Chapter 6: Shining Gold Swashes

Chapter 6: Shining Gold Swashes

The three years of high school were when the clothing online store developed the fastest.

On the eve of the Double Eleven promotion, Su Xiaojuan was so busy every day that she was dizzy. Just after I finished having dinner with her, she was called out by a phone call.

"I may not be back in the evening, so don't wait for me. Your uncle will drive you to piano lessons later, so you can go down early."

The driver was helping with the bag at the door. Before leaving, she hurriedly turned around and said, "I've poured you some warm water on the table. If you want to stop having stomachaches in the next two days, give up those milk tea and cold drinks."

Su Xia responded.

Su Xiaojuan is not tall. In order to impress others, she has been wearing high heels since she became a boss. The sound of her footsteps is crisp and clear, like a horse that is always galloping towards tomorrow.

Su Xia stood there listening fascinatedly.

She didn't return to the living room until the elevator door closed and the corridor returned to silence.

There is a fat thermos with a princess pattern on the coffee table. It was bought by Su Xiaojuan when she took her to Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time after she made money.

When Su Xia was a child, she didn't like drinking water because she thought it was tasteless and not sweet. Su Xiaojuan used this cup to bring her honey water.

In the past few years, Su Xia has been dieting to lose weight, which has disrupted her menstrual cycle. She always feels so painful on the first day of her period that she breaks out in cold sweats. Su Xiaojuan can't persuade her, so she can only silently remember the date and make her ginger tea to warm her stomach.

After entering middle school, Su Xia was ridiculed by the boys in her class because of the childish pattern on her cup, and she never took it out again.

Fortunately, Su Xiaojuan was really busy, which gave her a chance to get away with it:

Every time she came home from school, the first thing she did was to tilt her head back and drink a pot of water. Sometimes she really couldn't drink it all and passed out after just a few sips.

Ever since she could remember, Su Xiaojuan liked to pile all kinds of bright colors on herself.

The princess thermos, the shiny little hairpins, and even the cello case are all in an eye-catching red. Su Xiaojuan asked someone to buy a custom-made one from abroad. Her name was engraved on it in shiny gold cursive, which attracted a lot of attention.

Things that I used to feel embarrassed about, I now miss.

There seemed to be a powerful force in her body, pushing her onto another path in life.

There is still an hour and a half before class starts.

Su Xia put the water bottle in her bag, put on her violin case, and sent a message to her mother, "Uncle, please go directly to the conservatory to pick me up after class. I'll take the subway myself."

Su Xiaojuan replied with two voice messages, "Isn't it a practice session with those music students? Teacher Li isn't here, why are you going so early?"

"I'm warning you, Su Xia, if you find excuses to chase little boys again, I won't let you go."

Su Xia's fingers flew, [This time I really practiced the piano! ]

【real! 】

【I swear on this with all my pocket money from now on.】

Su Xiaojuan didn't know whether to believe it or not.

After two seconds, she replied with a Queen Mother emoji: "That's all."

-

In the late summer evening, the sunset is as gentle as water.

The music in the conservatory is melodious, and the corridor is filled with the unique warm scent of old wood.

The teacher, Mr. Li, is a well-known performer. Apart from the students from the school's professional classes, he has always only accepted piano students from the primary and secondary schools affiliated with the Conservatory of Music. He is unwilling to accept students with artistic talents like Su Xia. It was only after Su Xiaojuan used her connections and paid extra money that he was reluctantly willing to accept her.

Su Xia has talent, but she has never cherished it.

Even when he was most diligent, he could not sit still on the stool. He practiced the piano for an hour a day at most. Every time he went to class, he would rush into the practice room on time and come and go like the wind.

She hadn't touched a violin bow since graduating from college in her previous life.

This was the most unfamiliar but also the most serious practice class I had in my two lives. Time passed very quickly.

When Su Xia looked up again, it was already past nine o'clock, and the fellow students who had greeted her when she entered the door had already left.

The piano room is far from the back door.

By the time she packed up and went out, a black car had been waiting at the door for a while. The man had half of his arm hanging outside the window, with tiger and leopard tattoos and a thick gold chain.

The car drove in front of her and beeped twice.

Su Xia was stunned for a moment before calling out "Uncle".

The wind blew in the evening, making the girl's long hair rise and fall, and her cheeks became round and soft.

Su Lijun glanced at her twice more, then got out of the car to pick up her things. "You must be exhausted from practicing the piano. It's so hot outside. Come into the car and cool down."

He is five years younger than Su Xiaojuan and is the son that his grandmother has been waiting for. He did not inherit his parents' good looks, nor did he have Su Xiaojuan's good brains. He found several jobs in his hometown, but each time he worked for two days and then nothing happened.

My grandmother thought that others didn't know what she was worth, so she stuffed me here, under the pretext of starting me out as a handyman to help share my sister's worries.

After all, "outsiders are not as reliable as your own brother."

In the summer of his second year of high school, Su Lijun had just been in Jiangcheng for a month. He had not yet completely gotten rid of the spirit of a small county town gangster and was not yet the future "Little Mr. Su". He only occasionally shared some work with the driver.

While fastening his seatbelt, Su Lijun picked up a paper bag from the passenger seat and handed it to the back seat. "That milk tea shop you posted about on your Moments, your uncle went out of his way to queue up for you. Drink it quickly while your mother is away."

The milk tea was iced, with water droplets dripping down the sides of the cup.

"Thank you, uncle. I won't drink this anymore."

Su Xia spoke politely, but did not reach out to take it.

The man's hand holding the milk tea froze in mid-air, and his attentive smile almost froze.

This niece has been spoiled by her sister since she was a child. She has a princess-like temperament, but she is also simple and easy to coax.

What happened today?

"...Little girl, you want to lose weight, right? Uncle understands," the man glanced at her through the rearview mirror and joked as he started the car. "We're friends. If you have any requests that you're embarrassed to ask your mother, feel free to tell your uncle."

Su Xia hummed casually.

When she saw Su Xiaojuan after school, her heart was filled with the happiness of regaining what she had lost. She didn't think much about it. It was only when she met Su Lijun that she recalled -

Who else could it be except this uncle who suddenly appeared and caused my mother to be sent to prison in her previous life?

Su Lijun has no real skills, but likes to take shortcuts.

Unable to take on important responsibilities in the company, he turned his attention to his niece. While Su Xiaojuan was busy with her business and the relationship between mother and daughter was strained, he took over the unemployed tasks of picking up Su Xia from school and taking care of her daily life.

In his previous life, Su Lijun wanted to please her.

During the two years of high school, he did Su Xia many small favors and helped her skip classes countless times. Even when Su Xiaojuan was angry and cut off her pocket money, she was willing to let Su Xia swipe her card at will.

Later, the factory was being expanded and the grandmother called urgently. Su Xiaojuan asked a few questions at the dinner table. After hearing her daughter's only good words, she gave the task of coordinating the project to Su Lijun.

The man who had always been careful to please others finally showed his true colors after gaining power.

That year, a typhoon passed through and the roof of the garment factory collapsed, killing and injuring more than a dozen female workers. Su Lijun, who should have been fully responsible, fled abroad and has been missing since then.

News reports stated that when Su Xiaojuan expanded her factory, all the building materials were replaced with inferior scraps. Besides the millions paid to Su Lijun, the remaining kickbacks, amounting to tens of millions, had appeared in the company's accounts without anyone noticing.

Public opinion across the Internet was in an uproar.

Su Xiaojuan bore all the consequences of this heavy and unexpected disaster.

The traffic light turned red, Su Lijun stopped the car, and his fingers stroked the newly bought Zhonghua cigarettes in his pocket.

Su Xia pursed her lips.

It was because she only cared about herself in her previous life that she accidentally let a wolf into her home. God gave her a chance to start over, and she would never let him succeed again.
