Chapter 103: Recursive Prison of Fractal Maze

The moment the ship's engine jet slammed into Universe 111, the porthole glass suddenly revealed an infinitely nested pattern of Koch snowflakes. The triple helix mark on the back of Lin Yue's neck trembled violently—the inner causal Möbius strip oozed golden-red recursive cracks, the middle dimensional pyramid condensed into silver-blue fractal crystals, and the outer quantum equilibrium curve burst out with a purple-gold self-similar light stream. The three collided in the entropy-balanced light stream, splashing countless suspended Koch curve fragments, each fragment infinitely replicating to generate new fractal traps. The calico cat's gear eyes suddenly jammed with recursive gears, and the wreckage of its collar projected a wildly iterating Julia set: "Warning! Fractal spacetime rule collapse detected. All physical laws are self-destructing in self-similar recursion!"

Fractal interference patterns emerged from Lu Li's golden-purple coded form: his left arm decomposed into a Koch curve (rule recursion) with a 60% probability, while his right arm condensed into a Menger sponge (space folding) with a 40% probability. The two states devoured each other in iteration, leaving fractal afterimages of interwoven red, yellow, and blue in the air. When he pointed at the star map, seven afterimages appeared simultaneously on his fingertips, touching the seven recursive singularities of the fractal universe: "Look at these self-similar gaps—the dark purple fluid is weaving a 'cage of laws.' Each observed fractal generates a new law of destruction, while unobserved fractals breed even more complex chaotic logic."

Lin Yue gazed out the porthole. Countless translucent fractal structures floated in the void, each encapsulating fragments of recursively collapsing spacetime. Within one fractal, the gravitational constant simultaneously exhibited both inverse square and inverse cube calculations (rule superposition). Within adjacent fractals, the same constant collapsed into a single formula (rule determination) due to the observer's gaze. At the central fractal core, a dark purple fluid entangled the logical chain of physical laws like a recursive algorithm, forcibly splitting the derivation into two quantum states: "proof" and "falsification," oscillating eternally in a self-similar cycle. As the spaceship passed through the fractal cluster, Lin Yue's reflection in the porthole split into an infinite number—some calculating infinite decimals of pi (Rule A), others disproving the axioms of Euclidean geometry (Rule B). Many more reflections flickered in the recursive state between the two, forming an indecipherable fractal ghost.

"The core of the fractal maze is the 'paradox of rules.'" Lu Li pressed his code hand against the porthole, the recursive equations of the Mandelbrot set emerging from his fingertips. "The collapse of rules here is a 'recursive lock mechanism' twisted by the dark purple fluid—like allowing pi to exist simultaneously in its last digit and in an infinite, non-looping superposition. Once the observer's logic is trapped, they will exhaust their cognitive possibilities in a cycle of self-consistency and contradiction. The memory fragments of the 'Time Anchor' show that the fluid exploits the self-similarity of fractal geometry to transform this place into a 'maze of rules and chaos.'"

Before he could finish his words, the spaceship was engulfed in a vortex of countless fractal iterations. The strange power of fractal spacetime caused the ship's hull to simultaneously assume three forms: Euclidean geometry (observed flat), Lobachevsky geometry (observed curved), and Riemannian geometry (unobserved). The metal emitted a sharp buzzing sound, like a recursive function error. The calico cat's gears rained down upon the fractal, instantly splitting into countless pieces—each piece spinning, disintegrating, and reorganizing within a different branch of rules, forming a rule tree composed of countless "establishments" and "subversions," each branch leading to a different logical universe.

"We must find the 'source of rules'!" Lin Yue's thread of time plunged into the fractal vortex, her consciousness thrown into the torment of overlapping rules. She saw countless versions of herself struggling within different branches of rules: with a 60% probability of herself decomposing into a Koch curve (the ultimate recursion of rules), a 40% probability of herself converging into a Menger sponge (the ultimate folding of rules), and in the remaining branches, her consciousness was torn into fragments of "desire for deduction" and "desire for falsification," interfering with each other in the fractal cloud, making it impossible for her to discern the physical laws they were following.

Lu Li's code flow transformed into a golden-purple rule buffer layer that enveloped her: "Don't be contaminated by recursive consciousness! Every fractal structure has a 'zero rule critical point,' just like the termination condition of a recursive function, where all rule branches cancel each other out. Look at the dark purple fluid lines—they stitch together the gaps between different rule branches, trapping the observer in an 'infinite recursive cage.'" Lin Yue followed the flow of code light and saw that the dark purple fluid, like a rule string, bound all the branches of the fractal. With each fractal iteration, the string would tighten, dragging more observers' logic into a cycle of self-consistency and contradiction.

The calico cat's mechanical claws unfolded into a rule neutralizer, and golden-purple neutralizing frequencies burst out between the gears: "An abnormal rule pulse has been detected! Something in the fractal core is generating all rule branches simultaneously, as if the brain of the universe is calculating all possible logical systems." The spacecraft's engine fell into a strange state - when a certain rule branch was observed, the engine parameters collapsed to the corresponding form (Rule A is superluminal, Rule B is subluminal), and the parameters in the unobserved branches remained in a superposition state. The repeated superposition and collapse caused the engine power to jump wildly between all possible values, and it could disintegrate at any time due to interference from the rules.

Lin Yue raised the evolved Star Track baton and noticed the spiral gear on top flashing wildly between all the regular colors. She attempted to mobilize the "zero-rule frequency" of the quantum equilibrium universe. As soon as the frequency left the baton, it was decomposed by the fractal into countless regular waves. Each wave represented the possibility of "application" or "non-application." Interfering with each other within the fractal cloud, the baton fell into a state of logical quantum entanglement. "No! 'Observation collapses' here. Any stable logic will be forcibly split into regular branches by the fractal!" The triple spiral mark on the back of her neck resonated with the core of the source of rules, and memories of the "Anchor of Time" emerged before her eyes.

In memory, the original observer, the "Anchor of Time," stood at the core of the fractal universe—the "Heart of the Source of Rules," a regular polyhedron suspended in the void. His consciousness was split into countless logical states. The red consciousness in branch A deduced relativity, the blue consciousness in branch B verified quantum mechanics, and the green consciousness in branch C maintained a state of logical superposition. The countless consciousnesses interfered with each other, trapping him in eternal self-contradiction. A dark purple fluid grew in the cracks of the polyhedron, absorbing the interference energy of the different regular branches and growing into a "Rule Lock Network" that entangled the universe, each node imprisoning a fragmented logical state of consciousness.
