Chapter 28 Snow White

Chapter 28 Snow White

The little girl spoke innocently.

She didn't know, but Su Xia, who was reborn, knew that Xu Jiqing didn't get the money.

In the national mathematics competition in his senior year of high school, Xu Jiqing, who was full of the city's hopes, gave up the exam despite ranking first in the league in Jiangxi Province. From then on, there was no news from him and he disappeared until the college entrance examination without returning to school.

What will happen in the next year to make him make such a choice?

Su Xia knew nothing.

But having witnessed the fate of the Xu brothers and sisters fall again and again, this time, she would not stand idly by no matter what.

Xu Jiaojiao was still looking at her worriedly.

It was too embarrassing to cry in front of such a big child. Su Xia lowered her head and sniffed secretly.

The little girl couldn't hear now, and she was afraid that Xu Jiaojiao wouldn't understand her gestures, so she simply took out a palm-sized notebook from her bag and wrote in large letters, adding pinyin for more complex words:

【I write and you say, have you finished your homework? 】

The notebook suddenly stood upright in front of her. Xu Jiaojiao was dazed and blinked her big eyes. "I'm done."

【What time does your brother finish class? 】

Xu Jiaojiao: "Five o'clock."

Su Xia looked at the watch and there were still twenty minutes left.

She continued writing, [Are you hungry?]

Xu Jiaojiao was quite honest, "A little bit."

Su Xia nodded and quickly wrote a whole page, [I'll buy you a children's meal. Which toy do you want? Snow White?]

Xu Jiaojiao covered her mouth and let out a "wow".

She looked up at the other side several times, feeling a little excited and a little embarrassed. "But my brother said that there are many kinds of toys, and it depends on luck. It doesn't necessarily have to be Snow White."

Su Xia held her face in her hands and said, "He's just stupid."

【You will watch me for a while.】

Xu Jiaojiao was so impressed that her whole face lit up.

Sister Xia Xia is simply Snow White herself!

-

Zhang Jianyuan's nephew Zhang Yue is in the first grade of junior high school this year. He won a good place in the Hua Luogeng Cup in elementary school. He is at the age of being a middle school student and admiring the strong.

When I first met Xu Jiqing, I felt that although he was ranked first in the province, his scores were all taken in other places and were not worth a hair's breadth of what he got in Jiang Province.

Two sets of papers were placed in front of me.

Zhang Yue didn't even want to raise his eyelids and just focused on solving the Rubik's Cube.

Their family is not short of money, let alone tutoring resources. Their sparring partners have changed from prestigious university students to professional competition coaches, but they were all driven away by Zhang Yue's bad temper.

Xu Jiqing looked at him calmly for a moment, "Do you really want me to leave?"

The kid snorted and wiggled his butt on the stool.

"How about a bet?"

Xu Jiqing continued, "I win. You must attend two classes with me every weekend this semester. Listen carefully and do your homework well."

"If you win, I'll resign from Coach Zhang today. You can keep the trial fee and don't have to give it to me. Use it as pocket money."

Hearing the last three words, Zhang Yue finally perked up, "What's the bet?"

"You're best at the Rubik's Cube."

Xu Jiqing said, "Whoever can restore it faster, I'll give you a hand."

"…Are you sure?"

Zhang Yue paused, his eyes widening. "I've won the championship at our elementary school several times before, and I always managed to break 30 seconds!"

Xu Jiqing raised his upper eyelids slightly, "If you're so awesome, then you go first."

"I'll go first!"

Although Zhang Yue was young, he could tell that his flattery was not sincere. He held his breath and adjusted his breathing for a long time before he started again.

The two of them were messing with each other, and Xu Jiqing was very merciful and put it back after twisting it a few times.

Zhang Yue felt annoyed at being underestimated. "If you don't want to teach me, just say it. Is there any need to do this..."

During the fifteen-second observation time, the little boy was so focused that he didn't even blink in order to get rid of the new handsome teacher.

The mobile phone was placed flat on the competition test paper, and the digital stopwatch started timing. The Rubik's Cube in Zhang Yue's hand was spinning rapidly, and the fiddling action never stopped.

The moment I pressed the pause button, 24 seconds had just passed.

Zhang Yue's cheeks flushed red as he excitedly slammed the table. He leaned forward and pulled out his phone to take a picture. "See?! Holy crap! That's a second faster than my last race."

Xu Jiqing's reaction was indifferent, and he threw the Rubik's Cube to him to scramble it again.

With 24 seconds in hand, Zhang Yue felt that his pocket money was secure.

But in order to severely dampen Xu Jiqing's enthusiasm, he still tossed it over and over again for several rounds, making sure that no formula could be applied at a glance, before returning it to Xu Jiqing.

Xu Jiqing uses his left hand.

His hands were several times larger than those of a junior high school student, and his knuckles were long and bony. The same three-level Rubik's Cube looked much more delicate in his hands.

The timer started, the sliding sound of the plastic bearing was very light, and Zhang Yue's back, which was leaning on the chair, became straighter and straighter.

After the red color on the last side was restored neatly, Xu Jiqing pressed the stopwatch with his right index finger without even looking at it.

12.67 seconds.

It was nearly twice as fast as Zhang Yue's performance with two hands.

Two more rounds came, each one faster than the last. It could only be described as dazzling.

The kid was stunned, "How is it possible..."

He had only seen such speed with one hand in videos.

It’s so amazing.

"If you want to learn, I'll teach you later."

Xu Jiqing returned the Rubik's Cube to him and opened the test paper again. "You have half an hour to do this set of questions first. If you don't understand, feel free to ask me."

This kind of child is easy to understand.

When he is dissatisfied, his lips are harder than steel, but when he is sure of what he is doing, he can be more obedient than anyone else.

When the get out of class was over at five o'clock, Zhang Yue was already calling everyone "Brother Xu".

The envelope containing the trial fee was handed over. Zhang Yue hesitated and didn't want to leave. "Brother Xu, can I add you on WeChat?"

Xu Jiqing put away the pens on the table and ignored him, "Coach Zhang gave me your mother's business card."

"Hey, can I be the same as my mother?"

Zhang Yue came over to him and said, "I have a good friend in the gifted class, and he's also looking for a sparring partner. I want to discuss something with you. Can you just have the middle school section teach us two and not include anyone else? Even students from other schools are not allowed."

Xu Jiqing said indifferently, "Buying out requires extra money."

"Ah?" Zhang Yue was confused.

The kid was holding the latest model of mobile phone in his hand, and the QR code on the screen was still shining brightly.

Xu Jiqing glanced at the model and calculated the cost for him, "I can teach ten classes in four and a half days and the evening on the weekend. It would be a waste to teach only the two of you."

The difference between "being able to teach ten classes on weekends" and "having to teach ten junior high school students on weekends" is very subtle. He deliberately blurred this point, and Zhang Yue was completely confused.

He did a quick calculation and didn't hesitate much. "That's fine. We can just pay five times as much. My mom will definitely agree."

Xu Jiqing no longer refused and scanned Zhang Yue's QR code. "No rush, let's talk about this next time."

"I'll wait for you until next week. Go back and do your homework first."

Zhang Yue responded and gave several more instructions before turning around, telling him not to let anyone else get there first, and then he went down the stairs.

The trial class fee was packed in a New Year red envelope from a luxury brand, and it was not sealed.

Xu Jiqing found a loophole and the other party paid him 800 yuan for a one and a half hour class, which was more than he had expected.

He put on his bag, stood up and glanced at Xu Jiaojiao's desk.

The little girl knelt on one leg on a high stool, her entire upper body arched forward on the table in excitement. There seemed to be another girl sitting opposite her, with her long, soft and shiny hair hanging down, covering half of her face, leaving only a section of her white, tender arm exposed.

Xu Jiqing stretched out his long legs and took two quick steps.

There were two girls, one big and one small, with their plates covered with hamburger paper and French fries randomly stacked on top. Su Xia was sitting opposite Xu Jiaojiao, her eyes clear and soft, playing pick-me-up with Xu Jiaojiao using French fries.

This is an heirloom game for children all over the country. Xu Jiqing also played it when he was a child, using dried popsicle sticks that had been eaten.

The rule I remember is that everyone takes turns picking up the sticks one by one. If the other sticks move or collapse, the next person will take over.

When it came to Su Xia, things changed somehow.

Xu Jiaojiao's hands were clumsy and kept shaking, so she dropped one. Su Xia dipped it in ketchup and fed it to her.

Xu Jiaojiao's little mouth was filled with oil and ketchup was all over her cheeks. She laughed so hard that she twisted her body and giggled.

Xu Jiqing looked at it inexplicably and was a little dazed.

By the time he reacted, the person had already walked to Xu Jiaojiao's side and stood still.

Su Xia's face was blocked by her hair, so she didn't notice these things. She held the French fries for a long time. Seeing that Xu Jiaojiao didn't open her mouth again, she skillfully changed her hand and wrote on the small notebook.

【Are you full? 】

Xu Jiaojiao shook her head, wiped her mouth with her hand, and sat down again properly. She glanced at her awkwardly, then looked at her brother, "I think my brother seems to want to eat more."

Su Xia turned around suddenly and her eyes met Xu Jiqing who was standing there silently.

He was wearing a white school uniform and a black T-shirt. His eyes were reflected in the setting sun like gold. His long, slightly drooping eyelashes were thick and jet-black, making his gaze seem inexplicably fixed.

Bewitched, Su Xia said "Oh" and raised the hand holding the French fries and stretched it in front of Xu Jiqing.

It took her two seconds to realize what a stupid thing she had done.

Su Xia smiled awkwardly.

Just as he was about to withdraw his hand, Xu Jiqing closed his eyes slightly, lowered his head, and took the French fry.

He has thin lips but a bright red tongue.

The moment the hot and wet touch lingered on her fingertips, even though she knew it was an accident, Su Xia's heart still stopped and her whole body shuddered.
