolled over lightly, controlling her muscles to avoid making any noise, and lay back down on the bed.

Hua was lying on the bed and glanced at Grandma Lai out of the corner of her eye. Grandma Lai didn't react at all. She was still calmly massaging the chair's shoulders.

Hua waited for a while, and felt that she couldn't go on like this, so she sat down on the edge of the bed and prepared to get out.

"Grandma Lai, let me pick some vegetables for you."

Summer's voice came from the door. Hua froze in place because of her voice. Summer came in and saw Grandma Lai pinching the chair, so she rushed in.

"Ouch, you are..."

Summer held Grandma Lai's hand, her lips trembled and she sighed.

She lowered her head with a headache, and just as she turned her eyes, she saw Hua sitting beside the bed, and her eyes lit up.

"Look, your granddaughter just came back and hasn't eaten yet."

This sentence was like the power button for Grandma Lai. She stopped what she was doing and looked at the flowers.

"Sun, Sun."

Grandma Lai's voice was hoarse, as if she hadn't drunk water for a long time. She spoke word by word, turning her head slowly. Whenever it was night, she would scream and run away.

Hua pursed her lips. She understood that Summer meant for her to comfort Grandma Lai.

Regardless of whether this old lady’s condition is right or wrong, she won’t stay here forever. She has to go back to Whale Island.

Will this old lady really be okay by then?

"I just came back. Look, I'm still dirty."

Samo was talking beside Grandma Lai. Grandma Lai had been doing more and more stupid things recently. Before, she had only picked up some flowers, plants, rotten rabbits and so on.

This time I picked up a child, which is a good thing. There is someone who can take care of the old lady, even for a few days, which can at least relieve the pressure.

Summer glanced at the child who was still confused and at a loss with a youthful look on his face, and smiled apologetically.

"Hungry, aren't you?"

Grandma Lai held Hua's hand, and her originally dull expression gradually showed some kindness. She stroked the little hand in her hand.

Hua didn't dare to speak, for fear that she would say something wrong and irritate the other person.

She just stared at the old man in front of her, but it made the old man more and more anxious. She began to sway her body slightly in anxiety.

"Silly child, call me grandma!"

Summer slapped Hua on the back and made faces at her, but Hua felt very angry.

It's not that she can't help, but she's really annoyed by being put in a position and forced to help.

Hua frowned and looked at Grandma Lai again. Grandma Lai's eyes were pressed into triangles by her drooping eyelids, and she looked old and tired, but when she looked at Hua, there was a hint of longing in her eyes.

Hua's heart softened. She looked at Grandma Lai's face, her lips moved a few times, and finally she tore out two words from her throat.

"grandmother.."

Sam immediately patted Hua's back happily, and then hugged Grandma Lai joyfully.

"Grandma, I stewed some chicken today. I'll bring some over to you later."

After saying that, he looked at Hua, who was wearing clothes that looked like rotten pickled vegetables, and reached out to hug her.

"I have some old clothes there that should be your size. Come with me to exchange them."

She lowered her voice, revealing a bit of softness. Hua glanced at Grandma Lai, who became dazed again after she called out. She did not pinch the chair, but began to wash the fruit in the void.

Hua was pulled by Samo out of Grandma Lei's house. She looked back and saw Grandma Lei still washing her air fruit.

It turns out that this old lady is really crazy.

Hua thought so, and she followed Summer away in silence.

"Thank you, little girl." Summer walked quickly on the slightly uneven road. "Grandma Lai went a little crazy after her children died."

"I always repeat the same action, and if there is no response for a long time, I will collapse."

Hua listened to Shamo's rambling introduction and began to think about how she could borrow a phone.

She wanted to let her family know that she was safe.

Aunt Mitt must be worried after being gone for so long.

Hua took the clothes from Shamo's hand. She hesitated for a long time, but finally made up her mind to ask.

"I want to call home. If you have one, could you lend it to me?"

Hua looked at Shamo's face with some anticipation. Hua held her clothes with both hands, and her arms unconsciously pulled back while waiting.

She believed what she had just seen, these people should be good people.

After all, she would also deliver food to the crazy old man and help him, even if there was a hint of sarcasm in her tone and she would morally blackmail others.

But I should be able to help borrow a phone.

Hua was looking forward to it. She looked straight at the other person's face with hope in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, little girl, we don't have any electrical appliances at home."

Shamo looked at the child in front of him with an expression full of apology. There were no electrical appliances in the NGL autonomous region, and the phone number that the little girl mentioned was definitely impossible to find.

Hua lowered her head dejectedly. She looked at the clothes in her hands and began to feel troubled. If she wanted to go out and take public transportation across borders, she had to have an ID, but she simply couldn't have any ID on her right now.

"Stay here for now, just consider it a favor to me."

Summer placed her palm on Hua's shoulder. The warmth of the older woman was transmitted from her shoulder to her whole body, but Hua didn't feel warm at all.

She was pushed into the room by Sam to change clothes, and then returned to Grandma Lai's house. Sam brought a large bowl of chicken, sat down at the table affectionately, and began to feed Grandma Lai.

Hua just stared blankly, her lips pursed in silence. She was obviously extremely hungry, but she just had no appetite.

"Little girl, I've saved your portion for you, remember to eat it."

Shamo took the time to say something, and then continued to coax Grandma Lai to eat. Grandma didn't care whether there was food in her mouth or not, she just kept chewing with her mouth open and closed.

Hua lowered her head. She felt her throat was sore. She pursed her lips and suddenly realized that she was too thirsty.

Summer handed her a cup and looked at the unresponsive Hua with a gentle smile.

Hua raised the cup and wet her lips with the water, but did not drink.

As soon as the sun went down, the small village fell into darkness. There was no electric light in the village without any high-tech creations of human civilization. The small candlelight could not illuminate much, and only emitted a little faint light in the dark night.

Hua and Grandma Lai were lying on the bed. Hua closed her eyes slightly. She was glad that she had previously trained with Yuan Ling to hang stones above her head, which prevented her from falling completely into a deep sleep.

She quickly fell into a state of half-sleep and half-wakefulness, her nerves always tense, ready to fight back at any sudden situation.

Hua had just fallen asleep when she suddenly opened her eyes. Grandma Lai beside her suddenly sat up and was muttering something.

Hua leaned closer to listen and vaguely heard words like "It's not me, give it back to me."

Grandma Lai kept muttering these two sentences over and over again, like a spell, which made her headache so severe.

Then Grandma Lai got out of bed and walked out the door, and Hua followed her quietly.

It was pitch black outside, but the room itself was not very bright either, so Hua was not temporarily blinded. She followed Grandma Lai in silence.

Grandma Lai first greeted every tree on the road, and then touched the top of the low bush. Unlike her previous dull look, she now looked very kind, with a subtle smile on her face.

The more Hua followed, the creepier she felt. Grandma Lai's behavior seemed very abnormal. She must be either haunted or sick.

Grandma Lai kept walking into the forest, and Hua could only follow her. Suddenly, she heard faint footsteps behind her. The sound was definitely from a middle-aged fat man.

"Grandma, Grandma..."

Hua immediately started calling out to Grandma Lai in front of her. Perhaps because she was very scared, there was a subtle tremor in her voice.

Grandma Lai did not respond to the flowers' call. She kept walking forward, still greeting the plants around her.
