Chapter 67 Let Me Have You!
Inside an abandoned factory in the eastern suburbs, Gu Ze was tied to a chair with ropes, his head drooping as if he were still unconscious.
To his right were several large production machines, their steel shells riddled with holes and thick with rust from years of wear. To his left were some wooden crates, which had become a breeding ground for rats and cockroaches.
The metal gate of the factory was wide open, and sunlight was the only source of light for the building. The tall, thin man and the man with the scar were sitting next to the gate eating boxed lunches.
"He's been asleep for so long, why hasn't this kid woken up yet?" The scarred man, munching on a fried pork cutlet, looked at Gu Ze. "Kawada, didn't you give him too much sleeping pills?"
"The previous anesthetic injection didn't last long enough, which is why he escaped from the car. So this time I gave him a larger dose," the tall, thin man said, taking a big gulp of beer.
It smells so good, it smells like fried pork cutlets...
So hungry, so hungry...
Gu Ze twitched his fingers, struggling to lift his heavy eyelids, followed by a feeling of weakness throughout his body and a heaviness in his head.
He shook his head and looked up, trying to clear his mind.
"Gurgle—" A long and loud gurgling sound came from Gu Ze's stomach, attracting the attention of the two men.
"Yo, finally awake!" The scarred man finished the last bite of his meal and walked up to Gu Ze.
The handsome young man raised his head and stared intently at him, his large almond-shaped eyes filled with arrogance and even a hint of contempt.
Remembering how badly he had been beaten by this man yesterday, the scarred man immediately became annoyed.
"Tsk." He hated that kind of look the most, so he scoffed and said, "Pretty boy, pretty arrogant."
After saying that, he clenched his fist and punched Gu Ze in the waist and abdomen, causing Gu Ze and the chair to fall to the ground.
"Ah—" Gu Ze's body pressed against the dirty ground. He groaned, his body trembling unconsciously. The punch he had just received dealt a severe blow to his stomach, which was already aching from hunger.
Looking at the victim lying on the ground, weak and powerless, the scarred man felt boundless pleasure and excitement.
"You used to be so strong, how come you're so weak now? Hahahaha."
He grinned wickedly, raised his foot, and kicked Gu Ze in the stomach again.
"Hiss—if you've got the guts, untie me and let's have a fair fight! You despicable scoundrel!" Gu Ze glared fiercely at the scarred man.
This remark further enraged the other party, and Gu Ze was kicked in the chest several more times.
"Scarface, that's enough, don't kill him." At this moment, the tall, thin man walked out from behind the scarred man and pretended to help Gu Ze up.
"Hmph." The scarred man, not yet satisfied with the beating, immediately frowned. "Then go and inform your sister-in-law."
Why aren't you going?
"Just go when I tell you to."
The skilled man rolled his eyes at the scarred man and reluctantly walked towards the car outside.
"Sister-in-law, that person has woken up."
"Hmm." Kuraki Koori glanced sideways at the tall, thin man, opened the passenger door, and got out.
"You two can leave now, and close the door behind you." She gave the two orders as she walked towards Gu Ze.
"yes."
"Bang!" The heavy iron door made a crashing sound, and the entire factory interior instantly became dark.
A rustling sound! It seemed as if several rats were hiding in the shadows, spying on the two people inside the factory.
As Gu Ze watched Kuraki Koori slowly walk towards him, he swallowed hard, feeling a sense of foreboding.
Kuraki Koori was dressed the same as yesterday, her radiant appearance contrasting sharply with Gu Ze's disheveled state.
"Mr. Gu Ze, it's a pleasure to meet you." Kuraki Koori looked down at Gu Ze and accurately stated his name.
"You know me?" Gu Ze's voice was a little hoarse, but his aura was no less imposing than that of the person opposite him.
"A detective who walks the gray area, hovering between the legal and illegal worlds, you have a high rating on the dark web, and everyone who has done business with you speaks highly of you."
Kuraki Koori paused for a moment, then said with a smile, "I presume you already know who I am, so I won't introduce myself."
"certainly."
“My employer, Dr. Jiro Mizushima, who is also your husband, asked me to help him find an important lost document,” Gu Ze said calmly. “It’s a pity, your husband seems to be suspicious of you.”
"Jiro Mizushima appears to be an ordinary doctor at a private hospital, but in reality, he is the mastermind behind that private hospital, engaging in organ trafficking."
"The recent cases of multiple disappearances are inextricably linked to you two."
Kuraki Koori clapped her hands and exclaimed, "Haha, that's really amazing! You actually investigated so much!"
"Yes, we did those disappearances. We co-founded the organization, so why should he kick me out!"
"People always strive for higher goals, and betrayal is commonplace when it comes to greater interests." Kuraki Koori pinched Gu Ze's chin, shoved her face right in front of him, and said quietly.
The strong, pungent perfume on the other person made Gu Ze frown slightly, his face clearly saying, "Stay away from me."
Seeing Gu Ze's resistant expression, Kuraki Koori suddenly became interested. "Hehe, you're good-looking, you're my type."
She released her grip, her gaze slowly moving down from Gu Ze's face, then stopping at a certain point, smiling enigmatically.
"No, big sister, what do you want to do!" Gu Ze visibly panicked.
Kuraki Koori felt that the other party was becoming more and more to her liking, "Give in to me, and I'll spare your life."
"Ha, you wish!" Gu Ze turned his head away and said fiercely.
"Hahaha, interesting." With that, Kuraki Koori reached out and slipped her hand inside Gu Ze's collar.
"What are you doing! What are you doing! You ***!" Gu Ze cursed.
"Hahaha."
At that moment, the large iron gate was pushed open with a clang, and a tall, thin man appeared in the doorway.
"Sister-in-law, my brother..."
Before he could finish speaking, the tall, thin man stopped abruptly upon seeing the scene inside, stammering, "Big sister-in-law... this... this..."
"What is it?" Kuraki Koori, clearly annoyed by the interruption, withdrew her hand and turned to look at the tall, thin man.
"My brother wants you to go see him immediately."
"Okay, get out. Remember, you didn't see anything," Kuraki Koori warned.
"Yes," the tall, thin man replied, then slipped away, giving the impression of fleeing in disarray.
"I've suddenly lost all interest." Kuraki Koori's tone was tinged with frustration. "What a misfortune! Mr. Gu Ze, I can only ask you to die."
Misfortune? That's luck! Gu Ze dared not think about what would have happened if no one had come to disturb him!
Before leaving, Kuraki Koori said one last thing: "Mr. Gu Ze, you're so smart, why don't you guess how you'll die, hahahaha."
When the gate closed again, Gu Ze was left all alone.
"Phew—" Gu Ze took a deep breath. "I wonder when Conan and the others will come to rescue me?"
He shook his hands, which were bound by hemp rope.
"It's a bit sturdy, but there shouldn't be any major problems."
After waking up, Gu Ze had already planned a perfect escape.
His gaze fell on the pile of beer bottles left behind by the scarred man and the tall, thin man near the gate.
The rope tied to his feet wasn't very tight, just enough for Gu Ze to jump over. And so, he tried to move toward the pile of beer bottles.
When he got very close, Gu Ze let himself fall to the ground, used the hand behind the chair to hook the wine bottle, and then smashed it with force.
"Crash—" The bottle shattered with a loud crack.
Cutting rope with shards of beer bottles is quite difficult, and it's even more difficult now that Gu Ze is tied up.
After more than ten minutes, Gu Ze had scratches of various sizes on his hands, and his forehead was covered in sweat.
But perseverance pays off, and he finally cut the rope.
"Sigh, I guess I'll have to hide a small knife next time," Gu Ze said, wiping the sweat from his forehead with a look of utter despair.
Standing up again, Gu Ze examined his injuries.
His clothes were covered in dust, and his pants had a small tear from falling off the car and scraping against the ground, with a slight scrape on his knee.
Gu Ze lifted his shirt, revealing bruises and welts where the scarred man had kicked him; it was a gruesome sight.
"I wonder if Hagiwara and the others will scold me if I go back like this."
As he spoke, Gu Ze pictured Matsuda Jinpei cracking his knuckles.
"Gurgle, gurgle—" His stomach protested again, and Gu Ze could only rub it to soothe it.
He vowed to himself, "When I get back, I'm going to give him a good beating!"
The most urgent thing is to escape from this factory.
Thinking it over, he focused his attention on a small window on the wall directly opposite the main gate. The window was a bit high, about two or three meters high.
To climb up, you'll need something to cushion it, and discarded raw material boxes inside the factory are a good option.
Gu Ze gestured a couple of times, estimating that two or three boxes would be enough to get close to the window.
Without further ado, the box, covered in a thick layer of dust, was dragged along, sending dust flying and mosquitoes scattering everywhere.
Several centipedes, each as long as a hand, twisted their bodies and swayed their hundred legs as they fled into the shadows.
The physical condition of the body in the vest was completely incomparable to that of the original body. It was weak and became breathless after only a few steps.
After a great deal of effort, Gu Ze finally finished building the "ladder".
He stepped onto the chair, pushed off with his legs, and landed nimbly on the wooden lid of the box, making the lid creak under his foot.
"Ping-pong—" Gu Ze picked up the chair he had just stepped on and smashed it against the glass window.
The flying shards of glass grazed Gu Ze's cheek, leaving a bloody mark.
He peered out the window and saw that it was a river with a relatively fast current.
As evening fell, the river surface was bathed in the glow of the setting sun, transforming into a shimmering golden-red ribbon. The turbid water, carrying mud and sand, rushed forward, while the shadows of trees on the opposite bank stretched out in a continuous expanse, and in the distance, fields of crops stretched out before them.
As expected, Gu Ze heard the sound of flowing water behind the factory when he was tied to the chair, which led him to come up with this plan.
He gritted his teeth, leaped into the river, and fell in.
"Thump—"
