Daily Match
"FLG's AD carry really has no self-awareness."
Shen He was wiping the keyboard, not even looking up: "What's wrong with you now?"
“In the last post-match interview,” Chen Yuchuan said, slamming his phone on the table. “He was quite pretentious.”
Shen He glanced at him and said, "His strength is indeed quite good, but he's a bit arrogant."
"Arrogance?" Chen Yuchuan laughed, his disdain evident. "Fine, let him know what a normal laning phase is like this game."
Shenhe warned him: "Just do your own thing and don't bother me."
Chen Yuchuan put his arm around his shoulder: "I have to get revenge for you, bro."
The first game's draft phase is over, and VLG has secured a strong early-game composition. Chen Yuchuan picked Predator, an unconventional jungle pathing that clearly indicates a gank on the bottom lane.
The opposing jungler was also farming quite fast, arriving almost simultaneously. Both sides were determined to gain an advantage in the bottom lane, and from level three onwards, the bottom lane became a 3v3 battleground.
Later on, neither side put on any pretense and just insisted on fighting in the bottom lane, ignoring the situation in other lanes.
However, VLG's mid laner was superior, with Lin Xiaoyu securing two consecutive solo kills in the mid lane, gaining a crushing economic advantage within fifteen minutes and beginning to influence the side lanes. The bot lane, while fiercely contested, ultimately became an outsider in this match.
The entire rhythm was in the mid lane, and team fights were decided by Lin Xiaoyu's top-notch crowd control.
When the match ended, Shenhe glanced at the stats panel. His score was 5-4-3, while the opposing AD carry's score was 4-5-4. The two sides had been locked in a fierce battle in the bottom half of the map for over twenty minutes without any clear rhythm. The MVP was awarded to the mid laner.
"Why are both sides playing like idiots?" Chen Yuchuan took off his headphones and frowned.
Shen He was speechless and nodded: "It's mainly because you're stupid. Why are you arguing with the other side?"
In the second round of ban/pick, Wind String Hunter was unexpectedly released.
This hero is not only Shenhe's signature champion, but also the strongest bot lane champion in recent patches. Once it gains an advantage, it can dictate the pace of the game, making it a true Tier 0 champion, completely different from when Shenhe used it to climb the ranks against the meta.
Although it has the lowest defensive stats of all heroes, the risk and reward go hand in hand. Giving it up on both sides is a gamble—a gamble on whether the opponent dares to take it, and a gamble on whether the opponent's AD carry has the courage and skill.
As expected, FLG instantly locked down the Wind String Hunter on the first floor.
"He's finished." Chen Yuchuan leaned back in his chair, his mouse hovering over an assassin jungler. This hero has high burst damage and strong chasing ability, making him a natural enemy of squishy assassin-type AD carries like Fengxian, but his team fight ability and ability to finish off opponents are weak.
Shen He knew that Chen Yuchuan was a strong individual, but he couldn't be careless when facing an opponent like FLG.
"Don't mess around," Shen He said calmly. "You're going to play counter as a backup and consider the overall situation. Don't act like a fool like you did in the last game."
Chen Yuchuan's finger hovered over the mouse as he turned to look at him.
Shenhe didn't look at him, staring at the BP interface: "I don't need you in the early game, just find opportunities for me in team fights and help me get Shadow Blade."
The team microphone went silent for two seconds. No one in the team had ever questioned Chen Yuchuan's choices before; he played however he wanted, and his word was law. Everyone was wondering just how much influence Chen Yuchuan really had over his so-called good brother, Shen He.
Without hesitation, the mouse moved away, and the Shadow Blade was locked on the second floor of VLG.
"This hero selection..." On the commentary stage, the two commentators exchanged a glance. "There's something to it. If Shadowblade can hold his own in the early game, he can be quite effective against carries in the late game, but he also has quite a few weaknesses."
"Here it comes, here it comes, a million poke skills and small crowd control, how is Shadow Blade supposed to play in the early game?" As FLG picked strong crowd control mid and support in the second and third floors, his partner chimed in, "FLG's lineup is too targeted, can VLG's bot lane survive the first ten minutes?"
The live chat exploded instantly:
[Second floor player picks Shadow Blade without considering team composition? Are they just giving away points?]
【The opposing team has all counters, how am I supposed to play?】
[Is he crazy?]
[Did you really think you were invincible after winning by stomping noobs last time?]
[Are you underestimating Falun Gong?]
This game is so predictable, you can see the whole picture at a glance.
Once in the game, FLG indeed played exceptionally fiercely.
The enemy support dove the tower at level three to harass, and together with the mid laner, they frequently ganked bot lane, keeping Chenhe and Yiyang practically pinned under their tower. Chenhe was down over thirty CS, their health remained below half, and they were significantly behind in both gold and experience.
Chen Yuchuan stayed in the top and mid lanes the entire time, securing neutral objectives, controlling vision in the jungle, and ganking, but he didn't even glance at the bottom lane.
The comments section began to question:
Did these two have a falling out after the last game?
[The bot lane is getting completely dominated, and the jungler is still just wandering around in the jungle?]
[Just accept it if they pick such a useless hero.]
[What's wrong with junglers having to be dogs for your AD carry?]
Styx is definitely to blame this game.
But everyone on the field understood the unspoken agreement. It didn't matter which AD carry they picked; they simply couldn't win in lane. The jungler couldn't come to help relieve the pressure either, otherwise they'd fall into the enemy's rhythm.
Eight minutes in, the enemy AD pushed down the bottom lane tower and immediately rotated to the mid lane. This champion is too strong in the early game, making it easy to snowball and preventing VLG from having a chance to drag the game into the late game. FLG pushed towers and controlled resources smoothly, taking the second dragon at twelve minutes and extending their lead to four thousand.
Chen Yuchuan continued to push lanes and control resources at a leisurely pace. Shenhe handed the lane to him, and he and the support roamed around engaging in team fights, but they didn't find any particularly good opportunities. However, with Chen Yuchuan providing backup, the situation remained relatively stable.
Twenty minutes later, a small team fight broke out in the bottom lane.
Chen Yuchuan pushed too far into the lane and was ganked by the enemy jungler and bottom laner. With no way out, he could only charge into the enemy team and deal maximum damage.
The next second, Shadow Blade slashed in from the flank, unleashing a WQ combo in melee form. The three-stage damage instantly delivered a high burst of damage, leaving the opponent with no chance to use their skills. Chenhe and the opponent fell one after another.
"Triple Kill!"
A triple kill, and a decisive one at that.
Both commentators stood up on the stage:
"This entry point! This timing! Styx waited a full twenty minutes!"
"FLG had been playing steadily for so long, why did they suddenly get so carried away? They shouldn't have chased them so deeply!"
The style of the bullet comments suddenly changed:
Holy crap, this group-buying stunt by the Sichuan dogs is too outrageous.
[It was intentional, wasn't it? The Falun Gong team was a bit careless.]
【Wait a minute? Styx was just in the mid lane, how come he's here so fast??】
Wow, who makes "Football Power" shoes for seniors?
[With the old man's shoes and the deliberately reserved movement speed passive, did they even anticipate this kind of small skirmish?]
This Shadow Blade is truly something special.
After securing a triple kill, Shadowblade's economy caught up significantly, and with his equipment complete, he could finally catch his breath and farm. In late-game team fights, the enemy's squishy heroes no longer dared to show their faces.
Thirty minutes in, at the enemy's second tower. Shenhe, in melee form, used Flash to close the distance to the enemy jungler who was providing vision, unleashing extremely high burst damage at close range. The enemy used continuous dashes to create distance, and Shenhe instantly switched forms, delivering a long-range sniper kill just before the passive mark disappeared.
With the jungler losing, VLG secured Baron Nashor and pushed down the base in one fell swoop.
The stadium erupted in a huge cheer the moment the game ended.
The camera cuts to the VLG players' bench.
Shen He took off his headphones, and a slight smile appeared on his face. It wasn't obvious, but he was definitely smiling.
"Styx, that was amazing! He's definitely going to be on the highlight reel again." Lin Xiaoyu turned his chair around to give Shen He a high five in celebration.
Chen Yuchuan reached out from the side, bypassing Lin Xiaoyu, and grabbed Shen He's hand: "The world's number one ADC is awesome."
Shen He paused for a moment, glancing at Chen Yuchuan. Chen Yuchuan's smile was rather irritating, and he showed no intention of letting go.
Shen He gestured with his eyes for him to stop doing anything reckless, but Chen Yuchuan pretended not to see it, shook his hand a few times, and then let go.
The team members praised Shen He enthusiastically, creating a lively atmosphere. Shen He, unusually, didn't feel awkward in this situation. Chen Yuchuan stood aside, casually winding up his headphone cord, a smile always playing on his lips.
During the handshake, the opposing AD looked at Shenhe and said, "You played really well."
Shen He smiled and extended his hand to him.
"I had a lot of fun playing these two games from start to finish." The opposing AD carry looked excited, and his handshake was very firm.
Shenhe shook hands with him again: "Your wind string is also very detailed. I was under a lot of pressure in the second game."
This wasn't just polite talk. The enemy AD's early trades and positioning genuinely forced Chenhe to be on his toes. The feeling of being completely focused on dismantling the opponent's strategy and finding weaknesses gave him a long-lost sense of excitement.
"Let's play again next time," the opposing AD released his grip, a hint of defiance in his smile. "I won't lose."
"Okay." Shen He nodded.
The two exchanged a glance and saw something similar in each other's eyes—a mutual appreciation that only an AD carry could understand.
As Shen He walked forward, Chen Yuchuan inexplicably caught up from behind, reached out and hooked his arm around his neck, striking an intimate pose.
The two didn't go to celebrate after the game, but went straight back to the car. Shen He leaned back in his seat, closed his eyes, and reminisced about the key moments when his adrenaline surged on the field. Today was another rare and enjoyable game.
Chen Yuchuan took out his cigarette case, pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth, but didn't light it.
Shen He opened her eyes and turned her head to look at him: "You're not jealous, are you?"
"You can actually sense it?" Chen Yuchuan turned to look at him, a smile in his eyes, and said, "Just bear with it. What can I do when my wife is a succubus-type ADC?"
Shen He froze, taking two seconds to react. His face instantly changed, and he couldn't help but swear: "You fucking—"
"What's wrong, baby? Why are you so angry?" Chen Yuchuan laughed even harder when he saw his distraught expression.
"Can you please stop yelling like that, bro? I'll really die if I hear that." Shen He covered his head, his brows furrowed so deeply they could trap a fly, and added, "I'm begging you."
Chen Yuchuan stared at his annoyed expression for a few seconds, then suddenly found it amusing. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and pretended to seriously examine Chen He: "So what do you want me to call you? As your boyfriend, I can't just call you Chen He every day, can I?"
Shen He didn't speak, just looked out the window.
"Baby?" Chen Yuchuan said slowly. "Wife?" he drawled. "Xiaohe?"
Shen He suddenly turned around, put an arm across Chen Yuchuan's neck, and pressed him back into the chair, his eyes looking like he wanted to kill him: "I want you dead."
Chen Yuchuan leaned back in his chair, feeling suppressed, but he actually laughed. He took the opportunity to put one arm around Shen He's waist and the other around the back of his head, pulling him sharply closer. Chen Yuchuan raised his chin and gave him a hard kiss on the lips: "No way. You'll be widowed at such a young age."
Shen He couldn't hold back any longer. He finally understood that Chen Yuchuan was just a greasy idiot addicted to playing domineering CEOs. He reached out and pushed him to the other side: "Get lost and don't bother me."
Chen Yuchuan bumped his shoulder against the other side of the car door, but he was still smiling; clearly, this shameless behavior made him happy.
Shen He ignored him. Chen Yuchuan then remembered the handshake earlier. He stared at Shen He for a few seconds and asked, "You had a 'good time' playing against that fake AD today?"
Shen He took a sip of water and looked ahead: "I am quite happy."
Chen Yuchuan narrowed his eyes, his gaze somewhat dangerous.
Shen He turned to look at him and calmly asked, "Isn't it good that I'm happy?"
Chen Yuchuan was stunned.
He stared at Shenhe for a few seconds, then suddenly realized that all the effort he had put in was to make Shenhe happy. Weren't all those drafts and tactics meant to help Shenhe win beautifully and have a great time?
Now that Shen He is happy, why am I being jealous for no reason?
Chen Yuchuan was silent for a moment, then took the cigarette out of his mouth and changed the subject: "Have you been happy lately?"
Shen He was taken aback, not expecting him to ask this question suddenly.
"Playing matches, and being with me." Chen Yuchuan looked at him, his tone unusually serious. "Are you happy?"
Shen He lowered his eyes, thought for a moment, and nodded: "That's good."
"Pretty good?" Chen Yuchuan wasn't satisfied with this answer. "You really think it's pretty good?"
"Hmm." Shen He looked up at him, a hint of a smile in his eyes. "It's fine."
Chen Yuchuan stared at the hint of a smile in his eyes for a long time. Shen He rarely smiled these days, and even less often did he show such a relaxed expression. The lights outside the car window swept by, casting shadows on his face, and a rare warmth appeared in his usually indifferent eyes.
Chen Yuchuan suddenly reached out and rubbed his thumb against the corner of Chen He's eye.
"Okay." Chen Yuchuan withdrew his hand, looked at him and smiled, "That's good enough."
He leaned back to the side, shifting to a more comfortable position, and casually asked, "By the way, what about the good stuff you said you'd show me last time?"
Shenhe thought for a moment.
"I've been waiting for a long time." Chen Yuchuan's eyes were slightly amused. "I thought my darling was going to give me a gift."
Shen He's eyebrows twitched when he heard the word "baby," but with the even more disgusting word "wife" preceding it, he could barely accept "baby" now. He took out his phone from his pocket, pulled out a photo, and threw it over.
Chen Yuchuan caught the phone and froze after seeing what was on the screen.
It was a bracelet, a limited edition collaboration between his favorite team and a well-known brand. He'd been so busy pestering Shen He lately that he hadn't really noticed it. The bracelet was on a long, clean wrist—clearly Shen He's wrist.
Chen Yuchuan looked up at him, his expression somewhat complicated: "For me?"
“I originally intended to give it to you,” Shen He said calmly, “but then I found the design quite nice, so I used it myself.”
Chen Yuchuan stared at him for a few seconds, barely managing to suppress a laugh. Shen He didn't like the team at all, and had even less interest in this kind of joint sponsorship. The only explanation was that he had offended Shen He, so Shen He didn't want to give him the gift.
Chen Yuchuan turned to the side, resting his elbow on the back of the seat, and looked at Shen He's profile.
"Is it good-looking?" Chen Yuchuan asked.
"good."
"show me?"
"You dare to challenge me?"
Chen Yuchuan pretended to calm down, leaned back in his chair, and looked out the window.
The next second, he suddenly grabbed Shen He's wrist with lightning speed and precision, pulled open the sleeve of the team uniform, and instead of a bracelet, he revealed the beaded bracelet that Chen Yuchuan had given him last time.
Chen Yuchuan stared at it for a few seconds.
"Let go," Shen He said, pulling his hand back.
Chen Yuchuan leaned back in his seat, unable to hide the smile on his lips, but still pretended to be calm and said, "Fine, don't give it to me then." He paused, then added, "I have prepared something nice for you, you can wear it on your wrist."
Shen He pulled down his sleeve, recalling the gifts he and Chen Yuchuan had exchanged, and said somewhat speechlessly, "Is it true that boyfriends can't give each other any gifts other than bracelets, bangles, and necklaces?"
“My thing is different from these.” Chen Yuchuan turned to look at him, a hint of smugness in his eyes.
"What's different?"
You'll know when you get there.
